“She is wonderful! I was going out of state so I was a little nervous- but she is amazing at what she does. She suggested a meet and greet with dogs beforehand which was an excellent idea. Martina- thank you again!”

“Megan and her family were really great with our baby girl Sage. She has anxiety, but they made her feel comfortable while we were gone for 5 days. She sent us plenty of photos and videos and always kept us updated. And Sage made some new fur Friends. We will most certainly be booking again. Thanks Megan!”

“Kathleen is truly a gem! I cannot recommend Kathleen enough as a dog-sitter. From the moment we met, I felt completely at ease leaving my fur baby in her care. She’s reliable, caring, and genuinely loves animals—which shows in every interaction. Kathleen took the time to get to know my dog’s personality, quirks, and routines, and kept me updated with adorable photos and messages while I was away.”

“Our dog had a great time staying at Tammy‘s. He even came home tired, which never happens. She was very responsive and sent updates and pictures. Boomer was played with and walked and just taken great care of. You can tell how much Tammy cares for the animals. She watches. We would love to be a repeat Customer.”

“Jaime & Anthony took incredible care of Marlin! She looked so happy in all the photos they sent. They treated my pet like their own, and gave her the love and care she needed while I was out of town. I definitely recommend them!”

“Julie and Kenny were awesome! They took the best care of my dog and she loved it there! They sent messages and pictures of her. My dog felt right at home in their place and they treated her like one of the family. She even slept with them at night in their bed! I will definitely have them watch Daisy again! :)”

“Amber and Dane were great with our pup Bogey. We introduced her to their dogs and they got along great. Really nice dog accommodations and backyard space with covered area. They were flexible with pick up/drop off, even stayed up late when our flight was delayed so we could pick up. She was nice and tuckered out after a few days of playing. Will definitely use them again!”

“Nicholas was an absolute blessing! He accepted watching Buffy on very short notice and went above and beyond from start to finish. He made sure Buffy was well cared for by taking her on walks, giving her plenty of attention, and keeping us updated with constant texts, photos, and videos. He even put an AirTag on Buffy while we were away, which gave us even more peace of mind. This was our first time using the app, and Nicholas exceeded every expectation. We never had to worry about Buffy for a second because we knew she was in great hands. Thank you for everything, Nicholas! If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. We will definitely book with you again!”

About: I have owned and raised dogs since I was a teenager. I have raised many different breeds from Goldendoodles to pit bulls. I currently have 5 dogs that I have rescued. They are all with my fiancé in Texas so no need to worry about your dogs getting along with mine. I am currently active duty but I am on shore duty so I don’t spend a lot of hours in the office. A normal day is around 3 hours and a long day is around 5. Weekends are almost always off. I have a completely fenced in property. I bought the house for all of my 5 dogs but they have since gone to live with my fiancé in Texas. I have no furniture or bed rules. They can hang out or sleep with me anywhere I am. I treat dogs as family and I want them to be just as comfortable as me.
“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

“Beth was fantastic with our Goldendoodle, Remington! He and her dog Chloe became fast friends, and we loved getting daily photo updates. It was clear he was happy and well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter—highly recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Teddy had a blast! Michelle gave me frequent updates which made me a lot more comfortable leaving my baby. She. even called to check on him the next day. Great experience! ”
“Exceptional! Super communicative and clearly took care of Hanzo like he was their own. Incredibly happy with how well they took care of him! Will absolutely book again!”

“My pup had the time of his life!! Genevie made my vacay so much more relaxing by knowing that my pup was being loved and cared for the same as I do at home. She provided many updates which put my mind at ease and really gave top notch service. I will certainly be using her again.”

“Lisa was great! I felt very comfortable during our meet and greet an my 17 month old pup made himself at home quick. This was my 1st experience using a sitter and this app an I am very pleased! He can be wild at times so the daily updates with photos were a plus.”

“We hired Kylie to take care of our babies for 10 days and I couldn’t be more pleased. I was very nervous as this was the first time leaving them in the hands of someone else for so long. She gave constant updates and took care of my babies just as she said she would. She was in constant communication and everything went smooth. She has no problem giving me pictures and updates. I will happily use her again in the future. If you’re looking for a reliable, knowledgeable, friendly sitter — Kylie is the one. Can’t thank her enough!”

About: I have had cats since I was about 6 years old and caring for them has always been a huge part of my life. Over the years, I have cared for cats with many different personalities, temperaments, and care needs. I have experience with kittens all the way to senior cats, including indoor cats, outdoor cats, and cats that are both indoor and outdoor. I understand that every cat is different. Some are playful and social while others need extra patience and a calm environment to feel comfortable. I am experienced with feeding routines, litter box cleaning, playtime, giving lots of attention, and making sure cats feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover with years of professional experience working in animal shelters and caring for animals of all personalities and needs. As a cat owner myself, I understand that every cat is unique—some love attention and playtime, while others prefer a calm, quiet presence and care on their own terms. I currently share my home with two cats, so I know how important it is to have someone reliable checking in while you're away. During visits, I'll make sure your cat has fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and plenty of attention, playtime, or cuddles if they want it. I'm also happy to provide updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you're gone. “Stephanie was always on time and very interactive with our kitties, sent daily photos, and is personable, pleasant and professional. It's been a pleasure dealing with her. Stephanie gave us peace of mind while we were away on vacation, and she was a great help to my elderly mother in feeding the cats and scooping the litter boxes. We would definitely book Stephanie again!”

About: I love dogs of all sizes and ages! My family recently lost our pitbull, Emma, who was 7 years old, so my mom has temporarily kidnapped my Chihuahua so the house doesn't feel so lonely. Now my house feels a little too quiet without her around. I am loving, caring, trustworthy, and responsible! Your pet is free to roam around the house with me, and I'll make sure they feel comfortable and at home. I enjoy taking dogs on walks, to dog parks, on car rides, to the beach, and anywhere they can have fun and enjoy themselves (with your permission, of course). I like to keep dog parents updated with pictures & texts throughout their pet's stay. I understand that every dog has their own personality and unique needs, and I am committed to giving them the very best care while providing you with peace of mind. I will make sure your pet feels welcomed, loved, and right at home here! I work from home, so I'll be with your doggie for most of the day. The only time they'll be home alone is when I run errands. I care for pets in a safe, loving home with a fenced yard where they can play and get fresh air. They are treated like my own. I follow their normal routines, including feeding, walks, and playtime. I also send regular updates with photos and messages.
“Michelle was great. She was ready for Daly to be dropped off. She kept me informed all day, with messages and photos. So I was totally at ease during the day. And she was ready to hand Daly back to me, with a summary of activities. I recommend her highly, and will gladly use her services again. Thanks, Michelle!”

About: **Work from Home** **Please message if you have more than 2 dogs for special pricing** I am very much a helicopter mom to all of my fur babies. I will care for yours the exact same as I would my own. Being someone you can trust with your family member while you are at work or away from home is my goal. I have fostered for a trusted animal rescue and screened for potential adopters as well! I work from home so I will have plenty of time to go on walks, play and let them out for potty breaks. I make sure your pup stays on their “at home” schedule to keep them comfy and relaxed during their stay. I have a fenced in yard and a clean home with nothing laying around on the floors. Your baby will have their own space (with or without crate) and will be cared for like they are my own.
About: Hi! I've been operating on Rover for about 5 years now! I've had dogs for as long as I can remember and love being around them. I have experience with all sizes of dogs from Papillons to German Shepards. I am accepting of all breeds, sizes and ages. I've had several dogs with allergies and other health issues, so I am experienced in giving medications, applying any topicals, and noticing any developing symptoms. I also have lots of experience with cats and even have one of my own with medical issues, so I would love to do drop ins for your feline friends! I am currently a student at Eastern Virginia Medical School and am in my last year so my schedule can be somewhat variable. However for the next few months I will be available for mid-day walks/cat visits! I have a 7 year old Pit Bull Terrier that absolutely loves all other animals and can adjust his play style according to other dogs sizes. I also have a small fenced in outdoor patio where your dogs can relax outside with some sun in between walks. I live alone so there won't be too much stimulation from others, and there's plenty of space for your pup to take some time to their selves if needed.
About: Hello! I come to Rover with over 40 years of experience caring for pets of all kinds. I’ve spent my entire life around animals, and for over 30 years (beginning as a volunteer at age 14 with my local wildlife museum), I’ve worked hands-on with animals in a variety of settings. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I truly love and feel deeply connected to. Every pet has their own personality, routines, and little quirks, and taking the time to understand what makes each one feel safe, comfortable, and happy is what makes me an exceptional pet sitter. Whether it’s keeping up with your furry family member's familiar routines (such as going for walks, play, and mealtimes) or simply offering calm companionship in whatever form that takes, I cater to each pet individually so they feel as at ease as possible while you’re away. My background in nursing makes me comfortable administering most medications—including pills, injections, and specialized treatments—with confidence and ease. I always follow your care instructions and often take pictures or videos at our meet-and-greet to refer back to later as well. (I can also do more than one meet-and-greet if necessary for an additional cost based on time and driving distance.) In addition to practical care, I bring a grounded, gentle presence and am certified in animal Reiki, which can be especially comforting for anxious or high-energy pets. I also treat your home with the same respect and care I give your pet so that you can return to a calm, tidy space and a happy companion. I currently have a very flexible schedule that can be adapted to a variety of needs, including caring for birds, rodents, reptiles, and more, ensuring I can meet your pet's unique needs. I hope I get the opportunity to meet with you and your pet in person and see if we might make a good fit! I am not currently working outside the home, apart from Rover, and do not accept other jobs while I am caring for your pet (s). When you book me as your sitter I can guarantee that your pet will have my undivided attention the whole stay. Earning your pets trust and ensuring they are always safe, (both inside the home and outside on walls, etc.), is my top priority as a pet sitter. I follow the rules you put into place for their care and will always contact you should there be any concerns. (Thankfully there rarely are!)

About: I started working as a vet tech at 17 and have two years of boarding experience at a veterinary hospital, well versed in schedules and procedures including medication and special needs. Currently working but flexible schedule, willing to work with your needs! Older/less active dogs preferred but happy to play with a puppy when so necessary. I worked directly beneath the boarding manager and trained new staff in observation, care schedules, and proper safety protocols. I also form bonds of trust with any animal I’m working with to ensure their and my comfort.
About: I changed the direction my life was going and found the REASON was Animal Care. I began volunteering at 2 local Humane Societies in 2013. Very shortly thereafter became employed at both Societies = working 7 days a week with animals. I adopted my first 2 pets (torti cats named Cali & Ava) in the Fall of 2013. Adopted a 3rd torti cat in the Spring of 2014 (named Hallie B). I adopted a chihuahua in the Fall of 2016 (named Clara my grandmother’s name). With the exception of Hallie B they have all crossed the Rainbow Bridge. The 1st in December 2020 then June 2021 and most recently in May of this year :-( 🐾🐾🐾 They were adopted as Seniors. They were the best. After 4 years of Humane Society work I changed direction again in 2017 to a more professional aspect of Animal Care becoming employed at a Veterinary Hospital as a Kennel Attendant for over 7 years. I have performed a number of cat drop-ins around the Gloucester area for various residents affiliated with the Humane Society. One such assignment lasted for almost two months while the cat’s owners traveled to Florida for the winter. I currently work (outside of Animal Care) OVERNIGHT 40 hours WEDNESDAY thru SATURDAY. Those days I am usually available for Animal Care from 8am to 2pm. Sunday thru Tuesday I am totally available. There is some flexibility with my overnight work and the possibility of a little accommodation for Animal Care. I also have to spare some time for my own cat’s care. Quality. Compassionate. Care. is what I provide pets. I want them to have the creature comforts that make them feel all warm and comfy and content.
“My boys love getting out of the house while I work during the week. Miranda is great about finding time within her schedule to come to my home once or twice a week to walk both of my dogs. Both of my dogs have very different personality and she is patient and kind to both of them.”

About: I have five years of pet-sitting and house-sitting experience as a form of income, but I have been a pet owner and lover of animals for my entire life! Friends, neighbors, and colleagues have hired me by word of mouth, so pleased with the level of care I provide to their home and/or fur-baby. I currently work full-time, Mon-Fri with late afternoon (starting at 3pm) and full weekend availability. I have two cats that I love and care for with all my heart. While I make coffee, I obey their need for a morning treat and roll up the window blinds so they can watch the birds as the sun rises. Our morning routine. I go to work, come home, and give them all of my attention. I care for my clients’ pets in their preferred way, with whatever is relayed to me. Then I always add a little extra love and care. I make sure to know any allergies, places or animals to avoid on walks, and preferred discipline strategies. When I am house-sitting, I follow the instructions handed to me while being sure to make it seem as though I was never there upon my departure. Clean, cozy, and better than when you left it.

“Jasmine picked River up for their walk at the park for the second day. Once he came home he crashed hard again. He had such a good time. Jasmine was very attentive to River and it showed in his reaction.”

About: I have been taking car of all kinds of dogs for years. I've watched dogs from Labrador puppies to senior German Shepards. I've owned dogs my whole life and I've always had a special bond with them. Dogs usually gravitate towards me because I am a very fun and light hearted person. My friends often refer to me as a Disney princess because of how I am with animals. I belive all animals need love and respect and I always do my best to make them feel safe and loved. I am a nanny for a mother of three during the day but I am usually only needed two or three days a week so my weekends are completely free. Even days when I watch my kids I am off by 3pm and can spend evenings with the pets. I have several dogs of my own so my house is fully equipped with w fenced in yard and my house is pet safe. In regards to a clients home I would of course check what the client has in place but as a pet owner I am also aware pets can be sneaky and love to get into mischief. I am always checking on clients pets making sure they are safe and not getting into things they shouldn't. I am also certified in pet cpr and massage therapy incase a pet does get into distress or if they need some other help with pain. Over all my priority is always the health and safety of my client beloved pets.

“Alyssa was flexible with our crazy Navy scheduling and constantly sent funny/cute pictures of our pup while she let him out around lunch. Would highly recommend!! She will love your pup as much as you do!!”

“Vivian is the sweetest! My puppy loves her, and greets her like family when they met. She is very prompt and extra accommodating when a few hickups came up. Loved getting her review and rover card details from their walks.”

“Maria & Matthew are the absolute best! We’ve used them twice and each time it gets better! Our dog loves his mini vaca at their house with his doggie friends. Their communication is incredible! Maria and Matthew are our go to sitters!”

“She is an amazing person. She is very responsible, you can get quick responses, and she frequently sends photos. I felt completely at ease and trusted her fully while my dog was with them. Thank you so much — we hope to see you again very soon.”
