About: For the past seven years, I had the privilege of sharing my life with my dog, Agatha, whom I adopted when she was around seven years old. She recently passed away at an estimated 14 years old after battling cancer. Caring for Agatha, especially during the last few months of her life, taught me patience, compassion, and how to meet a dog exactly where they are. As she got older, she needed more hands-on support. Whether it was helping her stand, carrying her when her body wouldn't cooperate (all 55 pounds of her!), or hand-feeding her because that's how she was most comfortable, I learned that every dog has unique needs and deserves care that respects their personality. Agatha was fiercely independent, so I always tried to give her as much dignity and choice as possible while making sure she felt safe and loved. While I'm not ready to adopt another dog just yet, I truly miss having one in my life. That's what brought me to Rover. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet, whether they enjoy long walks, playtime, or simply having a calm companion nearby. I live in an apartment with easy access to outdoor walking paths, sidewalks, and a nearby dog park, making it easy to provide plenty of exercise, fresh air, and opportunities to explore. My goal is to make your pet feel comfortable, cared for, and at home while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in loving hands. I own a local fitness studio, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. Most weekdays, I'm available between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. for walks, drop-in visits, or spending quality time with pets. My mornings typically begin around 8:00 a.m., and I'm at my studio from approximately 9:00–11:00 a.m. and again from 4:00–7:00 p.m. Because I have flexibility throughout the day, I can provide regular potty breaks, exercise, meals, and companionship. Whether your pet enjoys an active walk, playtime, or simply relaxing with someone nearby, I'll make sure they receive attentive, personalized care while you're away. I know that every pet is different, so my first priority is getting to know your dog's routine, personality, and any special needs before their stay or visit. I'll follow your instructions closely, whether that's feeding schedules, medications, favorite walking routes, or little routines that help your pet feel comfortable. In my home, pets will have a clean, calm environment with plenty of attention, fresh water, potty breaks, exercise, and a comfortable place to rest. I live in an apartment with easy access to sidewalks, green space, and a nearby dog park for dogs who enjoy socializing (only with your permission). If I'm caring for your pet in your home, I'll treat your home with the same respect I would my own while keeping your pet's routine as consistent as possible. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Above all, my goal is for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away.

I have a senior small dog of my own, and before that I had experience walking and caring for my neighbors' dogs when I was younger. Outside of Rover, I have multiple clients I regularly house-sit for with pups of all ages/sizes. I've also volunteered with shelter dogs! I also have experience with other animals if required. In my home I have 3 wonderful cats as well as my dog! I've worked with rabbits, dogs, cats, turtles, and am eager to learn about anything else. My top passion is pets. My availability is flexible, but I prefer a heads up at least a week in advance to coordinate accordingly. I am also a trained groomer, so I have experience in all grooming aspects, dog handling, and dog body language. My own pup is reactive, so I am incredibly comfortable and confident in handling your pet if they have behavioral issues as well. DISCLAIMER: I require a meet and greet prior to any daycare stays in my home, for everyone's comfort. Everyone's safety is of the utmost importance, including your pets' and mine. While one of my cats is very elusive, the other loves dogs and so does my dog! I am great about fitting some care into my day even on shorter notice. My routine is usually just hanging out at home and popping out to grab a coffee a few times, so I'm available to your pet nearly 24/7! Please let me know any special care instructions! Unless otherwise stated, I always let pups out every couple of hours, feed once a day and always give fresh water. Some dogs prefer to be leashed when outside but others will go on their own so please notify me of your preference! My main priority is keeping your pet happy and safe.
