“My pups enjoy their daily visits from Chen for a midday exercise and potty breaks! This dog mom is happy as well knowing that they are being cared for and getting belly rubs even when I’m not there. Chen makes sure to send me updates with a cute pic and some notes on how the visit went! Thank you Chen, we couldn’t be more pleased with your services!”
About: I’ve owned dogs for the past 10 years. I helped raise my family’s dog and then got a puppy of my own at the end of 2023! I’m a very active person and absolutely love walking and running. Whether you've got an energetic dog that needs a lot of exercise or a relaxed dog (or cat!) that enjoys a chill stroll, I'm ready for it! My schedule during the day is very open right now, looking to fill it with lots of walks and games of fetch! My weekends and evenings tend to be a bit busier, but I can accommodate special requests if you let me know in advance! I’m happy to provide what ever care your dog needs in your home. Whether that is walks or simple play and pet time, I’m happy to be there.
About: I’ve always been the go to, reliable and trustworthy person to help care for my friends and family’s’ animals. I care for my own dog Izzy as well as three other animals in my house! I currently am working part time as a server so my schedule is open to helping others! I’m very flexible and have my own car! I have two dogs and two cats I care for in my home, we also have two crates for the dogs if needed. I also have a fenced in yard!
“Tori was awesome! She took great care of my cats during the drop-in visits and kept me updated with photos and notes. Everything was clean and my cats were happy as could be when I got home. Highly recommend!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover & I’m so happy that I chose Amanda. First of all, it was a last minute request and she was kind enough to squeeze us in. She took such good care of Peggie & sent the most adorable picture of Peggie. I cannot thank Amanda enough and I will definitely have Amanda watch Peggie every chance I could!”

About: I've taken care of dogs all my life, including as puppies. I am a recently retired pediatrician, therefore my schedule is flexible. I enjoy walking dogs and I am able to administer medications if needed. I am recently retired, so taking care of pets fits into my busy schedule of pizza making, knitting, and reading fiction. I'm typically available during daytime hours. I am not currently boarding in my home, but I'm an experienced walker who will always consider your pet's behavior and comfort around other animals.

About: Hi! My name is Dante and I absolutely love dogs. I do not treat this as a job but as a privilege to take care of pets. I have always had a pet in my household, so I am very comfortable with dogs. I am young and promise I will have just as much energy as your dog does. I am very good at butt scratches and belly rubs. I will be prepared for any situation and I am very easy to contact. I understand plans get altered and I am flexible with changing schedules. I will treat your dog as I treat mine and make sure everything is done to the best of my ability. I hope you allow me to make your dog’s day the absolute best I can. Thank you

About: I can take any type of animals!! Crazy, big, small, etc. I love em all. I’m very outgoing with them! And love playing and going on walks and talking to the animals!! My mom worked on Rover for a few years and I always helped out when her clients wanted her care but she wasn’t available. We had dogs stay at our house and it was just as fun for me as it was for them! My mom helped me realize this type of job and without a doubt I would love to do what she did! I am currently a student at Widener University. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I go to class 9 am to 10:50 am and I have another class from 1pm to 1:50pm. Mondays I am blocked off from 2pm to 4pm unfortunately. Tuesdays and Thursdays I have a class at 9:30 to 10:50. For Tuesdays I go into the office 12-6pm but can always do a stop in before then! And Thursdays I have a later lecture from 6pm to 8pm. With my school schedule I have no problem making times work during the weekday! Weekends I basically have open availability. I have them in my view at all times!! I have good communications with dogs and make sure their needs are met by their body language.
“This was our first time working with Raquel, and it went very well. She stopped by to spend an hour with our two dogs, Tate and Penny, well also feeding them and giving them lots of love. Raquel was very good communicator, was on time, and provided photographs of her time with our dogs. We are really excited that we found Raquel and look forward to having her spend more time with our dogs, Tate and Penny in the future. If anyone’s looking for a five star Pet Sitter on Rover Raquel‘s your gal!”

About: I’ve grown up with cats my whole life and have been a lover of all animals since I was very young. Friends, family and neighbors always rely on me to take care of their pets when they go on vacations or for daily walks! I am currently a graduate student who has a flexible schedule which allows me to be able to spend my free time caring and playing for your pets! I will not be offering pet care in my home due to having two cats already. My one cat is very shy and does not like new people or animals around so I wouldn’t want to stress her out!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waterville
We have used Barbara 3 times and every time she is extremely reliable and professional. She communicates every step of the way and even brings puzzles and other toys like a flirt pole for our puppy to play with. Would definitely recommend her to others in need of drop in visits etc.

Sophia was amazing and took such good care of our puppies. It was the first time we left them and we were nervous but she made us feel very calm knowing they were on great hands. Sophia played with our pups and spent time with each of them. We highly recommend her!

Another wonderful experience with Anne Marie! Our kitties love her - they hide for other people, but routinely greet her at the door when she visits, sit with her, and get pets! We always appreciate the updates and photos, and just all-around kindness Anne Marie provides. She truly gives us peace of mind when we're away, knowing that our cats are well cared for. 💜

Kai & Devon are great - would highly recommend to anyone in the area in need of a sitter. Took great care of our crazy cat while we were out of town - the Rover Cards they shared always had some great pictures and a funny little note about what new craziness our cat was up to that day.

I can’t say enough great things about Sara! She is so very considerate and plays so well with my cat, she totally tires him out when she’s here! :) Very thoughtful too!!! I highly recommend her! She goes above and beyond by being so helpful! She is truly the best!

Naomi has been so supportive related to our needs for a kitty caregiver. She visited with our two Siamese cats who can be a bit anti-social and picky eaters. They were so calm when I returned - relaxed and not anxious. She cared for all their food and personal needs - always checking in and keeping our family up to date! Thank you!!
Carol did a wonderful job caring for our cats. She was prompt, thorough, and very responsive throughout our time away. We especially appreciated how well she kept us updated with photos and regular check-ins. We felt confident knowing our cats were in great hands and would definitely recommend her!

On Rover, sitters set their own rates based on factors such as their experience, the length of care, the number of pets, and your pet’s specific needs. You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
