Because I’m a stay-at-home mom, your pet becomes a natural part of my daily rhythm! My schedule offers the ultimate flexibility for your furry friends. Once the school drop-off is done, my late mornings and early afternoons are wide open and dedicated to long walks, playtime, and giving your pets the midday attention they crave while you're at work. I also offer a 'Night Owl' service—after my own kids are tucked in, I love headed out for one last evening visit. It’s my favorite time of day to provide those quiet, late-night cuddles and a final potty break, ensuring your pet is relaxed and sleepy before bed.

Safety, trust & environment

My Approach to Pet Care Whether I am stopping by for a quick check-in or a long afternoon visit, my priority is safety, stimulation, and affection. Here is how I handle each service: 🚶 Dog Walking (Energy & Enrichment) The Route: I customize the walk to your dog's age and energy level—whether they need a brisk mile or a slow "sniff-around" to stimulate their brain. Safety First: I always double-check harnesses/collars and stay hyper-aware of other dogs or distractions in the neighborhood. Refresh: Every walk ends with fresh water and a paw-wipe if it’s a rainy day! 🏠 Drop-In Visits: Short (15 mins) Efficiency & Care: These are perfect for potty breaks and quick feedings. The Checklist: I prioritize the essentials—fresh water, food, and litter box scooping—followed by 10 minutes of focused playtime or cuddles so they don't feel lonely. Updates: You’ll receive a quick photo and a "business" report (potty/eating) before I leave. 🛋️ Drop-In Visits: Long (30+ mins) Company & Comfort: Best for high-energy puppies or "velcro" dogs and cats who crave human presence. Quality Time: We might spend 30 minutes playing fetch in the yard and the other 30 minutes relaxing on the couch. Household Help: Since I’m there longer, I’m happy to bring in the mail or water a few plants to keep your home looking lived-in and secure. 🛡️ Standard Care Procedures Regardless of the service, I follow a strict protocol to ensure your peace of mind: Home Security: I am meticulous about locking doors and setting alarms exactly as instructed. Communication: I send "pupdates" with photos after every visit so you can see your happy pet in real-time. The "Animal Magnet" Touch: I use the first few minutes of every visit to settle the pet’s energy, using a calm voice and gentle approach to ensure they feel safe and excited to see me.

Information Emily G. would like to know about your pet

🏥 Health & Medical Essentials Veterinary Info: Name, address, and phone number of their preferred vet (and a nearby 24-hour emergency clinic). Medications: Clear instructions on dosage, timing, and the best "trick" to get them to take it (like a pill pocket or cheese). Allergies: Any food sensitivities or environmental allergies (like grass or bee stings). 🐕 Behavior & Personality The "Triggers": Does the dog bark at squirrels, fear thunder, or dislike other dogs on walks? Knowing this prevents accidents. Walking Style: Are they a "puller"? Do they use a specific harness, or are they prone to "bolting" out the front door? Hidey-Holes: For cats, where do they go when they are scared? (This saves you from a heart attack if you can't find them!). The "Animal Magnet" Check: Are there specific spots they don't like being touched? 🏠 Home & Routine Details Feeding Logistics: Exact measurements, where the food is kept, and "rules" about table scraps. House Access: Garage codes, hidden keys, or finicky locks you should know about. Security Alarms: How to arm/disarm the system and the "grace period" before it goes off. Cleaning Supplies: Where the paper towels and pet-safe cleaner are kept (accidents happen!). 📞 Emergency Contacts The "In-Town" Backup: A neighbor or friend who has a spare key in case of an emergency. The "Worst Case" Limit: Are they reachable while away, or is there a secondary person authorized to make medical decisions?

A typical day

When I’m with your pets, "fun" is tailored to their unique personality! For high-energy dogs, I love engaging in vigorous games of fetch, supervised backyard zoomies, or "sniffari" walks where they can explore new scents. For cats and less active pups, I provide mental stimulation through feather wands, laser tag, or hide-and-seek with their favorite treats. My goal is to ensure every pet gets that "spark" of joy during my visit, whether it's through belly rubs, athletic play, or quiet companionship. Since I’ve never met an animal who didn't like me, I’m an expert at finding the exact game or scratching spot that makes them feel special!

Pet care experience

Animals have been the heartbeat of my home for as long as I can remember. With over 15 years of personal experience raising both dogs and cats, and 5+ years of professional pet sitting, I’ve navigated everything from puppy energy to senior care. I pride myself on being an 'animal magnet'—I’ve truly never met a pet I couldn't bond with! When your furry family member is with me, they aren't just being watched; they are being loved, played with, and treated with the same dedicated care I give my own.
