About: I’ve grown up surrounded by and caring for all kind of animals (even monkeys). I intentionally only accept one additional dog at a time so each pet receives plenty of supervision and individualized care I have one dog, Ollie, that loves to play and keep every guest company. I am in a two story duplex with a small unfenced yard, but have an outdoor lead for potty breaks and plenty of areas for walking in my neighborhood. If necessary, for separation/calm down time, I have a baby gate available that can break up my kitchen and living room and I also have a spare room upstairs. Recently I dropped in for a friend’s 2 cats, even the shy one eventually warmed up to me! They required medication in their food so she left detailed, neatly handwritten notes on the table, which helped a lot! Known for my positive and caring energy as a music therapist (who works alongside a pet therapist!) and music teacher, and with a mom with a college degree in animal science, I have a passion for animals in general. She is now dating a farmer and we now have a baby cow named clover who I help take care of occasionally on Sundays. Generally I am available in the middle of the day most days of the week for one-off visits. My boyfriend is a biologist and also has a small dog who I walk frequently in the mornings and at midnight (she’s a night owl like us!) Available to do drop-ins at your home within 45 mins of Montville - please message me at least one week before your trip to solidify the booking! Please be kind, respectful, and professional in your requests - I do not take last minute visits but would love to help you out with your furry friend. Not a veterinarian, just an animal lover with a lot of compassion!! One of my favorite activities is running, I can always walk or run with your pet, or if you prefer us to lounge, I have lots of great pet-friendly shows on our nice TV. I love driving so I’m happy to drive to you if it’s further away - as I am regularly back and forth between Westerly, RI and Uncasville, CT. Outside of teaching in a formal studio, I’ve worked in client’s homes for therapy-related meetings as well as for music lessons - and believe it or not often times there are pets who love to sing along to the music! I usually stay home in the morning so I can easily take care of your pet between 7 am and 2 pm. I used to have an office job but found it too sedentary and draining; I discovered I thrive in outdoor and home environments. I’m excited to enter this new chapter and care for animals! I have a partially fenced yard so I would generally take pets out on a leash but it is a non-busy road and very safe - the lawn is freshly mowed and we have a playground your dog can weave around! I also have a cute little neighborhood that we can circle around that is far from the highway and if your pet loved car rides, we can always go to the park and get ice cream! Occasionally our neighbor’s dog likes to come over unsolicited but he is always very gentle and friendly! My cats are also used to my mom’s boyfriend’s rambunctious dogs coming in and out from time to time and we have plenty of doors and rooms in the house and baby gates if we ever needed to keep pets separate! We also have a spare pet bed if needed that was gifted to us - we always want to make sure your pet is comfortable sleeping at night!

About: I've lived with dogs nearly my whole life, and cats for half of it. I have taken care of said pets for years and been an in-family pet sitter on numerous occasions. My mother frequently cares for other pets through apps like this/through friends, and I assist her with that when needed. At the moment, I care for my mother's pets when she leaves town for any length of time (1 small/medium dog, 1 cat). Otherwise, I'm a free agent. Some of the services listed on the app have the potential to overlap (such as a visit and a walk), I don't consider the price to be totally compounding, just let me know and we can figure out what works best. I'd imagine this is on a situational basis. I'll pet/feed/walk them and am able to follow directions as well as any human, should your pet require specific, or unique, handling. I can usually read pet body language pretty well, but have no specific training in it. If there are any areas of confusion for me, I'll be sure to ask questions to make sure your pet is cared for properly.

“Crystal was absolutely wonderful looking after our dog over the Christmas period. She sent regular updates and photos/videos, which really kept our minds at ease while we were away. Earlier in the year, our dog spent three days at a kennel and struggled quite a bit, so we were understandably anxious about leaving him again. The difference with Crystal was night and day. He spent seven nights in a loving home environment, had so much fun with the other dogs, and received genuine care and attention from Crystal and her family. “Tina is AWESOME! We boarded our special needs, almost blind senior shih tzu with her last night and everything went great. Tina is responsive, very easy to work with, super attentive to our little girl and clearly has a great deal of experience with all kinds of dogs. Our pup is a rescue that had been abandoned just over a year ago, so she is quite anxious and has separation anxiety. We always worry about how things will go when we leave her... Tina was fantastic with her!!! She sent regular text updates and adorable photos to make us feel at ease. “I was extremely nervous leaving our 1 year old with someone other than my family as she hasn't left us since we adopted last July. However, my fears were calmed leaving Demi with Nuno. My husband had a great meet and greet and then she stayed with Nuno for a couple nights. Nuno has a wonderful friendly dog, Bisca, and a large yard for the dogs to play.
