“Darian was amazing with our Maverick! She goes above and beyond just making sure he gets his potty breaks and is fed. She took the time to interact with him and make him feel comfortable while we were away. Darian did a great job of keeping us updated on how Maverick was doing. Wish I could leave a 10 star rating!”

“Christian took wonderful care of our pets while we were away! She was reliable and attentive, giving us so much peace of mind knowing our furry family was in good hands. She handled our older dog, needy kitten, and diabetic cat with no problems. It was clear she genuinely cared for them, and we came home to happy, well-cared-for pets. We truly appreciated her help and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter. Thank you again, Christian!”

“CAundra was great! It was our first time using Rover so we were a bit worried but she was awesome! I was very appreciative how she came and met the dogs before the stay. She updated us with pictures every time she went to the house. Would definitely be booking in the future!! Thanks for taking great care of my fur babies!”

About: I’ve helped care for a wide range of animals some being as young as a week old to being over 14 years old. I have loved caring for hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and the average house cat and dog. I have some free time with college classes being over for the summer and my student worker position that doesn’t require much of my time. So I would love to fill that time doing something I would love. At home I have a friendly and energetic blue heeler that loves to play ball and a senior orange tabby cat that is sweet but on his own time. I love caring and playing with them and any of my family and friends animals.
About: For the last 15 years I've been the go to sitter for family, friends, and friend's friends! I love meeting new pets and getting to give them a little vacation of their own. I'm no stranger to medicating animals, and love a good training or play session. So far, I've taken care of geckos, cockatiels, hamsters, various fish, English bulldogs, German Shepards, maltases, golden doodles, pitties, various labs, and more! I am available for over nights with advance notice, but am presently accepting swing-by cares. I am currently working a flexible part-time schedule. Luckily, I live near the highway and have easy access to most of Wichita and surrounding areas! Due to a few fur babies of my own - I am unable to provide care in MY home. However, when in client's home I happily take care of minor chores while providing playtime, walks (when the lovey is a dog of course), and company. With kitties I will always spend a few extra hours company with them. All drop ins are a guaranteed 1 hour visit.
“Reagan was so great with our kitties. They instantly took a liking to her and were well taken care of. She was very communicative and shared daily updates with pics. Highly recommend”

About: I’ve worked in a vet hospital for over 10 years in a wide range of positions/duties. Working with dogs is a pleasure of mine and I know how much more comfortable they can be at home! I work full-time but can make visits at least 3x/day during the week! Of course over the weekends, your babies will get much more attention!! I am open to whatever your pet needs in order to keep them comfortable! This can be discussed as needed. Safety of everyone involved is an utmost priority!
About: I’ve had a dog most of my life, but I’ve owned Cavaliers for 15 years. I’ve cared for multiple dogs (and cats) at one time. I prefer to care for dogs in your home. I can also care for fish, chickens and do general housekeeping. I reside in El Dorado, but for the last year, I have been substitute teaching in the Wichita metro area. Therefore, I do have some flexibility in my schedule at this point. I’m able to do potty runs during the day provided the distance allows it. I prefer to care for pets in my client’s home so that the dogs are used to their normal environment and routine. If needed, I can care for a single small-medium sized dog in my home, although the dog must be comfortable being on a leash as I do not have a fenced yard. Also, I am not a smoker or drinker.
About: I've taken care of dogs of every kind since I was 10. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. I am currently in school still but get out early. About: I have always been a dog lover, and I love meeting new pooches! I have sat for many dogs over the years, and have recently trained my own service dog named Dolly Parton. She is my best friend and can meet your dog- or not- we're flexible! I work full time days, but my evenings and weekends are typically free for pet care. If needed I can also take an extended lunch break to check on your pet. I am available to play with your pet at your place or a park if they are up for a drive. I am very active, so if your dog wants to go for a walk or a run, I'm ready to work up a sweat!

“Sydney was excellent and took great care of my two cats! She stopped by daily and spent a good amount of time with them. She sent me daily updates and photos. The booking process was smooth and she was extremely responsive. I highly recommend Sydney if you are looking for a friendly sitter who will take excellent care of your fur-babies.”

About: My name is Faith and I am a young professional here in Wichita. I love all animals but dogs are my favorite! I have an 8 year old cocker spaniel and a new rescue girl who is 4 of my own so I love to take dogs on walk and let them explore the outside world. I have lots of love to go around so I am 110% okay with any breed of dog, any age or size! I will make sure they get lots of attention and cuddles while they are also being taken care of. I want to make sure that your pet has a great time while you are away and that they get the care they need! I also have grown up with cats so I am comfortable taking care of all types of pets! During the week I am predominantly free in the evenings and nights but can be flexible in the day time. I work during the week but I am able to make most times work within my schedule. I am all about the animals safety and comfort. My own dog is very anxious so I am comfortable with dogs who struggle in vetting situations and I am comfortable crating dogs as well. I want to make sure they are comfortable and everyone is safe
About: Hello! My name is Erin ODonnell and I am a 22 year old college student at Wichita State University. I am currently going into my last semester and am a nanny to an 2 year old girl twice a week. You can count on me to keep you updated with photos, messages, and real time check ins so you’ll always feel connected and confident that your pet is happy and well cared for. I currently have a very flexible schedule and am able to make time when needed! I have several available time slots in my day to tend to new responsibilities as needed. I have two dogs, a Great Pyrenees and an Australian Shepherd. Both are very high energy as they are still pretty young. I’ve taught them everything they know from sitting and shaking to walking good on a leash and catching a ball in the air and doing fun tricks. I’ve taught both animals to be gentle and loving to all living things from children to other animals. I have also always had cats throughout my life, and can give them lots of needed attention.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
