About: I have had pets my whole life and have been pet sitting for the past five years. I have come to know these pets that I have watched as family members, but have since moved back to California! I have experience with cats and dogs, both my own, and other people that I have watched as well as a few bunnies and even some rats! I am happy to help with cleaning around the house or small gardening activities if necessary during longer trips or anything else that might be necessary for someone to have a comfortable vacation! I hope I can be your go to pet sitter for years to come! I just moved back to the area so I have a part-time job at a winery till about 6 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, but can work around that (just ask!) or any other day of the week! I love making pets feel comfortable and sticking to their given routine. I feel that when the parents are out of town, it can be stressful so keeping things as normal as possible is incredibly important! It’s great to go on walks for dogs and just to have some time lounging around for cats playing with one of their toys. I have experience with mildly aggressive or reactive dogs and semi feral cats and know some tips and tricks to make them feel more comfortable and less scared upon meeting me for the first time.

About: I’ve always been passionate about dogs, and caring for them feels more like joy than work. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or making sure meals and routines are on track, I treat every pup like they’re my own. I know how important it is to trust the person looking after your furry family member, so I focus on keeping them safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. From energetic puppies to senior snugglers, I adapt to each dog’s personality and needs. My goal is to give pet parents peace of mind — because your dog deserves more than just care, they deserve genuine attention and affection. I do live on a secluded piece of land with 60+ acres ideal for your pup to stay if needed! We have hiking trails throughout the property and a porch to soak up some rays! I have most weekends off and one day a week I work from home. I can also drop in for evening care when needed ! I have experience with reactive dogs so I’m highly aware of all situations. I’m alert so I can keep your dog safe as well as myself.

About: Hi there! My name is Clay and my Frenchie’s name is Vana. I am a work from home professional and dog sitter with years of experience caring for all types of pups. I am a huge animal lover and have always had a soft spot for dogs. In fact, I currently have a furry four-legged friend of my own who brings so much joy to my life. I understand that leaving your dog in the care of someone else can be stressful, which is why I go above and beyond to make sure your pooch is well taken care of while you're away. I am reliable, responsible, and will always put the needs of your dog first. When it comes to dog sitting, I offer a range of services including overnight stays, day care, and drop-in visits. I am comfortable with administering medication if needed. I am available for bookings on weekends and holidays and am happy to work with you to create a customized care plan that fits the needs of your dog. If you're looking for a loving and attentive dog sitter, I would be more than happy to care for your furry friend. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or to book my services. I look forward to meeting you and your dog! As someone who works from home, pet care fits seamlessly into my daily and weekly routine. I am able to take breaks throughout the day to attend to the needs of the pets in my care, such as providing food and water, taking them for walks, and giving them the love and attention they need. I also make sure to set aside dedicated time for pet care in my schedule. For example, if I am providing overnight stays for a pet, I will plan my work around their needs to ensure they are well taken care of. Overall, pet care is an important and enjoyable part of my daily and weekly routine, and I am dedicated to providing the best care possible to the animals in my care. When caring for pets in my own home, I make sure to create a comfortable and safe environment for them. This includes providing plenty of fresh water, a clean and cozy place to sleep, and any necessary toys or other amenities. I also make sure to keep a close eye on the pet to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or issues that may arise. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I follow any specific care instructions provided by the pet owner and make sure to keep the home clean and tidy while the pet is in my care. I also keep a close eye on the pet to ensure their well-being and address any concerns or issues that may arise. Additionally, I am happy to follow any routines or schedules the pet is used to, such as feeding and walk times, to help make their time away from their owner as stress-free as possible.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 1,191 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Waterboro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Waterboro. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Waterboro.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Waterboro. On Rover:

  • 98% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 99% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
