“Bear and Bailee had another GREAT 😊 stay with Julianna!!! They were with her for 4 nights and she took really good care of them. I felt entirely comfortable leaving them with her! My pups can be a bit clingy at time and my Bear-Bear can be a little moody and he had a great time with her mom 😊. I am so grateful to have found Julianna. ♥️”

“Luna had a great time on her overnight stay. She got playtime inside and out and plenty of attention. Emily and Christine really love dogs, and treated her so well!”

“Lori watched our dog, Bebe, while we were away on vacation and she did a wonderful job. Bebe can take a bit to warm up to someone new, and Lori did a great job quickly earning her trust! She lives in a quiet area with a fenced-in yard, which was perfect for allowing Bebe to relax. She also sent daily updates with great photos!”

“Our cat loves staying with Khai. It’s the first time our cat leaves home and we were very worried. But Khai took really good care of our cat and we started to worry whether he still wanna come back lol. Great experience and we highly recommend Khai!”

“It was our first time leaving Creamy with non-family members over night. And we needed to leave her for 8 days! We were naturally a bit nervous, but our worries were unfounded. Kate and her husband took care of Creamy so well. Every time Kate sent us pictures and messages, we felt Creamy was getting more and more comfortable being there. We will definitely leave Creamy with Kate again for our next trip!”

About: I love all animals, but dogs are my favorite. Nothing in the world makes me happier than spending time with a pet. If the owner can't be around once in a while there is no need for the dog to be lonely. That is why I make the perfect dog sitter, I treat each dog like my very own pet. I care for them and their individual needs the way I would hope someone would care for my dog if I weren't around. My profession includes making my own schedule which allows me the flexibility to care for pets in their owners absence. I try to keep my radius small so that I can stop by every couple of hours for a potty break and some time outside or for some snuggles. I have a dog and cat of my own and take their care very seriously. Both get an abundance of love and snuggles. Our dog goes out multiple times a day- while we don't have a fenced in yard we do have a lot of space and availability for walks at the park a block away.
“Loved her! She kept me up to date daily with a photo, video, or comments regarding my dog, Sadie. She was attentive to any concerns I had in the beginning as my dog has food allergies, and she assured me she would follow my instructions regarding her care completely. I will be using her again!”

“Christopher is the best! He takes such great care of my dog Tofu when she stays with him. And he always sends so many updates and cute pictures of their time together!”

“Beth is an excellent dog host! Indiana was treated like a movie star and even went with Ottis to the dog park as an outing. I was updated several times a day with photos and a video. I have been using Rover.com for quite a while. You get to know when your dog has been at ease during the stay. I can say that Indiana came home very happy and enjoyed his stay. Beth is a great sitter and I highly recommend her!!!”

“Yuiko was great with Maya and provided regular updates that gave me peace of mind that she was doing ok. Yuiko has a big backyard that Maya enjoyed and had other dogs around routinely for her to play with. I definitely hope to have Yuiko watch Maya again in the future. Thank you!”

“Sarah - and her entire family took tremendous care of our dog (thank you). In fact - he was very disappointed to be leaving. We hope he will return again to their care. Thank you Sarah …. 5 Stars - only because there are no more to give.”

Lori watched our dog, Bebe, while we were away on vacation and she did a wonderful job. Bebe can take a bit to warm up to someone new, and Lori did a great job quickly earning her trust! This is my first experience with Juliana and she was fantastic! My dog legs takes medication and she was able to follow the instructions very efficiently! She understood he had high anxiety. He was so comfortable staying with her and looks forward to staying with her again in the future! I love my experience with her and look forward to future stays with my fur baby.

I had a wonderful experience with Michelle F. as Sasha’s sitter. She was extremely communicative, sending regular updates and photos that really put my mind at ease. She kept her home clean and tidy, respected my schedule, and was very flexible and accommodating. Most importantly, she took great care of Sasha and made sure she was comfortable and well cared for throughout her two-day stay. I would absolutely trust Michelle again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, responsible, and caring pet sitter!

Paloma was fantastic and her family is wonderful. She arranged a meet and greet for her big fluff of a dog and my tiny dachshund. They got along great. My dog was happy and comfortable and relaxed when I picked him up. He had a great time emptying their toy box! I will book again.

Sarah was amazing! She was incredibly accommodating with our last minute booking and made the whole experience so easy. Our boy had the best time playing with her dog, Kobe! Sarah kept us updated throughout his stay and sent lots of pictures, which we really appreciated. He came home happy, well cared for, and completely worn out from all the playing and excitement! We would absolutely recommend Sarah and would happily book with her again.

It was my first time having to leave my dog, Max, with someone he did not know, and meeting Laura before going on my trip was very helpful. I felt very comfortable leaving him with her. She keeps you updated and answers questions promptly. Laura sent pictures and videos to show how Max was doing, which I really appreciated. If I need a sitter again I will definitely bring Max back to Laura, and I know he'll feel comfortable, and I will feel better about leaving him.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Waterville home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Waterville.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Waterville sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
