“Evelyn is awesome. She has a great demeanor and is super kind and patient. Scout warmed up to her and really enjoyed her company. Highly recommend Evelyn!!”

About: Lifelong animal lover who treats every pet like my own! Whether it’s playtime, walks, or cuddles, your furry best friend’s in good hands. I’ve cared for pets of all kinds and love giving them a safe, happy space because they deserve the best! 💕🐕 I just recently graduated so I have a completely open availability for walks, check ins, or to just keep your pets some company while you’re away! I’m currently available mon-thurs at any time! For Fridays-Sundays I’m available anytime before 4pm, as I usually have work after 5 on weekends, I’m looking forward to filling my free time keeping company to your animals! I always treat pets (and their homes!) with the same care and respect I’d want for my own. I make sure doors are locked, routines are followed, and your furry friend stays safe, happy, and comfortable at all times.
“Hannah is phenomenal. Super friendly, punctual and professional. Scout is super timid and he took to her immediately and actually gave her a hug on her second sitting appointment, which he never does. I highly recommend her!!”

About: I worked as a Lincoln Children's Zoo volunteer for five years, from age 11 to about age 15-16! Cared for and handled all sorts of animals! Have also been a a go-to pet sitter for my neighbors for at least seven years, and am still happy to continue! I usually work closing shifts for my job on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but all weekdays I am available to check on your fur babies! Most of the time, I am scheduled to work at about 4 P.M, so any time during the day, I would love to come over! Love to play with pets, especially doggies! Will play outside/run around with them, send you photos to update you, even snuggle up on the couch with them if they're feeling tired!
“Mya was attentive to all of our pets, and did a great job of communicating questions or issues to us in a timely manner. The house was just as we had left it. We had zero concerns about her ability to care for our animals. She is responsible and showed up when she said she would be there. Definitely will have Mya house-sit for us again.”

“We highly recommend Kristin. She did great watching our dog for us and followed the instructions we were needing. Will definitely be using her again for future services”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats for family friends for years. My girlfriend and I love meeting new fur babies and getting to play with them! I work 1:30 to 5:30 every week day at the bank! Olivia works 2 to 8 usually but other than that we like to watch tv and go on walks so we will be at the house often!! I send photos of pets and make sure the owner is at ease for the whole time we are there! I am very responsive to texts if there are any issues/updates. I am comfortable with kenneling dogs at night or having them sleep on the bed!

About: I've dog sat for various families over the years. I've house sat 3 different times, and have experience with senior dogs needing extra care (medicine, cleaning, etc.) I also have experience watching up to three dogs at once. I have family and friends willing to assist me in case of emergencies, as well. I know some dog first aid, including CPR and Heimlich. Once I graduate from college and finish my summer classes in September, my schedule will be completely open! I don't have any regular weekly commitments, so I can spend as much time with your pet(s) as needed! I like to spend as much time with pets as possible, even if that just means sitting in the same room as them while we each do our own things.
“Audrey is very friendly and an excellent communicator. She confirmed all appointments we set prior to the pet sitting dates and sent daily messages when we were away. She also sent pictures knowing we enjoy seeing the pups even when we’re gone. Audrey left the house very clean including running laundry and the dishwasher upon her departure. I hope to use Audrey’s services many times again in the future!”

“Nathan took extra care with our very senior pup (14+, fragile condition) and they got along well during his overnight stay at our home. He’s very conscientious, read our instructions in advance and asked good questions to learn more or get clarity. We came home to a calm pup and tidy home. We hope we have Coco long enough to have Nathan sit with her again!”

“She is fabulous she kept updates and tons of photos to show. She was a very quick response and my girlie loved her! This was our 1st time using rover app. She calmed my nerves with all the smiles and loves from our girlies. We will be using marikita again for sure! Thank you again!!”

About: Hi! I'm Adam! I am a professional dog trainer with over 5 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. After being the General Manager of a dog training facility, I developed a passion for helping dogs feel safe, confident, and loved. Whether it's a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, I'll provide dependable care, plenty of exercise, and lots of updates so you can relax knowing your pup is in great hands! I have a flexible work schedule, which allows me to provide dependable care throughout the day and accommodate a variety of pet care needs. Whether it's early morning walks, drop-in visits, or evening check-ins, I'm able to adjust my schedule to meet your pet's routine. I believe consistency is important, so I do my best to keep pets on their normal schedule to help them feel comfortable and secure while you're away. I believe every pet is unique, so I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and preferences before providing care. In a client's home, I aim to keep your pet's routine as normal as possible by following feeding schedules, providing fresh water, going on walks or playtime, cleaning up after them, and giving them plenty of attention and affection. I'll also send regular photo and text updates so you can have peace of mind while you're away. If I'm caring for a pet in my own home, I provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment where they can relax and feel at home. I'll make sure they receive plenty of exercise, enrichment, potty breaks, and one-on-one attention while maintaining any routines or instructions you've provided. My goal is for every pet to feel happy, secure, and well cared for from the moment they arrive until it's time to go home.

About: I worked at Kenl Inn full time for about two years! I worked off and on after that for about another year! We hiked them securely on a trail and strictly observed behaviors in their rooms and also with other dogs. I learned a lot about dog behavior from those years and how to handle dogs on walks. Working there so many years also built up a lot of muscle to walk larger dogs as well as the small ones. I work technically part time for the post office currently! I occasionally will pop into Kenl Inn to lend a hand! Usually my evenings are free if a night out is wanted and my dog is usually with her grandma on weekends anyhow! I am usually free after 5 PM but my job can make it tricky with the unpredictability of it. I am also down to do very early morning things before i work at 7:30 AM. I am usually off on Sundays as well! I am very respectful of other's homes and training styles! Every dog is different and have different needs. I have given meds and dry pilled if needed. I have no issues with it. I have handled aggressive and reactive dogs and am very familiar with how to handle them and myself in an antsy scenario.
“Chelsea is amazing! My husky Maddy just loves her and my dog is usually a little timid and shy. I rely on Chelsea many times when I'm in a bind and she's always willing to help me out. Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve been Pet Sitting officially for seven years, I’ve owned cats and dogs my whole life, I love animals I even major in it for college. During college, I started to take on more clients during the summer and I would manage 20+ clients during a summer. I have experience in taking care of small animals like aquariums and fish, two large animals like horses and goats. I have experience managing medications, special needs, multiple pets, special diets, etc. whatever you throw my way I will be up for :) I do work as a manager at a golf course, But my schedule varies and I have large gaps in my day where I will be able to take care of your pet. I am not opposed to getting up early to make sure I get a visit in before a shift, or coming there immediately after work to spend some time with your Pet. I always wanna make sure I spend as much time with a pet as possible and make sure they’re getting their needs all met. I am more than willing to take care of pets at their home, that is their space. I will always make sure I visit multiple times in a day, or if you are up for it, stay overnight with pets. I always make sure all the doors are secure before I leave, everything is clean and put in the place, I always check to make sure there’s no accidents or issues with the pets and their area depending if they kennel or not. I don’t like to leave unless pets have eaten and have had plenty of time to go outside, take a walk, play.
About: I have had dogs since I was very young. We had lab mixes while I was growing up who I fed, walked, and trained. I have my own GSD now that I have trained. I also share a shiba inu with my family. I am currently just modeling so my availability is pretty open. I typically have every weekend free and atleast 5 hours of every week day free. I am sure to walk all dogs I care for as long as it is safe for them to be walked. I will not walk a dog on hot cement for their sake. I feed my own dog 2x a day but can change that schedule for any dog I care for.
“Both kitties seemed to be unfazed by my absence, which speaks to Ashley's care and attention. I really appreciated the pics too! I am very grateful to have found someone that I can rely on while away from home.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Walton on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 258 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Walton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Walton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Walton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Walton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Walton. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
