“I was a bit nervous since this was my first time using Rover, but Daisy was incredible! She took great care of Tiny, sent updates, and made the whole process so easy. Will book her again😊”

“Erin & her family were such wonderful caretakers of our sweet pup, Honey. Honey would run to the door she was so excited to be reunited with Erin and her dog. They had abundance of outdoor space and provided all the cuddles! We will definitely be returning to Erin anytime we need care. 😊”

“Raven loves spending the day with Lauren and Maddie!! We immediately felt comfortable with Lauren when we came to her home for a meet and greet. She has a fenced front and back yard, and lots of room to play. Maddie is a sweet girl and a great playmate. I'm hoping that Raven will pick up some good habits from her!! Lauren was very flexible when I was running late one day from work. Appreciate her accommodation and terrific care.”

“Debbi no ka oi. (Debbi is the best) we relied upon Debbi’s care for our IG during a busy week plus in Honolulu. She was flexible and able to suit our needs perfectly. Our dog was happy, healthy and I was always assured of Debbi’s excellent care of our pet. I highly recommend her.”

About: I have a happy girlie herd of 5 guineapigs. I spend a lot of time caring for not only their nutrition and health but their enrichment, too! How does this apply to your dog, cat or misc cutie pie? I'm a diligent pet owner and pick up on pet behavior and cues quickly. In my home, their safety is my priority and no sweetheart with "please pet me!!" Eyes will be ignored. I'm much more patient with animals than I could ever want to be with people. Dog is a leash puller? Okay, long walks then and playtime to drain their hyper meter. I have had dogs in my home most of my life, cats and now just guineapigs. They have their own room and are safe for me to host your pet. I work from home doing the exciting (To me) work of accounting! I have a comfy couch and two hands to administer belly rubs, a quiet apartment with lots of natural light and valley breeze. I would take your dog out for a walk early morning, afternoon and before bed. If your dog loves to play with toys to tire themselves out, bring them because I will play with them until they are napping on my couch. As for leaving the home, I will try not to leave your pet for very long, only to get groceries or grab something from the store. If your dog has severe separation anxiety please let know. There may be ways to reduce their anxiety for short stays. I have guineapigs and by default I know how to pet proof an area because they chew on anything they can. For dogs and cats I just mimic this and anticipate what they might get into if I don't secure the area. My guineapigs have their own room and cage that for dogs bred originally for their prey drive will never interact with as I can shut their door. Your pets will never get food from me you haven't authorized to include accidentally dropping food. Im immune to begging puppy eyes for table scraps. On walks, I will pick less busy times and avoid other dogs. I wouldn't want an unfriendly neighbor dog to interact with your sweetie. Emergencies. I will call you, then your vet l, ER vet or feather and fur in Kailua a 24hr Vet ER. It's a 30 ish minute drive from my home I have made in the past for my own guineapigs health. Your pet is in safe hands.

“Briana did an awesome job caring for my pup over the course of 3 days of doggy day care. She is very warm and kind and Henry took to her straight away. She got him out on lots of adventures and let him chillax on the furniture with her and her boyfriend when they were at home. I received several pictures and updates throughout the 3 days Henry was with Briana and she was always very accommodating and flexible when my schedule happened to change. Highly recommend!”

About: I've been around dogs, cats and animals of all kinds and enjoy them all. Our last "personal" dog was a yellow lab named Nalu. He has since departed but we speak about him to this day. Prior to that I had many family dogs as I was growing up. We have a large yard with plenty of room for our buds to explore. I am a retired health care professional and spend a lot of time in my yard. It would be easy for me to do & I could be fairly flexible. We allow our boarder dogs in the house, downstairs, but also allow them plenty of outside time in our fenced yard with shade, grass to run in and of course plenty of water as needed.

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life. As an adult I had a border collie for 9 years. He was our first baby and we miss him deeply every day. I am happy to help our neighbors with dog care and maybe one day be a dog family once again. I work remotely from home. We have a 3 y/o in daycare and my husband works in town. I am available Monday through Friday at the house while most are at work. We have a fully fenced in single family house just a mile from the beach and less distance from Kailua town. We already have a relationship with Kailua vet clinics, Ali’i animal clinic, and feather and fur.

About: Aloha! Official animal lover here, who’s had and taken care of various types of pets from Tarantulas, Turtles, Hamsters, Gerbils, Chameleons, parakeets, frogs, to rabbits, fish, cats and dogs! I would love to watch your furbaby and take great care of her/him! I’m experienced with caring for dogs and cats of all stages, big or small. I like to exercise, so your dog will get plenty of exercise (walk or run) with me:) I also speak Japanese and Spanish! I do not work, but do travel often to mainland as I have elderly parents. So when I’m on island I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies. My husband works from home, we live in a nice townhome community with a big park nearby. We also have a large lanai over our two car carport, so your dogs can enjoy hanging out inside or outside.

About: I am a responsible 63-year-old professional. I have decades of experience with my own pets and have provided pet care for my friends on numerous occasions. As a senior software architect I work from home full-time, so I have complete flexibility to follow *your* preferred schedule in caring for your pet(s). I have a fenced-in yard and spacious four bedroom home. No rooms are off-limits to your pet(s); they will have the run of the house and yard.

About: Aloha, I’m Sara! I’m a full-time sitter based in Hawai‘i Kai. I’m new to Rover, but I’ve been caring for dogs for over 15 years. Friends, family, and neighbors have always trusted me to care for their pets, and I’m excited to offer that same level of care here too. I enjoy hosting extended stays or long vacations and many of my doggy guests are with me for a week or more. I’m happy to follow whatever routine yours is used to, whether that means crate time, couch time, or a quiet space to nap. My goal is to make sure your dog feels loved and cared for while you’re away. My rates reflect the quality of one on one care your dog will receive including plenty of attention, extra bathroom breaks, daily walks, and a peaceful home environment. I’m available for dog boarding on both weekdays and weekends. Whether your dog needs extra company, a calm place to rest, or just someone to stick to their routine, I’m happy to provide that for them. I live in Hawai‘i Kai with a fenced front and back yard and my sweet Frenchie, Tsuki, who loves making new friends. I also have two older dogs, Maggie and Sammy, who prefer a mellow routine, so I always do gradual introductions to make sure everyone involved feels comfortable. Since I’m home full-time, your dog will get consistent care and attention. They’ll have direct access to the outdoors through our doggy door, along with easy access from the main living space to the front yard for sunbathing, bathroom breaks, or just hanging out in the sunshine. I’m happy to follow your preferences for furniture access, crate use, and sleeping arrangements - although no guest doggie has made it past the second night without ending up snuggled on the bed!

About: I worked as a veterinary assistant for 6 years, pet owner of cats, dogs and birds all my life. I am kind, respectful, responsible and friendly to all. I love getting to know any animal and see their different characteristics and personalities! Currently I’m focusing on my art and caring for family, so my schedule is very flexible. I am able to change my schedule according to what is needed. It is easier for me to care for pets in their own home as I have multiple pets in the household. I will try to maintain your pets normal routine.

“Rebecca, a mother of three, is a very caring, organized, and dependable person. She is known by all for her love of her family, hiking, and overall positivity! James C.
“I am absolutely thrilled to recommend James Calhoun as a pet sitter. He has cared for my pets with such love, attention and compassion that I consider him nothing short of a blessing. James is a long time friend of 20 years and he has always loved our pets as his own. Kona absolutely LOVES staying with him and gets so excited when we pull in front of the house to drop her off!!!!! Kona is a 13 year old Chocolate Lab so she has a few special needs but James is so wonderful with her. Whether it’s throwing the ball in the backyard, feeding, medication, or just offering companionship and affection, James, goes above and beyond. One of the things I appreciate most is the peace of mind I feel when I’m away. James keeps me updated with messages, photos, and little notes that show just how well my pets are doing. His attention to detail, reliability, and genuine care make all the difference. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, compassionate, and completely devoted to animal care, look no further. I can say with complete confidence that your pets will be in excellent hands with James!”
