“Mikayla took such great care of Athena and Enzo while we were away. It was obvious they were well loved and got plenty of playtime 😃. She sent lots of pictures and videos throughout our trip, which made being away from them so much easier. She was easy to communicate with, always kept us updated, and went above and beyond by feeding our fish and even checking on our butterflies. We came home to happy dogs and a home that was just as we left it. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. We’re so thankful we found Mikayla and will absolutely use her again. Highly recommend!”

“Tyler took wonderful care of Dusty and Daisy. They took to him immediately and it was obvious that he gave them a lot of attention. He is punctual, polite, and a very caring young man. We will be rebooking with him again in the near future. Thanks again Tyler.”

“Elizabeth was great! We recently got a new puppy and needed a dog watcher last minute and we found Elizabeth. She was very responsive and great with our dogs. We would definitely use her again and I recommend her for anyone looking for a dog sitter in this area!”

“Alaina was wonderful! She stayed with our pack and watched our home over the weekend. She was communicative, kind, and clean. And our pups loved her! Thank you for giving us peace of mind while away. We would absolutely love to use your services in the future.”

“Ella was amazing. She took my booking last minute and responded quickly. Ella showed up on time and seemed eager to meet our boys. You can tell Ella genuinely loves animals. Ella made us feel comfortable leaving the boys behind in her care. We came home to happy kids and the house just the way we left it. Ella kept in contact during her stay and sent us pictures and updates often. I would definitely book Ella again! Highly recommended!”

“Julia did a great job! We were away for 5 days, and our dogs were happy and well fed when we returned. The house was cleaned and she checked in with pictures to let us know that everything was going well.”

“Polly was absolutely fantastic. She sent us photos and notes everyday which really helped our anxiety leaving him. When we came home we new right away that Chester loved her. She played with him, gave him his medicine, and even bought him a few toys. Exceptional care. This is the first time we used Rover and wish I had found out about it before! We hate leaving him behind when we travel, but knowing that we now have Polly to rely on, it makes is so much better. My only concern is now everyone will want to book her and then she is not available for us. We could not have asked for better care for our gentle giant.”

“Roxy had a wonderful time with Jillian, Rox is a rescue puppy we adopted just 4 months ago so we were concerned about leaving her so soon but she did very well. Hardly missed us. lol. Jillian kept us updated we had great communication. We will definitely hire her again. Such good care. Thanks Jillian .”

“Anissa is amazing! Very reliable and made things so easy for us. It had been years since someone other than family watched our dogs, but Anissa quickly put all anxiety at ease. Our fur babies and home were very well cared for while we were away.”

About: Hi! I'm the type of dog lover that will roll down my window and say things like, "Awww look at that good, sweet pup. You're such a good dog." if I see a dog with its head out the window. 🤣 I see a dog out walking, I have to meet it. Go to a dog shelter? I'm no longer allowed there - I want to bring them all home! Anyways, I absolutely adore dogs and know that they are family members who deserve love, time and proper care! My husband and I have 4 dogs that we love to run around in the backyard with and take for walks! We have a Bichon named Buddy who is 13, a St Bernard Mix named Sadie who is 11, a mini aussie named Kali who is 10, and another mini Aussie mix named Nora who is 3. They are the best of friends and the greatest companions through the highs and lows of life. I've also pet sat for friends and family over the years, including caring for cows! I am an animal lover, but dogs hold the largest piece of my heart. I would absolutely love to come and walk/play with your fur baby! My schedule is completely flexible! I'm here to make sure everything runs on your schedule! I'm currently working part time from home and create my own schedule. I run my own business and will always put your schedule and your pups first! Monday-Friday are absolutely free from 9am-5pm with nights available occasionally during the school year. Nights available now, until Aug 31st. I do not offer in home boarding at this time unless it is a small puppy. With 4 dogs and 2 kids, we have a full house already! I will stay at your house overnight if needed! Within your home, I care for your pets exactly how you ask + lots of extra love and pets and cuddles. Showing up when you need me to and staying the length of time you need is very important to me as I know it is for you and your pets as well. Their well-being and happiness will always be at the forefront.

About: I have 5 dogs of my own, ranging from a cattle dog to a pitbull.I have no problem taking care of any type of animal and I have experience in all fields of care, including bathing, walking, nail-trimming, and more. I’m free from 6am-11pm on weekdays! I do work full-time but my boss is lenient and he’d have no problem with me tending to your furry friends! I personally have 5 dogs in a non-fenced in yard but they are all very well trained. I would prefer to keep your animals in the comfort of their own home though due to my dogs being very playful, if your dogs are comfortable being in a high-energy setting it would be no problem but they don’t need added stress from my rowdy bunch.
“Amie was an incredible dog sitter for Cinnamon. From the moment I left for vacation, I had zero worries knowing Cinnamon was in such good hands. She got plenty of attention and treats, and Amie even went above and beyond by giving her a bath after she got into something sticky outside. When I returned home, not only was Cinnamon happy and well cared for, but my house was beautifully clean as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely trust Amie again in the future.”

About: I love animals! I have a 7 year old dog whose name is Winnie, a 5 year old dog named Winston. And a cat! . I’ve been watching dogs and cats since I was 10 years old! I love going on walks, hikes, going to dog parks, and spending time with any animal companion. You’re welcome to ask questions you feel are relevant! I will give out my cell phone number so you’re able to check in on your fur baby and I’ll send as many photos as you would like! I also work from home all day everyday so I’ll be here with your fur babies all day and I’m able to leave at anytime to take them to appointments if needed! I will also have Winnie all day. If that’s not okay please let me know and I can take her doggy day care!

About: I have taken care of puppies and big dogs. I have trained puppies and older dogs. I love to walk with dogs. I have also done potty training. I am a stay at home mom who loves animals and would like something to do during the summer with my kids. I can do it at any time I have a short yard that my dog runs in all the time. We go outside everyday and try to spend as much time in the sun. We love walks and going swimming.
“It was a pleasure to have Alyssa in our home. Her availability was exactly what we needed for our older dog and her communication with us was great! Our dog was well cared for and our home was clean when we arrived back home. Will definitely book her again for future trips!”

About: Hi! I’m Jeff I currently have 8yo black/white male Husky named Thorik and a 5yo red/white female Husky named Willow. Willow is actually my sisters dog and stays with her, but her and Thorik are together every day out at our family’s place. They are both well balanced dogs and will get along with anyone who decides to come for a visit. They will kiss you to death though so be prepared! I live on my family’s 180 acre old farm in the country just outside of the Otsego/Alamo area. I am out there every single day, especially in the Summer months, so that Thorik has a safe place to play and swim if he wants. Should you decide to book with me, and with your permission, your pets can enjoy unlimited fenced in yard time along with as much swimming as they’d like! I currently work for a Petcare provider here in Kalamazoo. My week consist of multiple visits for multiple clients a day, this does however allow me plenty of time throughout the day to return home and take care of anything I need to, your pets included! Out at the farm I do have a fenced in backyard away from the road that provides the dogs, a safe, secure place to play. Any time the dogs are not outside playing, or they are at my apartment in the evenings, they are inside the house with me free to do as they please.
“Tim was fantastic! Not only were my 2 vivacious pups well taken care of and happy, he went above and beyond. We returned to a sparkling clean home and many home repairs were completed. You can rest assured your home and babies will be in good hands with Tim! We have no reservations when recommending Tim.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 1,043 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Watson. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Watson walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Watson maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Watson choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Watson. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
