About: I am a rescue dog owner of 3 large dogs. My oldest is 10 and my youngest is 6. My passion and love for animals is huge and I love all dogs of any size and type. I am a single mother looking to make some extra income and would love to help care for your babies as a way of doing so. I currently work full time from 8am-4pm locally and am available for walks any time after 4:30pm during the work week. Available for weekend opportunities as well. Could walk any time after 10 on weekend days. My rescue does not like other dogs so unfortunately, I can't care for your animal in my home. “Brett was excellent in taking care of our companion, Celtie and our three parrots. Celtie is a senior dog who requires some extra help for confidence with steps, she also requires some meds and supplements in her daily feedings. Brett handle this perfectly by understanding her physical and emotional needs. His positive and gentile demeanor with her, during our two meet and greets, left us with no doubt that she would be in good hands while we were away. Brett kept us informed with texts and pictures regularly of him and Celtie while we were away. His communication before, during and after his stay in our home was immediate. Brett wanted to be sure that our flight was not delayed and that we would be home in a timely manner to care for Celtie. He even offered to return to care for Celtie if we were running late. One more appreciation about Brett is that our home was clean and in the condition we left it to him in. We could go on but, in the end Brett is an excellent sitter. About: I grew up with a love for animals nomatter how small or big, scales or fur, I wanted to play with them. Growing up with 3 dogs, 6 chinchillas at a time, a hamster, fish, and more showed me how much I absolutely love my animals so I started volunteering at animal shelters where I then, went on to manage a pet store over time. When people would hear I watched animals for others whether they were reptiles, cats, dogs, or fish they started to use me for mini getaways and then long trips. When leaving an animal with me it gets spoiled. I do not believe animals needs to be just fed, watered, and let out. The time you put into the pet is the bond youre able to create with it and you want someone who is going to treat your pet as their own and that is exactly what I do. Pet care gives me the flexibility of caretaking in between my families schedules. Instead of being set to a 9 to 5 I can stagger my time to fit all my needs so it allows me to get chores done, appointments checked off without taking a day off, and allows me to also fulfill my real estate job along the way. After volunteering at shelters and having many animals of my own I have learned that patience is key. When meeting a new animal who may be anxious or scared, sitting quietly with them for awhile and allowing them to come to you on their own terms works the best. Forcing an animal to adjust to a human is not in anyway okay and only makes things harder for them to trust a human. Making sure an animal has a properly secured and adjusted harness or collar before going out is also a big thing I have always checked incase the animal is an escape artist. Before allowing a dog to go outside making sure gates are secured as you never know when one may be unlatched for any reason. When going on walks I am always aware of my surrounding for cars, people, other animals to keep all safe. If an animal is hypersensitive or reactive knowing ahead of time allows me to adjust accordingly.
