2. Robert S.
“I recently had the pleasure of entrusting my beloved furry friend to Robert and I couldn't be happier with the exceptional care and service he provided. Robert is truly a dog lover! From the moment I reached out to Robert on Rover.com, his professionalism and prompt communication stood out. He was quick to respond to my inquiries, and we were able to schedule a meet-and-greet to ensure a good fit for my dog's needs and personality. I appreciated his attention to detail and the genuine interest he showed in getting to know my dog's habits, preferences, and any specific instructions. Robert provided a safe and comfortable environment for my furry companion, treating my dog as if they were their own. Regular updates, including photos and videos, were sent to me, allowing me to see that my dog was happy and content while in their care. This level of communication brought peace of mind, especially when I had to be away from my pup for an extended period. He made sure my dog received plenty of exercise. I would highly recommend them to any pet owner seeking a reliable and caring dog sitter and I will definitely be reaching out to Robert for any future dog-sitting needs!”

4. Rachel L.
About: I love all animals! My retirement dream is to spend my days with dogs and cats. I decided why wait! I have cared for dogs and cats for over 30 years. I have always had my own pets, but I have also cared for friends, family, and neighbor's pets over the years as well. During the week and the school year I work with children. There is nothing I love more than coming home from a busy day and spending time with animals. During the day I have time over lunch for dog walks or pet care. After school hours, weekends, and summers are free to spend time with pets. In my home I have a lot of area for pets to roam and lounge around. I have a fenced yard and I enjoy walking the trails around my house with dogs. In your home I will follow your expectations for your pet. I will talk to them, play with them, and give them lots of love.

6. Meg R.
About: I’ve had pets my entire life! I grew up with 3 dogs and 3 cats. As an adult, I have my own baby girl, Iris. My cat is definitely my baby so I will take care of yours like they are my own. I’m a full time student! I have plenty of time between classes or if you need an overnight stay! Fur babies are a great distraction from school! I always walk dogs on a leash, and I make sure both cats and dogs have clean water and plenty of food! If necessary, I will make sure cats have clean litter boxes.
7. Fawn B.
“Fawn was wonderful with our pups. She spent extra time with our younger dog that has more energy than our senior dog. Will definitely use her again.”
8. Ariel & Patrick J.

9. Kate L.
About: Hi, I’m Kate! I recently graduated from the University of Iowa (go hawks!) and am now pursuing my masters degree in counseling. Typically I start my days around 8am and end them close to 11pm, but of course I’m very flexible and would be more than happy to adjust to your needs. I have grown up with dogs and have dog sat for numerous friends and family in the area. Currently my family has two golden retrievers, one being only 7 months old, so I’m used to the puppy stage! I understand that each dog has its own individual needs despite breed, age, etc. and am excited to cater to and get to know your dog(s)! I am currently working part-time with a set schedule of going in on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, for a maximum timeframe of 8am-4:30pm with an hour lunch break starting at noon, however lately I have only been working either the morning or afternoon portion of the day. On Wednesday evenings I have class for my graduate program from 5pm to 9pm with a few short breaks here and there - these classes are via Zoom so if I am dog sitting I’ll be at your house during this time! With every new client I like to visit your house and meet your dog(s) before services, this way we can be comfortable with each other and your pets can become familiarized with me before I interact with them on my own. During this initial meeting, I’ll be sure to ask all of the necessary questions related to the service I am proving to ensure I am meeting your needs and expectations.
10. Sidney R.
“Sidney was fantastic with my dog. Super easy to communicate with and has been very flexible. Recommend without hesitation!”
11. Halle K.
“Halle loves dogs, which is evident by the care she provides them! She is dependable and will care for your dog as if it were her own! She’s always been very attentive to the needs of our pets by knowing when they need to go potty or when they need some exercise. She loves to take our dogs on long walks, which we appreciate because they have lots of energy! If you hire Halle as your pet caregiver, I promise you that she will give them the best care possible! You will be leaving your pet in good hands!”
12. Jenna B.
“Jenna is such a great person and absolutely loves animals. If you’re looking for someone to look after your pets as their own, look no further. Her dogs are so friendly and well mannered and my pups always enjoy their visit. I’m so thankful for Jenna and the care she provides my two dogs.”
13. Nazma N.
“Nazma is a responsible young lady and she loves animals. She has taken care of my pomeranian and 2 persian cats. They simply love her and will circle around her when she visits. You can be sure that your pet is well taken care of when Nazma is on the clock :)”
14. Christian D.
About: Hi, my name is Christian! I’m a medical student at the University of Iowa and recently moved to the area from New Mexico. Back home I’m a dad to two playful Akitas and a plethora of other farm animals who instilled in me a love for furry friends at a young age, and here in Iowa I live with a cute Cane Corso mix and two furry kitties. I previously worked as a Vet Tech at an animal hospital for about two years and gained a ton of experiences with animals of all ages, breeds, conditions and demeanors. I’m very active and well versed in interacting with dogs and cats alike, and will even take your dog on runs with me if you’d like! I’m currently going to school full time but have a fairly flexible schedule due to the nature of online and hybrid classes. During week days, I’m available for walks, runs, daily care and periodic check-ins with your animals. During the weekend I have more availability and can work with you to accommodate your needs. I can easily work with you to accommodate your needs depending on your home, fur baby, and personal preferences. I am comfortable taking your animal out for walks, play time outside, or crating inside if you prefer.

I have dog sat for two years for family friends and have taken care of my own puppy for 4 years. I am flexible with times and days. During the year I am a full time student at the University of Iowa. I am friendly and patient with all pets and will follow instructions carefully. I would love to help out and take care of your pet as much as I can and am excited to have this opportunity through Rover. I hope to fulfill my services with the utmost respect for your pet and home.

“Oscar has done an excellent job in caring for our two cats and a our golden retriever with tenderness and love. We highly recommend him.”
17. Maria Joy G.
About: I grew up with cats, dogs, horses, chickens, and rabbits on a large property in Brazil. I’ve always had a knack for animals and I genuinely think they’re incredible. I can’t have a fur baby here so I’m really excited to start spending some quality time yours! I live by a large dog park and some awesome trails that I walk every day… Bringing a fur baby would make the world a difference. I play volleyball at the University of Iowa so I am in the gym every morning from 9-12. I have all online classes so I’m able to spend full days with your dogs. I’m super loving but I understand the importance of understanding what might be best for the animal. I would appreciate a brief explanation from owners to understand what they feel is best in taking care the animals.
18. Katie D.
About: I have grown up caring for animals of all types (dogs, cats, horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and more) and have previously worked with a local vet to further my passion for animals. Many family and friends have trusted me with the care of their animals through the past 10+ years. I have experience with basic training commands that I have learned from attending training classes with my own dogs with positive reinforcement methods. I am thankful to have a work from home job that I can spend time with my dogs every day. I am generally off work by 4:30 pm on weekdays and am not required to work on weekends. I have one wonderful dog at home. My home would provide the ability to play with other dogs, relax in the house, enjoy time outside in a fenced in part of our yard or on the closed deck with country views. If your dog prefers a crate or a run for some alone time throughout the day that can be arranged as well.
19. Brittney P.

20. Maria C.
