About: I’ve taken care of my family’s dogs since I was a pre-teen. My siblings rely on me for their dog-care when they go out of town. I love taking mine and my siblings’s dogs on walks whenever I can! I have experience from puppies to older dogs. I’m currently working part-time while I’m in grad school, so I have plenty availability most afternoons. I love to walk my own dogs as a nice study break and would love to include your fur babies! I have a fenced in yard that ensures the safety of your pets and allows them plenty of space to run sdound! My parents and I have two medium-sized dogs that love to play with others!

About: Dog mom here! I offer a cozy, fun, and safe home-away-from-home for your pup! Plenty of playtime, belly rubs, walks, and cuddles included — because every dog deserves a vacation too. 🐾 During college I began looking after others fur babies as a side business, with now seven years of experience! I also have experience with administering medications and other personalized care! I currently have a dog with severe separation anxiety and he loves the company, this brings! 🩷 I currently work as a property manager, but prefer to work with animals over people! I believe that pursuing this opportunity is a meaningful step toward finding greater fulfillment and long-term satisfaction in my work. I currently live in the country with a 8 acres of land ready to play on! While it is not fenced in, it is tucked away from the road!

About: What sets me apart is my reliability, communication, and experience caring for others. As a youth sports director and coach, I am responsible for the safety and well-being of over 100 children, which has taught me the importance of trust, consistency, and attention to detail. I bring those same qualities to pet care. I understand that every pet has a unique personality and routine, and I take the time to learn what makes them comfortable and happy. Whether your pet is energetic and loves long walks, a young puppy working on routines and basic manners, or a senior pet that needs a little extra patience and care, I am committed to providing personalized attention. I am active, dependable, and highly organized, and I pride myself on keeping pet owners updated with photos, messages, and regular check-ins so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands. My goal is to make your pet feel safe, loved, and cared for while you're away. Pet care fits very well into my daily routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide consistent attention, exercise, and companionship throughout the day. As a coach and sports program director, I am highly organized and accustomed to planning my schedule around the needs of others. I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors, so regular walks, playtime, and exercise are something I genuinely look forward to. I also understand the importance of maintaining a pet's routine, whether that means feeding schedules, medication administration, potty breaks, or simply providing companionship and affection. I make it a priority to give every pet the attention and care they deserve and to keep owners updated with messages and photos so they can have peace of mind while they're away. When caring for pets in a client's home, my goal is to keep their routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while their owners are away. I follow all instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication administration (if needed), and any special preferences or routines. During visits, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and affection. I also monitor their behavior and well-being to ensure they are happy and healthy. I understand that pets can experience stress when their owners are away, so I focus on providing a calm, positive, and caring environment. I treat every home with respect and care, keeping things clean and secure while I'm there. Communication is important to me, so I provide regular updates, photos, and messages so owners can feel confident knowing their pets are safe and well cared for. Whether it's an energetic dog that needs extra exercise, a cat that prefers quiet companionship, or a senior pet that requires a little extra patience and attention, I adapt my care to meet each pet's individual needs.

Aracely let out and fed my puppy midday for 2 months until the end of my school year. She took great care of my little guy. There were two times that she canceled morning of and, with that late notice, I was not able to leave work or get anyone else to take him out. I understand life happens but my little guy did go to the bathroom in his crate both of those days. If I could give 4 1/2 stars, I would!

I am available part time to love and care for your dog(s) and cat(s) while you are away! I have a male Malshi named Gus Gus that will be with me while house sitting or pet sitting in my own home. He gets along with other small dogs well! He loves to play! He does not come with me to drop-in visits. Your dog and I will play games, go for walks, and be best buds during our time together. I will provide basic pet care duties, such as walking, feeding, playing, brushing, and bathing if necessary. I will clean up any messes that may have occurred and make sure your dog is safe and comfortable at all times until you return home. I have availability during the week after 5:30pm to care for your precious little fur baby. I am not available every weekend but when I am, I will have open availability and can hangout with your pets all day! I treat mine, my friend’s, and family’s pets like family members. I treat them like the precious little babies that they are! We play, get treats for good behavior, take baths when there’s been a little too much fun outside, we brush, eat breakfast and dinner, and cuddle before bed time.

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was a kid. We have always had at least one dog in the house if not more. In the past 6 years I have helped my parents to puppy train twice. I love dogs unconditionally, but I am not afraid to show a little tough love when needed. I’m currently going back to school and attend a lot of local sporting events but I still make it a priority to take my dog for a walk daily. Whether we fit in a walk before I leave in the morning or in-between class and a game, I know how much she loves her walks. I also make sure to give her ample play time when I am home. I make sure that whether the pet is in a fenced in yard or not I am always keeping an eye on them when outside. I always respect the clients wishes regarding their animal being on furniture, in what rooms, and such on.

My area of expertise is training, and I have a deep understanding of dog behavior and body language. Each and every dog is unique, especially yours! I’m currently working part time and have been primarily working towards my training clients. I will be available next month, around most weekday evenings and weekends. Understanding what a dog values sets me apart! Play time is key, and I use any time I have to play indoors, outdoors, in a structured way to help dogs with their behavior, at the clients, and dogs comfort level.

About: I have had animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up with always having a dog in the house and then about 3 years ago I adopted 2 cats. I have 1 year old dog and 2 cats in my home. I often dog sit my friends elderly pup along with my parents coworker trusting me to look after her cats while shes away. I am very trustworthy and reliable. I work full time and am typically available anytime after 3 on Mondays, anytime Wednesday, and after 5pm Thursdays/Fridays. I have every other weekend off, so some weekends may vary with times available. When it comes to dog walking or drop ins, I am also available to stay at your home for some extra socializing and playtime for your pet. At home my dog is on his leash outside as I don’t have a fenced in yard. My cats are also free roam throughout the house with two liter boxes spread out that I clean daily. About: I have been taking care of pets since I was a child. I grew up on a farm and had to care for the family pets. I have watched a plethora of dog breeds for a night, weekend, week, or just to check in. I have experience clipping nails, bathing, and administering medications. I love pet snuggles and giving treats as well as being very active with my pet friends!! We can be flexible with pet sitting needs and am able to provide services during the day, evenings and weekends. We provide boarding, sitting, drop in visits, and walking. We do not provide housesitting overnight at this time. We have a loving energetic 4 year old black lab mix who loves friends to play with and a 12 year old daughter who loves caring for pets. We have a cozy ranch-style home with a small fenced in yard for free play. We can easily crate if needed/preferred. We prefer you provide your own dog food, but we have pedigree high protein kibble if needed. We like to give training treats for a job well done. We always use positive reinforcement with our own pets and others!

About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 10 years old. I was responsible for walking the family dog when I was younger, volunteered at a shelter walking dogs every Saturday morning for 5 years, and have owned a dog myself for the last 20 years. My current dog, Bruce, and I are a registered therapy dog team, which required a lot of training and building of trust between us. He's a border collie (though he's slowed down in his old age) that needs his daily walks and play time. I understand how stressful it can be to leave your pets with someone. You need to be able to trust them and I promise to take care of your dog with as much love and care as I take care of my own. I have 4 cats, so you pup MUST be good with cats. I work from home everyday so I am able to take care of potty breaks as needed and provide attention and playtime throughout the day. Building trust with an animal is etremely important. I am careful to keep an eye on body language so that I know when an animal wants more or less attention, needs to go for a walk, or needs to play. My own dog has been trained to walk on a loose leash by my side and does not pull. I've had plenty of experience walking shelter dogs who had no training though, so I can handle quite a bit. I regularly interact with my cats depending upon what type of interaction they want. I have two cats who love to play with toys on strings, and two other cats who prefer to be showered with pets. I am a believer that if you pay attention the animal will let you know what it's boundaries are.

  • 90% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 93% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 94% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
