“Nia was by far the sweetest sitter I’ve had yet! She was very attentive to my baby and even sent tons of videos and pictures as requested. She took her for walks and ensured she had fresh food and water each day. I would not hesitate to use Nia again for my baby!”

“Another great visit by Jenaya! We truly appreciate her taking great care when watching our fur babies while we are away. Highly recommend those who want to make sure their babies are getting the attention they need while awa :)”

“I (and my cat) enjoyed working with Tandy. Tandy is very communicative, attentive, and clearly expressed a joy, care, and sensitivity working with animals. Though Rover, Tandy minded my cat and fish every other day over the course of two weeks. Tandy’s Reports were detailed and this is something I further appreciated: she wasn’t afraid to ask questions.”

About: Hello! I’m a lifelong animal lover who’s excited to meet and spend time with your pet—whether that’s for walks, playtime, or overnight care. I have experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, from playful puppies to gentle seniors and everything in between. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, happy, and at home. I will take the time to get to know your furry friend’s unique personality and needs to provide a tailored experience full of comfort, fun, and care! Whether your pet loves fetches, belly rubs, or brisk walks, I’m here to give them the attention and affection they deserve as I’d hope for someone caring for my own pet. Looking forward to meeting them! I’m currently working on a flexible schedule so I will have time to accommodate your pet at any time of day! I’d love to make sure your dog is getting attention during your busy week or out-of-town weekend! I love sending photos and daily reports of my visits with your pets. Along with general and attentive care for your furry friend, I will make sure their environment is clean, provide brushing or medication as needed, and be responsive to any questions you may have!

“Melissa is very loving and caring to our puppy hannah, she is detail-oriented with so much patience. She also provided us with so many good training suggestions and always willing to discussion and let us know if we are on the right track. Our girl loves her! Would love to recommend her to everyone.”

About: Previous vet's assistant that loves pets and has the experience to take care of them. I may not be a vet, but I know how to give them their meds, insulin included. I know how to monitor them for emergencies and know the signs for when they need to be taken to the vet. I am knowledgeable in food allergies and follow your strict guidelines when you lay them out, because I have them for my own pet. I also like taking my nephew, my sister's dog, to the dog park so he can enjoy his zoomies. Or if they like to swim, I can take them to the dog beach if you give me permission. If your pet and I mesh when we do our first meet up, then you can know that I'll do my best to have them enjoy their stay with me. I do work part-time at the moment, but my current schedule has me working early shifts that start at around 4am and usually have me home anywhere between 12pm and 3pm. So, I have the rest of the day to do things and my weekends are free. I do not have a yard, but when I walk my dog around the area of my complex there is a lot of grass and I never walk off of leash. If the owner's give me permission, I would take their dog's to dog park's and only have the dog's off leash in permitted, gated areas.

“Pepper has enjoyed her stays with Nasheia and Nina so much that we have made it a weekly thing. With other sitters I would drop pepper off and she would run back to me to pick her up and not want to leave. As soon as Pepper saw Nina she forgot all about me. She comes home happy and tired from all her playing.”

“This was the first time having Cam care for my four dogs that are mommy’s heart. I was put at ease right away by how quickly all of them responded to her. They are a discerning bunch and they warmed to her right away. I appreciated the reports and pictures sent with each visit. I have found my new dog nanny. I won’t hesitate to call on her the next time I need care for them. Thanks again Cam!”

About: I have been a foster parent for many animals through my local human society for several years now. I have had my fair share of cats, dogs, hamsters, and fish throughout my life, including my super senior kitty named Casey who is 19 years young! I work from home on a part time basis while homeschooling my two kids (ages 14 and 11). I have several chunks of time most days where I can drop in care for pets. I am happy to conform to your pet care rules. I will happily walk, feed, give treats, crate, etc. during my time with your pet!

About: What sets me apart? I treat every pet like my own; with patience, attention, and a lot of love and I am reliable, and always focused on your pet's routine and will make sure your fur baby is cozy and will have a lot of cuddle sessions with me because I am a caring and your baby or babies will be in caring and capable hands. Caring for pets isn't a job to me, it's something I enjoy doing. I've been surrounded by lots of beautiful animals all my life and I've always loved it. Animals bring me joy and peace that I have never had and I am someone that gives animals a constant attention, and love so trust me when I tell you that I will care for your baby with so much love. I might not be home every day, but one thing about me is that my home is never empty. I have a brother and a sister who also stay with me and they are both dog and cat lovers as well. You’ll be leaving your baby or babies in the most capable hands of a loving family. You would never to be disappointed in the kind of care I will give to your baby or babies I live in an apartment, and this has taught me how to create a cozy, safe and enriching environment for pets. I will make sure they are relaxed, keep them healthy, play with them as much as they want no matter how tired I am and it has been done, and I'm very mindful of noise so they don't get agitated. Whether it's outside or not, it's never too late for play time or cuddle sessions. Your fur baby will feel right at home with me.

About: I grew up with a bunch of smaller pets, mostly fish and hamsters, and finally convinced my parents to adopt a dog when I was in high school. I moved away from home and miss her dearly, but I’m excited to bring the patience and love of animals I learned with my pets to yours! I’m experienced with shelter animals after volunteering at one for some time and am so excited to meet your pet! I have a 55 pound standard poodle named Roshe that I adopted in 2023, and will need to have a meet and greet before hosting your pet. I work full time, but can work from home 2-3 days a week, and my fiancée works from home all of the time, making it easy for the two of us to care for your pets! I've walked a variety of dogs at my local animal shelter for some time and can handle pets with a variety of needs. I'm pretty active and can get your dog all of the exercises they need while keeping them safe.

About: Thanks for checking out my sitter profile! I've been watching pets across the DC area for nearly 8 years, which includes experience as a walker and housesitter. I'm a dependable animal lover who will make sure your pet is happy and comfortable even while their people are away. I live with my partner in a very dog-friendly house in Landover Hills. While I manage the Rover account, my partner Lou--who is a caring pet parent with animal experience that includes a stint at wolf sanctuary-- also will keep your pet(s) company. We have two pups: the elderly Walden, a pug who sleeps 90% of the day, and Drax, an active mutt who enjoys playing with friends new and old in our yard but also cuddling up for evening snuggles. We have two cats who are friendly with dogs but have access to a dog-free office if any issues arise (so far we've only had adorable introductions as dogs' first cat friends--many nose boops). The house is in a suburban area and has a fenced in, maintained yard where your pup can happily spend their days playing with Drax, rolling in the grass, and sniffing around. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask! I work from home most days of the week; Lou works entirely from home. We often have guest animals in the house, so are used to a daily routine of breakfast and backyards romps after wake-up, multiple breaks throughout business hours, and plenty of play time and dinner in the evenings. We’re happy to incorporate your pet’s usual routine into ours to keep them comfy. I’m attentive to dogs in my care and take pride in ensuring they are comfortable while their owners are away. While with us, your pet will be treated like our own and get plenty of attention, exercise, and care.

“Izzy is my walker and occasional caretaker for my large shephard mix Luke and my wife's micropig, Sam. Izzy and Walden are always welcome in our home and are like family to us. I used to think small dogs were not real dogs, but then I met Walden. He has so much personality and is really very sweet, and it's so clear how loved Walden is. Walden also loves Izzy very much, which I think is the perfect testament to how wonderful a caretaker he is.”
