“First time using a pet sitter and I’m feel lucky to have used Sydney the first time. I was very nervous leading up to it, and gave Sydney a detailed list of what to do while stopping in. Not only did she follow everything perfectly, she kept me updated and at peace. Professional, easy to work with, and top tier care for my kitties. Thank you Sydney (:”

“We couldn’t be more grateful for Abby and the amazing care she gave our dogs while we were away! She went above and beyond, especially with our little Millie, who can be very anxious in new situations. Abby was so gentle, patient, and loving, Millie warmed up to her quickly, which says everything. It gave us such peace of mind knowing our pups were in such kind and capable hands. We came home to happy, relaxed dogs and could tell they had been truly loved while we were gone. Highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs all sizes, worked in the dog industry for 5 years in kennel tech and hospitality. Grown up with dogs all my life and have fostered puppies over the last couple of years I currently WFH and can aid in the general surrounding area. I’m pretty flexible to care for your pets as desired and will send lots of pictures! I have a fenced yard and plenty of toys for your pet. I can have your animal(s) my primary focus! Since I WFH I can provide frequent trips to the backyard

About: Since I was a child I love dogs, I have taken them off the street and I have taken care of them and given some of them up for adoption. on wednesday and thursday they will walk in the morning and they will walk in a lake, they will be on the terrace for a little while and they will go to the dog park at sunset I have a balcony with a bed outside where the sun does not shine and two very playful dogs with many toys, they adapt with other dogs

About: I've raised a dog from puppy to senior dog, cared for various friends' dogs throughout their life cycles (ranging from senior, semi-blind beagles to a schnauzer that would pee from excitement while getting pet) and even managed a staged show at a theme park that had dozens of animals running around At the time, I'm working from home and always available to care for a pet that needs it. Minimal travel planned, and no real reasons I can't give attention to any dog. In my house, the dog is either inside with me, or outside with me (potentially enjoying my fenced in back yard). I don't like to leave dogs (especially new-to-me dogs) outside without me there. And it's never good to let the trouble maker pups out of your sight for TOO long.

About: Since 3rd grade I’ve wanted to be a vet and have a farm with all the animals I could find…. I’m not a vet but I have kids and pets so I’m pretty close to my dream. I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and ages. Including the elder pets who need extra gentle love and care. I currently have an open schedule. Weekend or weekday care is just fine. Let me know what you need and we can work it into my schedule. I have a large fenced yard and I have a large crate indoors for my dog in case if your pet is against dogs/cats. If your pet is friendly to other animals, I introduce them while mine is crated for their safety.

About: Please give me a chance to care for your pet. I’m new to Rover and trying to build a clientele. I know you won’t be disappointed in my service. I've had a dog almost my entire life. As an adult I have had three dogs; each one was an Airedale Terrier (each lived to be approximately 12 years old). I have fostered two Airedale Terriers in my home. I love dogs and enjoy walks with dogs. I believe all dogs need adequate love, attention, and exercise just like we do. I believe pets make us better humans. : ) I will give your pet attentive care while you are away. My professional emphasis is in Kinesiology, the study of movement. Therefore, I realize the benefits of every day exercise; I believe the same holds true for our dogs. I am available mid-morning through mid-afternoon Sunday through Thursday. I am looking for a part-time job with a flexible schedule. I am into fitness, so an extra walk or two a day will be welcome. Additionally, I am available for drop-in visits if you want someone to check on your pets while you are away. I will give your pet the care he/she needs while you are away. I understand that a dog is a family member. I treat a dog as if they are a child. They need attention, love, and exercise every day. They appreciate a routine. I will treat your dog with the same care that I would give to my own. I will give your pet the attention and care they need while you are away.

About: I’ve been a cat person for about 10 years now, and my love for animals just keeps getting stronger. Over the years, I’ve also had the chance to dog sit for friends, family, and others. Each experience has been different and so much fun. Whether it’s cats, dogs, or anything in between, I absolutely love taking care of animals and giving them the love, attention, and comfort they deserve. I’m currently on summer break, so I’m totally flexible and can come whenever you need me! but I’ll be in college mid august ! :) My top priority is ensuring pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable, whether at home or in a client’s. At home, I create a calm and clean environment, provide ample playtime, and offer plenty of affection. I maintain a consistent routine. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow their pet’s usual routine. I follow any instructions. I keep pet parents informed through updates and photos. I treat every animal as my own and enjoy building trust.

“Ada is awesome!! I have a super anxious dog and a hyper puppy. Ada was great with both for drop in visits. I liked how she sent me pictures and videos. Her notes also were detailed. It made me feel less worried about leaving my dogs behind. I would definitely use her again!!”

“Emma is FANTASTIC! I received a lot of photos and videos which made being away from dogs a lot easier. Emma is so caring with my animals and is the only dog sitter we will be using.”

“First time Rover user here! Charissa put us right at ease leaving our senior dog overnight. She sent updates and pictures. Absolutely wonderful! We will definitely rebook Charissa in the future, if she will have us. :)”

“Everything went so smooth with Claire & Sherri! This was my first time using Rover & will definitely use Rover & especially Claire again! I loved getting all the pictures!”

“Claudia is AMAZING! She is very responsive and while taking care of my cat she kept me well informed along with photos. I am so glad I found her on Rover. She has my highest recommendation!”

“Very helpful!! Needed someone to watch our pups last minute and she was eager to help! Also very patient when having an issue with getting into the apartment! Dogs also seemed well taken care of!”

“You can’t fully understand how relieved we were to find Jennifer on Rover! We had been looking and asking friends and family for weeks about helping look in on Cookie but NOBODY was willing to step in. Especially because of the holidays and the driving distance. We felt defeated and thought about caving in on boarding him somewhere. We knew Cookie wouldn’t have enjoyed that at all. We wanted someone to actually take their time with Cookie and care for him without the added stress of a new environment and strange dogs all around. And with his underlying condition, we didn’t want to risk it. It wasn’t until my mother let us know about this app and we stumbled upon Jennifer’s page with endless amounts of photos of all of these adorable pets. That, to us, was the biggest green flag. She definitely loves animals! Now, our dog doesn’t do well in new places or meeting new people. So Jennifer was kind to schedule a meeting into her schedule so that Cookie got the chance to warm up to her before seeing her randomly come into his home while we’re gone. Upon meeting Jennifer and her partner, he took to them a lot faster than we could have pictured. Jennifer was very attentive, patient and kind to the needs of our Cookie. They also gave him plenty of play time and couch parties! Every picture we received of Cookie while on vacation, he showed this huuuuge dorky smile that melted our hearts. He LOVED them! I would trust Jennifer anytime with Cookie. She’s communicative and caring. Always said she enjoyed the time with Cookie but I’m sure Cookie enjoyed her company farrr more. I don’t plan on using anyone else. I’d rather use Jennifer’s reliable services than look elsewhere. It would seem unfair to Cookie to introduce new faces or even let a family member drop in just to do the bare minimum. Thank you, guys! You’ve saved us (and Cookie) so much stress. 🩵”

Watauga dog parents share their Rover experiences
Susan was great with our dogs and very accommodating with our requests. She was helpful beyond what was required and so easy to work with and we felt very comfortable leaving our pets in her care. She was thoughtful and kind when it came to our dogs individual quirks and communication was always top notch. Would be happy to use her again anytime!

Charissa is the BEST! We have booked multiple times with her. We have a nervous dog that can be aggressive and leary of people but she has a way with him and he has been great with her from the start and so have our three cats. We feel so lucky to have found her and always feel comfortable leaving, knowing they are in such good hands!

Kaitlin and Tai’ did a fantastic job taking care of our sweetie, Stella the golden retriever. They bonded extremely well with her from the first meeting and the daily reports and photos showed the bond progressed and we felt very comfortable and reassured that she was receiving excellent care. They went above and beyond the necessities and we feel like we could not have had a better experience. Stella was very happy when we came home and seemed to have had a bit of an enjoyable vacation herself. We can strongly recommend them as very kind and capable sitters for your pets!!! David and Nancy.
