“Highly recommend Tiffany to take care of your fur babies!! She provided updates with photos and spent time playing with my cats during check-ins. My cats seemed very comfortable around her as well :) Thank you!!”

“Clytie was super great with looking after our cat and gave very detailed notes on the visit which made me feel really good about how everything was going. Our cat warmed up to her super quickly so I think that’s a green flag.”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 16 and have years of hands-on experience with pets of all ages and personalities. I have a 1-year-old cat of my own, help care for my boyfriend’s two pitbulls, and my family has two shih tzus, so I’m very comfortable with both small and large breeds. I also regularly pet sit for neighborhood furry friends, and even while attending boarding school in Boston, I cared for local pets there as well. I am committed to your furry family members’ happiness, comfort, and well-being. I provide personalized care tailored to each pet’s unique needs, whether they’re an energetic puppy or a senior pet who needs extra patience and attention. My genuine love for animals and strong attention to detail show in everything I do—from keeping routines consistent to sending regular updates and photos—so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’m a recent graduate currently working part-time (4-6 hour shifts) while studying for my personal training certification, so I have a flexible schedule with lots of free time. Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I can consistently handle feeding, walks, playtime, and cleaning tasks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their normal routine to keep them comfortable and stress-free. I take care of feeding, fresh water, walks or litter box cleaning, and playtime based on the owner’s instructions. I also keep the home clean and provide updates so clients know their pet is safe and well cared for.
“Jackie was great with our pups! We’ve recently had a mobility issue with our one dog but she was understanding and was able to provide her medicine without any issues. She took our other pup out for a little walk each time in addition to taking them both outside for breaks. I could easily see how much fun our pups had with Jackie in the photos that she sent over!”

“Riley was amazing! Our dog is old, has movement issues, and needs medication. She was so great with him! She gave wonderful updates, consistently, about our dog and cat. She sent pictures daily and was super responsive! She was absolutely great to work with, easy to communicate with, and made our vacation so relaxing because we knew our pets were taken care of so well, while we were away! Highly recommend her!”

“Thanks for taking care of Howie. Loved all the pictures, it looked like he had a great time under your care. Would recommend Jordon plan on using her again in the future.”

About: Hi! I’m Elizabeth, a lifelong animal lover based in the Pittsburgh area. I understand that pets are family, and when you leave them with someone else you want the same care, attention, and safety you’d give them yourself. I spent 13 years with my sweet mini poodle mix Theo, who taught me how much love and personality can live in one small dog. Because of him, I’m especially attentive to each pet’s unique quirks, routines, and comfort needs. Whether your dog loves long walks, couch snuggles, or a consistent routine, I’m happy to adapt to what makes them feel most at home. I’m dependable, communicative, and I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pet will be treated with the same patience, kindness, and care I would want for my own. I currently work from home and have complete flexibility with my job to ensure your pet gets as much attention, walks, and love throughout the day as they need. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your pet’s routine closely, provide a calm environment, and ensure they are always supervised, secure, and well cared for. I will always send you updates and let you know what we are up to on our days together.
“Libby has been so great to my dog Fox! She always communicates if there’s any change to the schedule and I know Fox is super grateful to have her drop in and keep him company!”

“Rachel was amazing with our 2 cats. She was very responsive and took the time to play with them each visit in addition to the basic requirements. We also had issues with our house while we were traveling, and she made sure to keep us informed and the cats safe!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover with hands on experience caring for dogs and rabbits. I’ve grown up with breeds like German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers, and I’ve been training my own dogs since I was 15. I’ve also fostered and litter-trained rabbits for years. I’m reliable, attentive, and passionate about providing pets with the care, comfort, and attention they deserve. Whether it’s playtime or just good company, I’ve got your pet covered! Pet care fits perfectly into my current routine. I’m a junior at the University of Pittsburgh studying education, and I’m home for the summer visiting my family during the month of May. Since I’m off from school and have a completely open schedule, I’m available full-time and can take on any pet care jobs, whether it’s daily walks, overnight sitting, or last-minute needs. I’m also using this time to earn money to help pay for college, so I’m motivated, responsible, and ready to give your pets the attention and care they deserve! When home sitting, I make sure dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by keeping them on their normal routine, whether that means feeding times, walks, play, or just companionship. I always give them plenty of attention, keep the home clean, and make sure they get exercise and mental stimulation throughout the day. For walks, I focus on safety and enjoyment. I stick to the dog’s usual route if preferred, or explore nearby paths while keeping a steady pace that suits their energy level. I’m attentive to their behavior, keep them leashed at all times, and make sure they get fresh water and cool-down time after longer walks.
“Julianna was a rock star pet sitter for our family while we travelled out of town for a week. She was on top of the needs of our dog and kitties and kept us connected with adorable photos. Our Newfie will surely miss seeing her new friend every day now that we’re home!”

About: I have loved and cared for many different dogs of many different breeds, ages, and personalities throughout my lifetime. I am pet cpr certified, have experience with administering medication, shy and/ or “aggressive” breeds. I am currently a nursing student, with classes in the morning / early afternoon 2 -3 days a week (changing per semester). Moreover, I am a home-care nurse aid part-time, with shifts consisting of 2-4 hours per patient, 1-2 patients a day. This allows extra range and flexibility in my schedule because often there are large gaps between patients, giving me time to stop home for walks, feeding and greeting. This also ensures that I am never gone from home for more than at most 4 hours any given day. I have a large back yard partially fenced in, bordering an ally away from traffic. I am active and love to include my (and hopefully your) dog in walks runs and playtime. I have a beautiful dog park two miles away full of very friendly and energetic fur friends!

About: I grew up with dogs - pitbull terrier, poodle, german shepard and unknown breeds that just showed up at our doorstep. I am currently a plant parent but I am interested in adopting a cat and/or dog with my partner. Until then, we enjoy our family and friends’ pets. I’ve been an educator for over a decade and when I’m not at work I enjoy being outdoors and staying active. I work for the duration of the school year and with it coming to an end, I can be flexible throughout the summer months and can be accommodating beyond the summer. I do not currently have pets in my home so pets will not have to worry about getting along or not with other strange pets nor would your pets have to be concerned with smelling other pets on me.
West Oakland pet parents share their Rover experiences
Aisha is the absolute best ❤️ My 4 cats are very complicated. They all eat different foods and are having issues getting along. Aisha was so sweet and accommodating from the very beginning. She’s very reliable, handling my cats and their complexities without any issues. She went above and beyond with respect to my cats and in regards of my home. I’ve never felt so comfortable with a Rover sitter before! I know I never have to worry when Aisha is watching my babies 🥹🥰

This is our second time having Ashely sit for us. She has been excellent both times. She is respectful of our home, listens to our asks, and is great with communication. She keeps us updated with pictures through the app which is greatly appreciated and both our dog and cat enjoy her company. Overall, a very good experience, and I highly recommend her!

Jackie was great with our pups! We’ve recently had a mobility issue with our one dog but she was understanding and was able to provide her medicine without any issues. She took our other pup out for a little walk each time in addition to taking them both outside for breaks. I could easily see how much fun our pups had with Jackie in the photos that she sent over!

Jordan is an awesome sitter! Extremely responsive, communicative, attentive, and positive. I appreciated her regular updates and photos of my cats while I was traveling, which brought great peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. Will definitely be a repeat client!

Jennifer is fantastic with our kitty Pokey! She's thorough, spends quality time with him and really cares about him. She keeps everything clean while she's caring for him and makes sure he consistently gets everything he needs. Her reports are detailed and helpful. She always brings in our mail, leaves our home neat and tidy, and prepares for our return. Jennifer is an excellent sitter!
