Darian was amazing with our Maverick! She goes above and beyond just making sure he gets his potty breaks and is fed. She took the time to interact with him and make him feel comfortable while we were away. Darian did a great job of keeping us updated on how Maverick was doing. Wish I could leave a 10 star rating!

About: I have had dogs my whole life. I currently have 2 dogs of my own. Zoey is 10 (that’s where I started counting my experience) and Griffin is 6. I love all kinds of dogs. In college, I did some dog sitting for relatives. I do not own any cats but do not mind looking out for cats as well! I work full time on the week days but available in the evenings to stop in for a walk or to play. I am available on the weekends any time to stop in and love on your furry family member! For boarding, I have a small yard but is fenced in by decorative panels. I am always outside when my dogs are out and I monitor them closely! My dogs enjoy playing with other dogs and your pets would feel right at home for the weekend! At your home, I will follow your guidelines in regards to feeding, walking, medicine, and any other routines you have set for your pets. I want your pet to feel safe and comfortable and you know their routine best. For boarding, I will follow any specific guidelines and your pups routine!

About: I have cared for a household of animals my whole life! The most I’ve had at once was 3 cats and 2 dogs. I am open to dog walking, cat care, senior care, care for when you are on vacation, and more! I am a teacher on summer break! I am open majority of the summer and pretty much any time! I am very excited to start this journey as I have always loved spending time with others’ pets! :) I will always follow your instructions! They are your fur babies and I understand certain routines! I am only open to caring at your home as mine is not available due to my own fur babies.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all kinds and sizes since I was a baby. Neighbors, friends, family, and others have relied on me to care for their dogs in all aspects. I love all kinds of dogs and always have! I’m pretty free anytime during the summer. I can most likely make anything work. With a heads-up I’m sure I can help you with whatever you need! I love walking dogs and dog sitting for people. I have walked dogs for years and many at one time! I’ve also dog sat many times. I’m strong and can handle a dog that pulls. And dogs love me and I can bond to them very easily.

About: For the last 15 years I've been the go to sitter for family, friends, and friend's friends! I love meeting new pets and getting to give them a little vacation of their own. I'm no stranger to medicating animals, and love a good training or play session. So far, I've taken care of geckos, cockatiels, hamsters, various fish, English bulldogs, German Shepards, maltases, golden doodles, pitties, various labs, and more! I am available for over nights with advance notice, but am presently accepting swing-by cares. I am currently working a flexible part-time schedule. Luckily, I live near the highway and have easy access to most of Wichita and surrounding areas! Due to a few fur babies of my own - I am unable to provide care in MY home. However, when in client's home I happily take care of minor chores while providing playtime, walks (when the lovey is a dog of course), and company. With kitties I will always spend a few extra hours company with them. All drop ins are a guaranteed 1 hour visit.

About: We are an energetic family that loves dogs and the outdoors! We know how hard it is to leave your pet so we will take care of them and treat them like one of the family. Our house is dog and kid friendly! We have a big fenced in backyard that is perfect for stick chasing, nose sniffing and tail wagging! Regarding Calendar Availability: Email me with your requested dates even if my calendar says I am not available. I may be able to accommodate your pet! We offer 24 hour supervision for your dogs! Kenny is at home during the day while the children and I are at school. In the evening, the kids and I are home with the pups! All of us love animals so you can be assured that your furry friend will receive lots of attention. Our furry family member, Caesar, is 10 years old. Caesar is good tempered and get a long great with other animals and children! We request that all older dogs visiting us are spayed or neutered to help ensure that everyone gets along! If they are puppies, it normally isn't a big deal. Please send me a message to discuss, we can always do a meet n greet to make sure the dogs get along before their stay. I have my dogs on an oral flea treatment. To help keep all dogs flea free, please have your dogs on a flea treatment prior to their stay. We do go outdoors and although I treat our yard in the spring and summer, I can't guarantee there will be no bugs present. We are happy to make your pet feel at home. They can sleep in their bed, crate, or on our bed. We follow the rules that you do at your home! We follow any diet or exercise restrictions. Let us know what is important to you and we will make it happen. Your dog will have plenty of space to run and play. Or they will have plenty of room to lounge around and rest. I will take them on a walk if they aren't as active because of age, weather, or if requested. In the case of a medical emergency, I live two blocks from a great veterinarian office. Here is a fun video the kids and made of our guests this holiday season! Just go to the YouTube website and type /watch?v=ZHqJj7qknYE after .com Kenny or I are home 24/7. I only work 1-2 days a week out of the home. We follow whatever routine is needed for your pet! We follow any rules you do and treat your pet like a pet of our family! We have a fenced in backyard and only accept one family at a time!

About: Hi, I’m Abby! Animals have always been a significant part of my life. I started – MyPetFriendsICT – as my very own local pet-sitting and homemade treat company in 2023 to help raise money for my competition dance team and colorguard activities, in addition to allowing me to pay my way for a nine-day educational trip to London & Paris, during my Senior year at Maize South High School. I am on my summer break after finishing my Freshman year at ESU before returning to Emporia for Sophomore year in mid-August, and I am doing all my dog-sitting back in the Wichita area. I am excited to offer my pet care services that ensure your furry friends are well cared for while you are away. My affordable rates already include Rover’s fees, so you know exactly what you’ll pay before you book—making it a win-win for both of us! No care is too short, and no vacation is too long! Whether you need a quick 15-minute drop-in for a potty break, a longer 30-45-minute visit for exercise and companionship, or overnight stays, I’m here to help. With seven+ years of pet-sitting experience across Wichita and Sedgwick County, I look forward to assisting you with your pet-sitting service needs this Summer! Growing up with multiple dogs instilled a deep love for canine companionship. I also have a strong affection for other animals, including cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, and reptiles. Currently, I have three dogs aged 6 to 13, all requiring daily medications, so I understand the importance of providing extra care. I am responsible and detail-oriented. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages—from playful puppies to senior dogs who need a bit of special attention. I will provide a loving and nurturing environment for your pets, whether for a day or an extended period. Your furry friends will feel right at home with me, allowing them to stay in the comfort of their own space—there is no need for a kennel! Most importantly, I love animals and can’t wait to meet yours! It's essential to maintain your pets' personalized schedules to help reduce stress and keep them safe, happy, and ready to cuddle when you return home. As a full-time student, I prioritize keeping my class and practice schedule up-to-date alongside my pet-sitting availability, ensuring you know when I’m available well in advance. I strive to be as flexible as your schedule requires. Living on campus, I genuinely enjoy taking quick breaks from my studies to care for your furry family members. Not only is it beneficial for their mental health, but it also brings me joy and relaxation! Your pet's care will always adhere to your requests and instructions! As a full-time college-aged student, I can only care for your pets in your home, but I promise to leave it just as I found it. I have experience staying in clients’ homes overnight for periods of up to several weeks, always ensuring I clean up after myself and your pets. I will care for your pet and keep them as safe as you would. I’ll love them as if they were my own, providing plenty of affection and attention. Additionally, I will follow any training, diet, or other instructions you leave for me. My goal is to make your life easier while prioritizing normalcy and maintaining your pets' routines.

About: I have had experience with every age of both dogs and cats from newborn to senior. I've bottle fed puppies and kittens, potty trained them, adopted them out, kept some, raised them through their adult life, and cared for them as seniors. I've also taken in many strays and fosters and nursed them back to health, whether it was some scratches or they just weren't doing good, and found good homes for them. I know how to bottle feed, ween, potty train, groom, give medication, clean/sanitize injuries, and much more. I also volunteer in humane societies so that has given me advice and techniques for helping earn animals trust, especially when they are being boarded in an unknown house. I work from home so I am almost always there, unless I have to run to the store or do some quick errands. If I happen to visit friends or family, go to a sit down restraunt, or do anything else that might take longer, it will never be for more than 2-3 hours. I do not kennel unless necessary or if requested (during feedings, if I have to run somewhere, in emergencies, ect.), so they will have free reign otherwise. If they have a feeding schedule, great, if not, I'll make sure the bowls always full. Fresh water is always available in multiple locations. I don't have a fence so dogs will always be leashed going outside and will be taken whenever they want to or every couple hours. Cats litter boxes are spot cleaned once a day, and switched once a week or when needed if they will be staying for longer. My golden rule is treat others how you want to be treated, and that extends to animals aswell. I don't yell, ignore, or force anything to do something that isn't necessary. Obviously no one wants to take medication, but if they have to, I'll be as quick and careful giving it as I can.

About: I’ve had a dog most of my life, but I’ve owned Cavaliers for 15 years. I’ve cared for multiple dogs (and cats) at one time. I prefer to care for dogs in your home. I can also care for fish, chickens and do general housekeeping. I reside in El Dorado, but for the last year, I have been substitute teaching in the Wichita metro area. Therefore, I do have some flexibility in my schedule at this point. I’m able to do potty runs during the day provided the distance allows it. I prefer to care for pets in my client’s home so that the dogs are used to their normal environment and routine. If needed, I can care for a single small-medium sized dog in my home, although the dog must be comfortable being on a leash as I do not have a fenced yard. Also, I am not a smoker or drinker.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Valley Center stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Valley Center. On Rover:

  • 97% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 92% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
