“Kun was so great to have during this trip! He sent us constant updates throughout the day in order to keep us posted about how our dog was doing and always was super understanding. Would definitely re-book.”

“Sriram and Rekha were absolutely wonderful! From the moment we had our meet and greet, I knew my sweet lab Peanut would be in in exceptional hands. Their property is truly beautiful! It's so expansive, spacious and very safe, it's like a luxury dog hotel! They are such kind people and really made Peanut feel so welcome and right at home. Over the July 4th weekend, they went above and beyond by sending me adorable photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind. It was clear Peanut was so happy, comfortable, and receiving lots of love and individual attention. This was without a doubt the best boarding experience I've ever had. I couldn't recommend Sriram and Rekha highly enough and I will absolutely be booking with them again, Peanut didn't want to leave! Thanks guys once again for taking such incredible care of my fur baby Peanut!”

“Carolina was absolutely wonderful with Brady! She is so caring and attentive, and it really shows how much she loves what she does. She was responsive from the very beginning, keeping me updated. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was with someone so reliable and thoughtful. I could tell Brady was happy and well taken care of. I would highly recommend Carolina to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and truly caring sitter!”

“Lisa was very kind and caring with my Junie. She sent me texts and pictures and I was put at ease immediately. I would definitely recommend her and look forward to using her services again.”

“Christina and Nick watched our large Rottweiler for 6 days. Christina provided very helpful and detailed updates multiple times per day. Meet and greet, pick up, and drop off were all agreed upon and followed. Wonderful hosts - thank you!”

“David is great! He kept me updated the whole time while he was with Kali. He gave Kali plenty of exercise and attention; she came home and went straight to her bed. Will definitely stay with David again.”

“Jennifer took good care of our dog. She was very communicative and kept us updated with everything. I will recommend her to anyone that is looking for some one who can take good care of their dog.”

“Natasha and Hamir took such great care of Minnie! They are so sweet and clearly very knowledgeable about dogs and are “dog people.” My dog was instantly comfortable when she met them, which put me at ease. They really treated Minnie like their own and kept me updated while I was away. We will definitely be back. Thanks for everything!”

“This was such a positive experience! First time leaving our pup for multiple days outside of close family and friends, and Jane made us feel great about it. Not only did she send pictures and updates, it was evident that she and her family really accepted Elwood into their lives and made him feel welcome. I think he was even a little sad to leave them behind when it came time to come home! Jane was also very accommodating with drop off and pick up times, which made the experience that much easier.”

“Jessica and her husband were clearly so patient and understanding about sitting for a senior dog. Salto came back happy and excited! They sent regular photos and updates. I would absolutely have Salto stay with them again if we are in the area.”

“Thanks Christopher, you did a great job having Kaya, she is healthy and happy after staying with you! Will recommend you to my friends and next time when I have to go on vacation, I'll ask you to have Kaya with you once more, if you don't mind!”

About: I was a mama to my Olde English Bulldogge boy Lolek for 11 years. I currently own a 2 year old Bull Terrier female named Koko and a 15 month old Cockapoo named Nala. I also have 5 chickens and 6 ducks and love to take care of animals as a homeschool mama. I homeschool my kids so I have a very flexible schedule. I am available during the week as well as the weekend. I only my be unavailable for services between 5pm-7pm as I may be taking my kids to extracurricular activities. I have 2 dogs at home so I welcome pets that get along with other animals. I have a 1.7 acre unfenced yard and love walks in my neighborhood and playtime in my yard. My dogs are crated during the night and when I am not home. I welcome pets that sleep in the crate during the night but also can accommodate well trained sleepers that need a bed or sofa. I can train your pup with simple commands and can give a bath as needed (for extra cost). I do have a dog kennel outside that I can use to let the pets I care for safely run around and play with each other.
“Jennifer took great care of my black lab, Finnley for a few days while we were away for a long weekend at a family wedding. I don’t leave him often, so finding a local sitter that I felt good about took some research. I found Jennifer through Rover and saw great reviews. I appreciated getting photos while we were away to see that he was having a good time as well:-).”

“Gabriela did an amazing job taking care of our Diesel for 4 days while we were on vacation. She was caring, responsible, and made sure Diesel was happy, comfortable, and well taken care of. She kept us updated, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that she genuinely cared about Diesel and treated him like her own. We came back to a happy and well-cared-for dog! I highly recommend Gabriela to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving, and dependable dog sitter. We would definitely have her take care of Diesel again! ❤️🐾”

“Boo had a wonderful stay with Jillian and Andrew over Christmas. Really wished I could have taken Boo with us but was so happy that she was in the care of Jillian and Andrew. They updated us daily with photos and texts. Really nice people. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone!”

“We had an excellent experience with Michael from Rover. From the very beginning, he demonstrated outstanding communication by ensuring we brought all the necessary supplies and asking thoughtful questions about our three furbabies' care. He was always responsive and replied to our messages promptly, giving us confidence that our pets were in great hands. During their stay, Michael went above and beyond by sending us daily updates with pictures and messages, which gave both my fiancé and me peace of mind. He also carefully followed all of our care instructions, including cleaning our pets' eyes as requested, showing genuine attention to detail and compassion for their well-being. It was clear that Michael truly cared for our three furbabies and treated them as if they were his own. We greatly appreciated his professionalism, reliability, and dedication. We would highly recommend Michael to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter, and we would not hesitate to book with him again.”

“This was our 4th time with Loida and it was just great, as always. My dog Yarra loves Loida and it is a real treat to stay with her. So I planned my vacation around the days when Loida was available because I can trust Yarra to her. Yarra was super excited to get to Loida's house, I rarely see my dog so acutely happy. It was like reuniting with family. Loida sent me updates and pictures during Yarra's 10-day stay, noting her appetite, activity and mood. Loida and her son played with Yarra and gave her plenty of love. My dog can be quite fussy about food, but Loida has been making perfect adjustments to her meals. 10 days is a long time for a German shepherd to be away from her pack, but when I came back to pick her up Yarra was healthy and happy. She had a great time. Loida, I can't thank you enough!”

“Fabulous interaction with Lynn from start to finish! Our pup had a great stay and we will definitely be booking with her again! Thank you for taking such good care of our little guy :)”

“Arsenii takes great care of Bubba like always! We can rest assured that Bubba would have a great time when we are in vacation if he’s with Arsenii. He’s simply Bubba’s favorite :)”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Warwick
Cindy was wonderful! She happily accepted our 5 year old Lab for a 4 day stay with only 4 day’s notice. Just when we were feeling guilty about not bringing Sybil on our trip a pic of her looking comfy and happy would show up to make us smile and know she was being taken good care of. Sybil enjoyed her stay at Cindy’s beautiful property and enjoyed her walks in the country too! Absolutely top notch stay in every regard.

We are soooo happy with Heather E.!!! I have recommended her to my friends at work, and we will use her services FOREVER!!! They are like family to us!!! My dog was so excited when we went into their house for his second visit, and they sent pics to make sure my daughter felt better about leaving her pets.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
