“I don’t think there is anybody in the world who would treat my dog better. I feel bad every time I pick my pup up and she has to come back to live with me! I highly recommend Nat!”
“Sarah was absolutely wonderful with Tanga, and I felt very comfortable leaving him in her care. She sent me regular photos and videos throughout his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I was especially happy to see how well Tanga got along with her dog, Toby, and it was clear that Sarah made him feel comfortable and at home. She was reliable, communicative, kind, and very attentive to him. I’m extremely grateful for the care she gave Tanga and would absolutely trust her with him again. I travel from time to time and will definitely reach out to Sarah again in the future. I feel very lucky to have found someone I can genuinely trust with Tanga. Highly recommended!!!”

“Alexander was great again with our pup, Koa. We've hired Alexander for doggy daycare several times, but this was the first boarding. There was a small mix-up at drop off, but he apologized and worked quickly to rectify the mistake. Koa is an anxious little guy, and Alexander was great with him. He accommodated our needy pup wanting to be glued to him the entire stay. They worked on the computer together, mowed the lawn together, and I'm sure there were countless other hours of lap snuggles. Warms my heart knowing that our little Koa was treated with compassion and support while away from home.”

“Just a wonderful experience. Kandice is caring and thoughtful with her care of my dog Eevee. I felt that she was loved and in a family environment. Just couldn’t have asked for more. Will use her services again.”

“We absolutely love Dianne! Ellie stayed with her while we were in Kona for my niece’s graduation party, and it was such a relief knowing she was in great hands. I was so busy with the party that I often forgot to check in, but Dianne always sent thoughtful updates and photos multiple times a day. A friend reminded me that it wasn’t that I forgot—it’s that I knew Ellie was safe and well cared for, and that couldn’t have been more true. Ellie had the best time, and I’m sure she can’t wait to visit her Aunty Dianne again!”

“Cheryl took wonderful care of Oda for a multi-day stay. Oda was newly arrived to Hawaii and had several housing changes in the past two months. Oda was anxious and reactive and responded well to Cheryl's calm and comforting manner. Part of the anxiousness Oda experienced resulted he her rubbing her nose into things until it was raw. Oda was so comfortable with Cheryl that Oda quit rubbing her nose and it actually began to heal. Cheryl definately provided the tender loving care that Oda needed to relax and start enjoying Hawaii. It's not everyone that will take on a large, active, and anxious dog. I highly recommend Cheryl for pet care and owner care. It was the first time I left Oda and she was very reassuring. I will be a repeat customer! Thank you, Cheryl!”

“Rebecca is not only a great and well respected pet sitter but someone who for us is also a dear friend. Her experience and education are well suited for animal care but more importantly her heart is in what she does. We cannot imagine anyone with whom we would feel more secure leaving our cat Hobo in the care of. The photos she sends of him inside her home interacting with the other cats and dogs in a safe and happy environment are both pleasant and adorable. It’s almost as if he’s at “school” learning to play and be well with his friends! Rebecca makes sure everyone interacts comfortably and safely and the result is a healthy social environment that is beneficial for the animals and reassuring to owners. It’s amazing to see! Separation is of course possible if necessary.Yet seeing our cat enjoying the benefit of safe and healthy social interactions in Rebecca’s care he might never enjoy in some cage filled kennel makes having Hobo in her care a treasure. She is a Godsend and we a so blessed to have found her for our precious little guy.”

“He responded right away to my request. When we met, he showed me around where Gabby would be. He introduced his pack to my girl the right way, one at a time and slowly. Having a little pup, that put me at ease. He also sent me pics with updates which was really nice too. Solid choice for pup watching.”

“I recently boarded my dog with Austin and had a WONDERFUL experience. Austin provided a warm and welcoming home environment for my furry friend, making the transition from my home to a boarding situation much easier for both myself and my dog. He was attentive to my dog's needs, offering plenty of love. The updates and pictures I received of my dog made me feel confident that my pet was in good hands. The boarding facilities were top-notch, with a spacious backyard for my dog to play in and a cozy bed for him to rest in. Overall, I would highly recommend Austin for anyone looking for a dog boarding option that feels like a second home for their pet. The level of care and attention Austin provided was exceptional, and I would not hesitate to use their services again in the future.”

About: I have loved and trained our own Bernese Mountain Dogs (Germany and Belgium) for over 20 years, and fostered dogs (senior dogs, puppies, and Animal Control rescues) the past 3 years, sometimes taking in dogs who had no reason to trust humans, dogs that learned through our care that comforting routines and training through play helps them to trust again, and leads them to becoming more adoptable dog companions. I believe trust has to be earned with our dogs. Only then, will they let us care for them with love through routines they can count on. I look forward to continuing the routines you have already established with your pupper. I raised our dogs believing every day, every moment is an opportunity for training of basic dog citizen behaviors (come, sit, down, leave it, etc.) through active engagement and play, and daily walks and cuddles. Note: We still welcome in Foster dogs, and hope your non aggressive dog(s) will also be good pup ambassadors in interacting with senior dogs or other fosters. I work remotely part-time from home, and I am retired so aside from short trips away from the house for errands, I am here to care for your dog(s). With our own dogs, we held to a consistent schedule: a morning walk (7-ish), then breakfast, rest (to avoid bloat in large dogs), playtime several times per day in our fenced yard, and an afternoon walk, then dinner. We have a fully fenced yard on 1/4 acre. Potty-trained dogs are welcome in the house and on some covered furniture. We have a 30ʻ deck with an outdoor couch and chairs with with rolling gates to the outer yard. We also have a smaller fenced area for dogs who prefer to be outside in cool shaded grassy areas. I specialize in large non-aggressive dogs. Most of these dogs do not like like to sleep in human beds; I welcome pet guests to bring their own large dog beds for their stays.
“Athena took really good care of our corgi Roxy in her home. She would send pics and videos throughout the day to let us know how happy Roxy was doing activities with Athena and her dog. They all got along so very well. Roxy loved her time with Athena. I hope that Athena will be available to watch Roxy again the next time we need a sitter.”

“Regan took excellent care of our cats and our home while we were away! She clearly gave our animals lots of love, and we returned to happy, healthy babies and a clean home. We would definitely have her come again!”

Particularly their need for love when they want it, and how to give them space while still making them feel loved and engaged. I currently have a wonderful cat named Snape, he is shown in the picture above.

“Natalie and Mark have been awesome! Working with my precious 8 week old pup on pottie training and more. They treat Kai as if she was their own! So happy to have found them.”
About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was young. Neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets. I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs and large breeds, plus those that need a little extra patience and attention, and I'm fully comfortable administering medications and handling special care routines. My partner and I work from home on a large, open acreage property on Hawaii's Big Island, which means your dog gets constant supervision, fresh air, and the freedom of a true home environment. Our dogs are currently off island, which means your dog gets our undivided attention and is always the star of the show. Your fur baby is family, and we'll treat them exactly that way — with aloha I work from home full-time, which means your dog is never left alone. My days are built around flexibility — morning walks, midday play, afternoon lounging, and evening wind-downs are all part of the routine. Your pup will have a consistent, attentive presence throughout the entire day, every day of their stay. I'm available for boarding 7 days a week, and because I'm always on the property, last-minute needs and extended stays are never a problem. Whether your trip is a quick weekend getaway or a longer vacation, your dog will have the same loving, supervised care from check-in to pickup. Your dog's safety is my top priority from the moment they arrive. I'm trained in pet first aid and know how to recognize and respond to health concerns quickly and calmly. Because I work from home and am present on the property all day, your dog is never unsupervised outdoors — every outside time is accompanied and attentive. Our large acreage property is open and natural, which means dogs enjoy real freedom to roam, sniff, and explore — always with me by their side. For pet parents who prefer a crate or have a dog that feels more secure in one, I'm happy to accommodate that with advance notice. I'll always follow your care instructions to the letter and communicate any concerns promptly. You'll receive regular photo updates throughout your dog's stay so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and in good hands.

About: I have dogsat for people all over the world from the mainland to Costa Rica for over 40 years. People have entrusted their dogs to me for vacations out of the country, long term & short term. I accept them into my home and treat them just as if they were my own! Lots of love, hugs, walks and smooches! I also make sure to follow the pet owners instructions so they are cared for exactly how the owner wants them to be. I am very careful and conscientious while caring for someone else’s dog, safety is first on the list! I am very loving, have high integrity and ethics, plus I am very reliable. Since I am home all day your pet would be with me 24/7. I am one that enjoys interacting with the dogs, whether it be playing fetch or going for a walk everyone enjoys getting outside. I have a Chihuahua, named Jose that I rescued in June 2024. He is a really nice guy but takes a little while to warm up to newcomers. I am very careful while attending someone else’s pet, I know that they are like their baby so I take care of them like one of my own. In other words I spoil them rotten! Caring for people’s pets fits right into my lifestyle, as I am retired and an artist. I spend most of my time at home doing my artwork and working outdoors on my property. I am very careful with pets that I sit as well as my own. I keep a good eye on them at all times, making sure they are safe and not getting into trouble! I have a gate at the top of my stairs so I know everyone is safe and where they are supposed to be. I live on 3 acres in a little Ohana 450 feet back from the road. It is a very calm and quiet atmosphere with no neighbors in sight.
“Bela was incredible! She was able to accommodate drop off and pick up times being that it was a last minute booking. She kept me updated with videos and pictures from the moment I left the house. My puppy is a cuddler and Bela let her cuddle with her! She was able to socialize with other dogs and play in a big yard! Highly recommend!”

I grew up with 5 dogs and 3 cats. I would always be outside teaching them tricks and egar to share all my love with them. I'm good at administering medications and working with paralyzed and senior dogs. I've also been wonderful at socializing and knowing dog behaviors and patterns. I'd be more then happy to love your dog like my very own, as I know the importance of good care for their well being. I provide all services. About: With over 20 years of experience, I’ve learned that a dog doesn’t just need a place to stay—they need a staycation. If you’re looking for a home-away-from-home, I offer a safe, cozy environment where your fur-baby is a pack member, not just a guest. My home features a spacious, half-acre fenced yard, perfect for zoomies and sunbathing. Toby, my dog, is always ready to make new friends and play. Whether you’re heading off-island or just need someone for the day, I’m here to make sure your fur-baby's time away is just as fun as it is safe. Every dog is part of our pack. I provide regular photo and video updates so you have total peace of mind while you're away. Let’s chat! I’d love to meet you and your fur-baby to discuss how I can make your next vacation, their staycation. Message me to schedule a meet-and-greet! Enjoy peace of mind knowing your dog is in loving hands. I’m home all day, providing constant care and a secure, comfortable environment for boarding dogs. I travel within a 10 mile radius from Pahoa, covering Keaau and nearby areas, ensuring your pup gets timely care, whether at my home or yours. Guest dogs enjoy a safe, loving home with a fully fenced half-acre yard in Pahoa for playtime, plus a cozy indoor space for rest. I offer frequent play sessions and potty breaks every 0-2 hours. I’m experienced with administering oral and injected medications and handling special needs dogs. My household has no children, and my own sweet 6 lb dog, Toby (neutered), is friendly with other dogs (no females in heat accepted)—he enjoys company, so I especially welcome calm 20 lb (or 21-40 lb) dogs who are already accustomed to living or playing with small dogs. This helps ensure everyone has a relaxed, fun stay!
“This is the second time with Dianne watching our dog, and we can’t speak highly enough of her. She’s prompt, terrific with our pup and just a really nice person! We feel so lucky to have found her.”

“Alexander was caring and kind to our little pup, Koa. He was intentional and slow in introducing the dogs to each other. He has a large, fully fenced-in backyard, but for this first dog sitting, he brought Koa out on a leash in the yard and for a walk around the neighborhood. Alexander was accommodating and flexible with pick-up/drop-off times and was available with short notice. We will book with him again.”

“Took great care of my new puppy! She was on meds and had a cone for her paw with stitches and he took great care of her and kept her paw clean and cared for. Will definitely go to him again and highly recommend”
About: For over five decades, I’ve had the joy and privilege of caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. What began as a childhood love for animals has grown into a lifelong passion and profession. From raising litters of puppies to gently bottle-feeding orphaned kittens, and from grooming horses to tending to backyard chickens, I’ve experienced nearly every aspect of pet care. My journey includes extensive hands-on experience with dogs, cats, turtles, fish, horses, cattle, and chickens. Whether it’s managing the complex needs of a senior dog, administering medication to a diabetic cat, or ensuring a horse’s hooves are properly cleaned and checked, I bring a deep well of knowledge, calm confidence, and loving patience to every animal I care for. Throughout my career, I’ve worked on farms, in veterinary settings, and as a full-time pet sitter. I’ve handled emergency situations, special needs animals, and high-energy breeds. I know the importance of not just feeding and walking pets, but understanding their behavior, emotional needs, and unique personalities. I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. Pet care is a natural part of my daily life. I work part-time remotely from home on my own flexible schedule, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, companionship, potty breaks, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), and personalized care throughout the day. I’m a true homebody who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals, so pets are rarely left alone for long. My flexible lifestyle allows me to adapt to each pet’s routine, ensuring they receive consistent care, love, exercise, and a calm, safe environment where they feel comfortable, secure, and treated like family. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my highest priorities. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I treat every animal with the same love, patience, and respect that I give my own. In my home, pets enjoy a clean, calm, and supervised environment where they receive plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and companionship throughout the day. My five friendly, well-socialized pets can provide positive interaction for social animals, while pets who prefer quiet time can enjoy a separate yard or their own space. If your pet is crate-trained or you prefer they be crated during meals, bedtime, or when appropriate, I’m happy to follow their normal routine. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and reduces stress. When caring for pets in your home, I respect your home and follow your pet’s established schedule as closely as possible. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, medications, walks, potty breaks, bedtime routines, and favorite activities to help your pet feel comfortable in their familiar surroundings. I’ll also make sure doors, gates, and fences remain secure, clean up after your pet, monitor for any changes in behavior or health, and keep you updated while you’re away. Every pet is unique, so I take the time to understand their personality, energy level, medical needs, and comfort level around other animals. Whether your companion loves to play, enjoys quiet naps, or requires extra patience due to age or special needs, I’ll provide personalized care that helps them feel safe, relaxed, and loved. My goal is to earn your trust by providing dependable care and giving you complete peace of mind, knowing your pet is in experienced, compassionate hands.

“Katie did a great job with walking my two dogs (German Shepherd and Shepherd mix). I could tell from the meet and greet that she has a great knowledge of dogs and that they love her. My pups are looking forward to their future time with her”
About: **I AM TRAVELING OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY STARTING 5/20/26 AND WILL BE BLOCKING MY CALENDAR TILL I KNOW I WILL RETURN. ** I travel off island often and can't have my own puppy family, so I will watch your fur-babies like they are my own! I enjoy the adventure of pup-sitting at homes all over the island. I work remotely so am able to be away from my place for long stretches of time. While I like to explore the local areas I stay in, I will mostly be snuggled up with your fur-babies typing away. I am a veteran with Rover- In fact I have been pet-sitting before Rover existed using Craigslist. I have a huge love for all animals and am very experienced with caring for different types of animals and breeds. I am patient, and gentle with a huge heart for animals. I understand every household has different culture. I always try and mimic all the rules of the home. Pets not allowed on the couch? no problem. Dogs like to sleep in the bed with owners? I am an expert puppy snugger. Perhaps the best. I will try and reinforce all commands and rules so there is a seamless transition upon your return. When dog-sitting in your home I will leave it better than I found it and happily respect boundaries and house rules. * My property is in Hilo but I am open to sitting at homes all over the island. In fact, I love to! I will text picture updates to my clients so they feel comforted that their sweetheart is being loved on. Why I love dog sitting: I had a Golden Retriever rescue for over 15 years till he passed 10 years ago. I travel a lot and didn't think it was fair to get another dog, but have been pet sitting since. I LOVE having dog energy still around... and the friendships I have made with my puppy parents. For my lifestyle it's the best of both worlds! I work remotely so am very flexible with my schedule and love having pets around to love on while exploring new and interesting locations on this beautiful island. My place is in Hilo but am open to doing pet sit stays all around the Big Island. Initial meeting can be done with a zoom call before meet and greet if too far from my area. I can also do house drop in visits if it coordinates with my location at the time needed. Right now I am primarily house sitting since my property does not have a fenced yard. I will match your schedule as best as possible and take care of your place the way you desire.

About: I love animals & relish all opportunities to make new animal friends! I've cared for & trained multiple pets - mostly dogs - going on 25 years. Experience with: -dogs -cats -fish -rats -house sitting (long & short term) -both on & off the Rover platform. Willing to learn more! Chickens, goats, birds, etc. - I'm open-minded, flexible, & collaborative :) I find dog training techniques especially interesting, & believe in an evidence-based approach centered on positive-reinforcement. I understand the importance of having awareness of vocal tone when addressing dogs in particular. Generally, I tend to nerd out on occasion when it comes to dog facts. Did you know dogs' noses produce unique "prints" just like our fingertips?! There's more. I have one pet currently - Indi. He is 55 lbs, 2 years old, fun-loving, sweet, intelligent guy who's never made a single enemy - including cats! Don't let his bark ever fool you, he's just tending to his canine duties properly :) (he's a good boy!) He loves running, sniffing all over, & cuddles. He'd love a playmate! If you're fairly confident your pet & mine will become fast friends, propose a convenient time for a meet & greet (expect about 20 minutes) to give the dogs a chance to get properly acquainted/comfy. Mahalo nui loa for your consideration. Please reach out with any questions or concerns! I'm happy to help. I'm aware of the critical role a lengthy sniff-sesh, interactive play, & adequate exercise provide dogs & strive to meet these needs daily. I have a fenced, well-maintained, wide open field available for well-monitored, cautious play time. My top priority goal is safety for the animals, then excellent customer service, in that order. I'm here to apply your care preferences, not apply my own. I believe in an empathetic approach to achieve excellent customer service. It's extremely important to me that you feel comfortable voicing/discussing any concerns you may have at any point openly, professionally, & with a solution-focused mindset.

About: Animals have always naturally gravitated toward me, and caring for dogs has never felt like “work” to me I genuinely love it. I’ve helped watch and care for dogs for family and friends many times over the years, and I’m the type of person who pays close attention to their energy, comfort, and routines. I know every dog is different and I’m very patient with shy, anxious, high-energy, or affectionate dogs alike. I am very intuitive with their needs and and some people even call me a “dog whisperer”, because of how in tune I am. I love spending quality time with them, whether that’s going on walks, playing outside, relaxing together, or simply making sure they feel safe and cared for while their owner is away. I also understand how important updates and communication are when someone trusts you with their pet, so I always aim to be dependable, attentive, and caring. I currently work as an online life coach, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to be available throughout the day for pet care, walks, check-ins, overnight stays, and quality time with your dog. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals so I’m able to give them lots of attention, companionship, and care rather than leaving them alone for long periods. My schedule is very open and flexible, and I’m happy to work with your pet’s routine and needs. I always want pets to feel safe, calm, and comfortable while in my care. I pay close attention to each dog’s personality, energy level, and routine so they can feel as relaxed and at home as possible. I’m very patient and attentive, and I make sure pets have plenty of love, supervision, playtime, water, potty breaks, and a peaceful environment. I also understand how important trust and communication are when someone is caring for your pet, so I always aim to provide updates, photos, and dependable care so owners can feel fully at ease while they’re away.🐶❤️ I’m also a very clean and hygienic person and I always treat people’s homes with respect and care. I genuinely like keeping spaces tidy, and I aim to leave your home just as clean or even cleaner than I found it.
“Cassidy and Anahita are wonderful! Our dog had a wonderful time with them and came home happy and tired. If we ever need help again we definitely go back to them. Thank you both so much!”

My availability is flexible as of now so, I'm able to spend as much time as possible with each and every dog that I have the opportunity to care for. “I don’t think there is anybody in the world who would treat my dog better. I feel bad every time I pick my pup up and she has to come back to live with me! I highly recommend Nat!”
