“Abby, was so great with our Sailor. She has a friendly, confident and warm way with dogs! Sailor loved her right away when they met. I could tell how excellent her caregiving was as he did all his routines great with her-- a walk, bedtime routine, ate his meals, was calm and great when we got home. He is used to us being around and I hadn't left him for an overnight for some years, so it is all the more impressive that he adjusted so quickly to Abby. Also, we loved getting the detailed updates and pictures! We are so happy we were able to have Abby help us for these couple of days and know Sailor will want to have her back! Thanks for taking care with all our little notes about things, Abby! Hope we can have you back soon!”

About: I've been a pet owner since I was two years old and played a major role in taking care of my family dogs and guinea pig! I've had my own dog, a cattle dog mix, for the last 5+ years. I've educated myself on training techniques and skills for stimulating dogs physically and mentally in order to keep up with her! I have experience looking after friends' and families' cats and dogs, and I'm a self-appointed playground monitor at my local dog park. I'm excited to meet your furry family member and give them some love and care while you're away. I'm currently applying for engineering / academic jobs after earning my degree, so other than caring for my own dog, my days are wide open. I have a fenced-in backyard and a playful dog who is great with dogs of all sizes. I've got food puzzles, Bully Make and Benebone chew toys, and a ChuckIt tennis ball thrower. My dog is crate-trained so I'm happy to follow your lead on your pets' needs.

About: When I was 5, my first ever chore was feeding the dog because my parents knew it was what I cared about most. That hasn’t changed. I’ve had animals of some sort my entire life and currently have two larger dogs. I’ve used Rover as a pet owner since moving to Pittsburgh and can fully attest to how helpful it has been, which is why I decided to become a sitter I’ve sat for animals with needs for oral and topical medicines and am comfortable handling that. I work from home with a very flexible schedule. I only need a day’s notice to plan transportation. For house sitting, I’m happy to work from that home as well. I’m comfortable with whatever your pet is used to. Fenced yards, leashed walks, and litter boxes are all fine by me. I’m also happy to help reinforce training and routine if needed.

About: I love dogs and grew up with them! Though I don't have the space for them now, I've been missing some puppy playtime! Both of my parents are vets as well, so I'm also pretty well versed in all things pet care! I do work full-time, but a lot of my job can be done from home depending on the amount of notice I have before discussing that with my boss. That being said my weekends are pretty open as well as the occasional monday. I typically work from home every other monday! I love all animals! Growing up I had 2 dogs and then foster failed 2 cats! Those 2 cats currently live with my parents, but I'm bringing them up here when I move into my own place. Both of my roommates also have cats!

Over the years, I've cared for and babysat pets for friends, family, and neighbors, earning their trust through dependable, compassionate care. My experience includes caring for cats and dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, energy levels, and temperaments—from playful puppies and energetic dogs to senior pets who need a little extra patience and attention, as well as independent cats and affectionate lap cats alike. I understand that some pets warm up quickly while others need time to build trust, and I always let them set the pace. Whether it's feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, cleaning litter boxes, or simply providing companionship and comfort while you're away, I treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is to make sure your furry family member feels safe, loved, and well cared for, while giving you peace of mind knowing they're in reliable hands. I work full time out of the home, but can be available to board animals overnight on weekdays for (1) night with a pick up by 7:30 AM the following day and can board or house-visit over the weekend (Drop off Friday after 4PM thru Sundays-pick up by 5 pm Sunday). I can do house visits any week day after 4 PM. I have a fenced in backyard and a very walkable, safe neighborhood. My home is a pet's paradise with lots of comfy couches and plenty of space to run and play, and windows for clocking in for Neighborhood Watch :) I don't mind animals sleeping with me, if they want to! Otherwise, plenty of places for furry ones to nap and snooze whenever they choose.
