“Fabulous. Ziggy had the best experience and made new doggy friends. Natalie is amazing. She sent me tons of daily update photos that alleviated my worries and concerns (my dog can be a little anxious sometimes) and text updates, as well. Five stars, 10/10, will definitely be a return boarder. Thank you, Natalie!!”

About: I bring years of experience of loving and caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes, both at home and while families are on vacation or on a weekend getaway. I look forward to getting to know you and the needs of your fuzzy companion.

“Here are why I recommend leaving your fur babies with Cheryl. She is at home all day so the babies are taken cared of 24/7. My elder dog needs 3 medications every 12 hours and Cheryl was able to give them to her. Lastly, while on my trip, the daily photos along with a little info about their day that I received helped me to know they were doing great.”

“Sarah was an excellent host for our two pups. She communicated every day and asked one question about our blind dog’s medications to ensure she had the sequence correct. Their property was perfect for two semi-active dogs. Plenty of socializing and exercise. Sarah is highly recommended and we would definitely ask her to sit again!!”

“Béla was absolutely fantastic looking after my 4-legged furry little girl. She was super easy to work with, perfectly communicative, and went above and beyond taking care of my pup - even over the noisy New Year's holiday. I would 100% recommend Béla to anyone and am grateful to know that someone so caring and capable is available when I need someone to take care of my precious furkid. Thanks Béla!!!”

“Dianne was a lifesaver. First time ever doing something like this especially with my son’s dog since I had to be away for a few days. She walked me through the process and put me at ease that Tator would be in good hands. Dianne keeps me updated with pics and reports of how he was doing which kept me reassured.”

“Alex was awesome, handled Azumi's new medical issue well and took good care of both dogs while we were away. They were happy, tired, and ready for a long nap when we all got home. And Alex was flexible about pick up when we got stuck in traffic getting back to town. Very happy!”

“Rebecca was exceptional; a Godsend at the last moment. She and our kitten took to each other immediately and her attention and mature enthusiasm was very reassuring. Rebecca is indeed the best and has our highest recommendation. She’s our go to sitter from now on!”

“Just a wonderful experience. Kandice is caring and thoughtful with her care of my dog Eevee. I felt that she was loved and in a family environment. Just couldn’t have asked for more. Will use her services again.”

About: Been watching and caring for pets since I was 10 & rarely had any problems! “He responded right away to my request. When we met, he showed me around where Gabby would be. He introduced his pack to my girl the right way, one at a time and slowly. Having a little pup, that put me at ease. He also sent me pics with updates which was really nice too. Solid choice for pup watching.”

About: I have loved and trained our own Bernese Mountain Dogs (Germany and Belgium) for over 20 years, and fostered dogs (senior dogs, puppies, and Animal Control rescues) the past 3 years, sometimes taking in dogs who had no reason to trust humans, dogs that learned through our care that comforting routines and training through play helps them to trust again, and leads them to becoming more adoptable dog companions. I believe trust has to be earned with our dogs. Only then, will they let us care for them with love through routines they can count on. I look forward to continuing the routines you have already established with your pupper. I raised our dogs believing every day, every moment is an opportunity for training of basic dog citizen behaviors (come, sit, down, leave it, etc.) through active engagement and play, and daily walks and cuddles. Note: We still welcome in Foster dogs, and hope your non aggressive dog(s) will also be good pup ambassadors in interacting with senior dogs or other fosters. I work remotely part-time from home, and I am retired so aside from short trips away from the house for errands, I am here to care for your dog(s). With our own dogs, we held to a consistent schedule: a morning walk (7-ish), then breakfast, rest (to avoid bloat in large dogs), playtime several times per day in our fenced yard, and an afternoon walk, then dinner. We have a fully fenced yard on 1/4 acre. Potty-trained dogs are welcome in the house and on some covered furniture. We have a 30ʻ deck with an outdoor couch and chairs with with rolling gates to the outer yard. We also have a smaller fenced area for dogs who prefer to be outside in cool shaded grassy areas. I specialize in large non-aggressive dogs. Most of these dogs do not like like to sleep in human beds; I welcome pet guests to bring their own large dog beds for their stays.
“Athena was great. I received daily updates (photos and videos) of my dog Max. Max was very happy and relaxed throughout his stay with wagging tail. I highly recommend her and definitely will be booking with her again.”

“I recently boarded my dog with Austin and had a WONDERFUL experience. Austin provided a warm and welcoming home environment for my furry friend, making the transition from my home to a boarding situation much easier for both myself and my dog. He was attentive to my dog's needs, offering plenty of love. The updates and pictures I received of my dog made me feel confident that my pet was in good hands. The boarding facilities were top-notch, with a spacious backyard for my dog to play in and a cozy bed for him to rest in. Overall, I would highly recommend Austin for anyone looking for a dog boarding option that feels like a second home for their pet. The level of care and attention Austin provided was exceptional, and I would not hesitate to use their services again in the future.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Volcano
Natalie took great care of my sweet, little boy, Pocket while I was out of town and she even went the extra mile and celebrated his birthday with him and his pup friends!!!! I have been bringing Pocket to Natalie for at least three years now for both doggy daycare and boarding, when I absolutely have to leave Pocket behind. I will not leave him with anyone else. Thank you, thank you, thank you Natalie for allowing me to have a worry-free vacation!!!!

My dog had a wonderful time at Natalie's super-social indoor/outdoor dog camp, a fact I know because of the daily photographic evidence sent daily to my phone, enabling me to enjoy my vacation even more. (Prior to official week-long drop-off, my dog did a couple hour-long visits to confirm good chemistry with the place, fellow dogs, etc.) I'm a worrier, and Natalie did everything to communicate that she's a dog-lover who knows what she's doing. Recommended!

Many sitters in HI ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
