I recently moved to Ohio from Dallas where I was known by work colleagues and friends as the “street dog whisperer.” Every day after work I would spend hours finding and rescuing street dogs by myself. I have fostered many dogs over the years in Dallas and volunteered at our overcrowded animal shelter on the weekends. I’m comfortable with dogs of all ages and sizes, and have experience caring for dogs with injuries (e.g., broken bones) and respiratory infections commonly contracted in shelters. Before heading out for walks I will make sure your pet is secured properly in either harness or collar leads, if I am letting them out and playing with them in your yard, I will check all gates to make sure they are secure and will not let you pet leave my site during visits.
