About: Hello all! I’m Michael, and I looking forward to caring for your pup. I’m experienced with all ages and I treat every pup like part of the family. (Due to my current living situation, I am ONLY allowed to dog board/house-sit hypoallergenic dogs or dogs that shed minimally.) Let’s connect! My availability varies throughout the week but I can be more than flexible to accommodate your pets needs. Whether it’s taking your dog for a quick walk or boarding for a weekend, I’m your guy. I care for pets by trying to keep a clean environment at all times. Cleanliness is very important to me as I find it very important for general health.
“Terrance is definitely someone you can leave you dog with and won't have to worry about anything. He has prior experience with dealing with them, his dogs are friendly and calm. My dog isn't used to interacting with other dogs, but with Terrance and his dogs, Leo was able fit right into the pack. I will definitely book with Terrance again.”

“Kelvin and Monica were wonderful. Great communication and lots and lots of pictures, which helped put me at ease! My babies seemed very happy. This is definitely a bulldog house and will absolutely be using them again!!!”

“Francesca and John were wonderful! Buddy did very well during his stay. This was his first time ever boarding and I was nervous about how he would do since he is an older dog. They kept me updated all the time and assured me he was relaxed and not anxious. So glad we found them!”

“Craig took excellent of my dog Tucker. Craig’s large fenced in back yard was so thrilling to Tucker that he was very tired after the visit. I will be using Craig again on a regular basis. Thanks so much Craig”

“Fiona is awesome and very accommodating. As an overprotective pet parent, she felt very trustworthy early on. Fiona kept us informed and sent lots of pics. Titan really likes her also and he ran right in when we dropped him off. I would 100% recommend Fiona to anyone looking for a sitter that gives the family experience to your furbaby!”

“Sridevi and her husband were great! Took great care of our lab, including providing cooked meal as per his schedule. Very easy communication and timely updates, with lots of pictures and videos that kept us up to date on his whereabouts. I would gladly refer her and use services again as needed.”

“Isabell was amazing with our two dogs. She made sure to send us pictures and videos of the dogs everyday. Seemed like they were having too much fun in the yard. One of our dog is a bit of challenge and she made sure to take care of him. We will be definitely using her services again.”

“Carolina was absolutely wonderful with Brady! She is so caring and attentive, and it really shows how much she loves what she does. She was responsive from the very beginning, keeping me updated. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was with someone so reliable and thoughtful. I could tell Brady was happy and well taken care of. I would highly recommend Carolina to anyone looking for a kind, responsible, and truly caring sitter!”

“First time using a Rover, Richard made us feel very at ease and welcomed. Zeven our Goldendoodle seemed to have had a good time and we appreciated the photo up dates a couple of times during his stay. We will definitely use Richard and Karen again next time we are in the area and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone visiting West Point with their dog.”

“Kenniqua was incredible! She took my request last minute due to a family emergency, and she really eased the stress of that weekend. Our dog was happy, got to sleep on the bed, and got walks. Her space was calm and her dog Honey was a sweetie. Kenniqua provided updates and wonderful communication. Will definitely ask Kenniqua to care for my pup again. Thank you for helping us out, Kenniqua!!”

“Jessica and her husband were clearly so patient and understanding about sitting for a senior dog. Salto came back happy and excited! They sent regular photos and updates. I would absolutely have Salto stay with them again if we are in the area.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NY ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
