When I was younger, I dog sat for a few neighbors including a poodle, golden retriever, and the sweetest golden mix. My husband and I adopted our own dog last year and we spoil him to pieces! About: I’ve been a loving parent to both cats and dogs for 25 years. I love animals and am happy to accommodate walk schedules, medications, injections, and of course, lots of playtime and scritches! My pup and I do pretty much whatever we want, whenever we want. I have a flexible work schedule and am often at home, so can accommodate desired potty break and walk times, medications, preferred activities (beach, dog park, hanging out at the house.) My pup is always ready for company and activity, but knows when it’s time to relax. I live in a private house set far back from the street, with a large, well kept (but unfenced) 1.5 acre yard. My dog, Pepper, is an extremely social, playful, but chill and well-behaved 5yr old neutered Jack Russell mix. He loves playtime with other dogs, but is respectful of the quieter styles of older dogs or dogs just needing rest. I have a comfy crate suitable for small to medium dogs (if you crate), lots of toys, and lots of time to engage with your sweetie. The area surrounding my home is safe and quiet, with many options for woodland walks. I live near dog-friendly beaches and the Saco river, so splashing is an option, too! If your dog has good recall, I can provide off-leash time in the 1.5 acre yard. I have a front porch with a protective gate to keep the sunbathers from getting out, and lots of space for indoor play time and resting as well.

Cassidy and Cody were so laid back, relaxed and flexible when it came times and days we needed care for Fern. Fern was nervous at first meeting and staying with new friends Gus, (their dog) and their 2 children, but she was wagging her tail and so excited to go back to their house the following day! Fern got extra walks, and even went to the beach with them! We felt very comfortable leaving our baby In their care! About: I have always had dogs but am currently without one after my 16-year-old golden retriever passed away. I am comfortable working with dogs of all ages, and understand how their needs, routines and personalities change throughout their lives. I live in a quiet community with beach access a short walk away. If you have a pup that loves to swim, go on adventures or walks, or simply spend time outside, I would be a great fit. While your away, you can be sure they too are enjoying a mini vacation. I can work from home so your dog will not be lonely during the day. There are some days I may not be home all day, but I will be sure to give them plenty of exercise with time to run, play or swim in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I also have a life jacket for those dogs who are not strong swimmers or who may want a little extra support in the water. I've not crated any of my dogs, but if you are more comfortable with crating, I can accommodate that if you bring yours. I do not have a fenced in yard, but I do have a small side yard, access to trails and a beach so they will get plenty of time outside.

About: I have had pets my whole life and have been pet sitting for the past five years. I have come to know these pets that I have watched as family members, but have since moved back to California! I have experience with cats and dogs, both my own, and other people that I have watched as well as a few bunnies and even some rats! We were bringing Bolt to a boarding place nearby but would always feel very on edge and worrying while on vacation. He would come home from the boarding place and his elbows were very rough and red and he would be so thirsty. I picked him up from Connor and he was fine, like he never left home. He was a little tired but that’s to be expected going to a new place. Connor’s house was clean and she has a very nice yard and large covered porch she sat under with him. She was easy to communicate with and flexible. As soon as I met her and she met my dog, I knew we were going to be good! I plan to bring him to her again soon and will continue to for as long as I can!”
“Our energetic Maddie had a great stay with Tony. We always try to board her with people that have other dogs so she can play and make friends. Tony had her alone, but still managed to get her walking and running off leash in a fenced in yard and kept her happy. He was very good about reaching out and sending pictures during her stay which is very reassuring. Not enough Rover people do that! Tony is highly recommended!”

I would absolutely without hesitation use them again if we’re in town.”
