“This was my first time using rover.com. I’m really really happy with the whole process. I especially appreciated her checking in when she got to my house and started the walk and the updates along the way. My dogs are kind of nervous, but she handled them well. I liked getting pictures too. The only thing I didn’t know is that you paid when you booked, which makes total sense. I don’t know if I just missed it in the instructions or what. I definitely plan on working with Hilary in the future.”

About: I have had a pet in my life ever since I was born and I have had a myriad of pets over the course of my life. My pets have included dogs, cats, rodents of all kinds, birds, fish, and reptiles. I have worked and cared for the animals at the Capital Humane Society, Petco (I was also a dog trainer), and Pioneers Park Nature Center. I currently have a house full of dogs of my own and frequently dog sit my grandpuppies whenever my daughter and son-in-law need me to do so. I have also recently taken an interest in dog grooming, but I am still learning. Currently I am a stay-at-home-mom and all of my kiddos are in school full time, so my schedule is fairly flexible. The only parts of my schedule not flexible are school drop-off and pick up. Occasionally I have to help care for my 94-yo grandmother when my aunt is unavailable to do so, but that is not often. I care for pets in the manner requested by their owners, but I also like to spend time with each animal and make a connection with them. Getting to know a pet's personality helps me provide the best care outside of the basics. I am always happy to take pictures and/or video as requested by the owners as well.

“Kalob did an amazing job walking little Champ. He was patient and gentle, making sure to keep a steady pace that matched Champ’s tiny steps. Kalob seemed to understand exactly what Champ needed since he has a few dogs of his own, stopping when Champ wanted to sniff around or take a short break. Champ feels safe and comfortable around him, turning the walk into a fun experience for both of them. He’s clearly enjoying his time with Kalob. Kalob really cares for Champ and I’d fully trust him taking care of him anytime!!!”

“I cannot think of anyone better to take care of your pets than Deana. With experience in veterinary care, she has always been the biggest help with my dogs whether it's taking them on hikes or to the emergency vet at 1 in the morning. Above all, she has a deep love for all animals and anyone would be lucky to have her as a pet sitter.”

“Dani loves all animals, especially dogs. He is kind, gentle and personable. Dani has taken care of my 2 1/2 year old doodle on a number of occasions and Harley loves Dani. He takes her on long walks and gives her time to sniff and enjoy herself, even taugh her to stop before crossing the street. He has. Cared for her at times and follows all my feeding and med directions and even plays with her. I’m sure Dani would be an asset to you Rover services.”

“Miranda watched my cat while I was away for a week with my family. She took great care to feed her promptly, and spent some time just socializing with my cat to make sure she was doing alright. I checked in on my pet cam whenever it saw a person, and it was always her enthusiastically talking to my cat and giving her love while also understanding when to stop petting. You can tell she’s very sensitive to animals, which is reassuring.”

“Maria is amazing with animals. She has experience with young and elderly dogs. Big and small. Loud and quiet. Maria took care of my long haired lab and they had a great time together. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact her if I ever needed pet care.”

“I have known Caitlin for a very long time and she has been my main dog sitter the last two years I've had my dog Bailey. She is great with her own dogs and Bailey instantly loved Caitlin and joined in as part of the group whenever I had to leave town.”

About: I have taken care of puppies, dogs, kittens and cats. While raising my own animals I have potty trained them and given them love and affection. I have a part time job but am flexible throughout the day and night. I have a 2 year old son as well that is with me nights and weekends but is at school during the day. I have an apartment that allows animals. My apartment is safe and secure 2 bedroom with a balcony and plenty of outdoor space for walks and playing. We also have nearby trails and parks!

“Elijah has house sit for our 2 cats as well as our multiple fish tanks and Koi ponds. He was reliable and took the time to play with our pets and make sure they had attention while we were on vacation for a week. He was respectful of our home and followed the plan that we agreed upon (which included regular feeding, watering, and litter-box cleaning). If you have fish tanks, ponds, or outdoor animals that might require some additional knowledge to take care of, that is something he specializes in, which is a skill that is harder to find with average pet sitters. He is also more than capable of typical cat/dog requests and he loves animals. I would highly recommend Elijah!”
