“Emily and Christine were great with Sherlock. They sent me photos of him playing with their dog, sleeping in their daughter’s room, going on walks, and generally having a blast. I’ve already booked them to take care of him again in a few weeks for an upcoming trip.”

“Sangeetha is just the best! She knows dogs and is gentle, consistent and considerate of both dogs and people. She and her spouse take such great care and I never worry when my Max is staying there!”

“My go-to sitter. My pup always has a great time hanging out with Sirius and Billie. Trey keeps me up-to-date and sends me pics and videos to show all the fun she’s having and put my mind at ease. Would absolutely recommend as a caring place to send their pup.”
“Juliana was truly exceptional. I received thoughtful daily updates with pictures, which made such a difference while I was away. My dog was clearly comfortable, happy, and well looked after. Reliable, caring, and professional— I would absolutely book again.”

“This was my first time leaving my dog, Aldo, for such a long period, so I was honestly a bit nervous at first. The first couple of days were the hardest for me, and I found myself checking in often. Donte was very understanding and kept me updated, which really helped. After the first few days, I started receiving regular videos, pictures, and even video calls, and that made a huge difference. I could see Aldo was not just okay, he was actually having a great time. He’s normally the only dog at home, but during his stay, he had other dogs to interact with and played and enjoyed himself. It honestly felt like he was the one on vacation, not me. Aldo is a 12-year-old senior dog and can be a picky eater, so I was concerned about how he would adjust. Donte was very patient with him and made sure he was comfortable. When I picked him up, Aldo was completely himself, calm, normal, and clearly well taken care of. That meant a lot to me. I also really appreciated the home environment. There were always people around, which helped Aldo feel more at ease since he’s used to that at home. Overall, I’m very grateful for the care and attention Aldo received. You can tell Donte genuinely cares about the dogs he watches. I would definitely trust him again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter.”

“This is the fourth time that Parker stayed with Dolly and her family. Each time he is there he comes back exhausted because he’s had such a good time with Dolly three boys. The entire family love him and I feel very worry free when he is there. It’s like Parker found himself a second family!”

“Yuiko is excellent with dogs! I’d highly recommend. I left my 2 year old lab with her for 4 days and did not worry once. She is great at communicating and providing updates via pictures and messages. Bodhi had a great time hanging with the other dogs!”

“Chrissy is a wonderful Rover Sitter, I highly recommend her services. She and her daughter Stephanie cared for my dog Lula as they would their own dog, Lula loved them and felt right at home. Chrissy sent regular updates , photos and videos which were much appreciated. Lula will be returning for her second visit next month!”

“Rachel was amazing with Charlie and Gus. She sent lots of pictures and check in texts. They were happy and tired when they came home! I would absolutely have Charlie and Gus stay with Rachel again.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog received! Craig was absolutely amazing—attentive, kind, and clearly a true animal lover. From the start, communication was excellent. He asked all the right questions about our dog’s routine, preferences, and quirks, which immediately put us at ease. While we were away, he sent photos of how happy our dog was. It was clear our pup was getting lots of attention, exercise, and love. Craig is a true professional. We highly recommend Craig to anyone looking for reliable, compassionate pet care. We’ll definitely be booking again!”

“Marcus was great!! She gave Lola the one on one attention that she needed!! Marci is local to me and has years of experience with animals. I wouldn't hesitate to use her in the future!! Thank u again!!”

“First time using Rover app and we truly are so thankful to Melissa B. and her whole family! From the meet and greet,to the big day (our first time having someone care for our pup), to the pick up, Melissa (+her family) were wonderful! Our pup showed comfort during the get to know you visit, Melissa was knowledgeable about dogs, asked great questions that put me at ease. During the visit she shared brief clear updates (w/pictures) that gave us peace of mind. Best of all when we picked up our pup it was clear he was well cared for not only from Melissa's report, but how his items were prepared, and his demeanor. So thankful and happy to do it again and recommend!”

“Simone was absolutely amazing and so kind. My dog was immediately drawn to her and was so happy in all the update photos she sent. Will definitely recommend to anyone and will book again in the future.”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life! I grew up with two dogs and a cat, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Now that I’ve moved out on my own, I really miss having pets around and would love the opportunity to spend time with yours! I know how much pets mean to their families, and I’ll treat your furry family members with the same love, patience, and attention I would give my own. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, cuddling, or simply keeping them company, I want to make sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. I’m excited to meet new furry friends and help give pet parents peace of mind knowing their pets are in loving hands. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I work a hybrid schedule. I’m in office Tuesday - Thursday and home Friday - Monday. I’m in office for 8 hours, but able to come home for an hour in the middle of the day. I live in a pet friendly apartment that has its own fenced in dog park as well as off leash run area. It also has plenty of walking trails for nice long walks.
“Loved her! She kept me up to date daily with a photo, video, or comments regarding my dog, Sadie. She was attentive to any concerns I had in the beginning as my dog has food allergies, and she assured me she would follow my instructions regarding her care completely. I will be using her again!”

“Gregory watched our mini golden for 6 days and was super communicative keeping us updated on how she was adjusting and sending lots of pictures. She had a great time”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Upper Providence
Lori watched our dog, Bebe, while we were away on vacation and she did a wonderful job. Bebe can take a bit to warm up to someone new, and Lori did a great job quickly earning her trust! She lives in a quiet area with a fenced-in yard, which was perfect for allowing Bebe to relax. She also sent daily updates with great photos!

As always, our Willa had another wonderful stay with Sarah and her sweet family. We genuinely love having our pup with them as it feels as if we were just dropping her off with extended family who will love on her and enjoy having her around. Thank you Sarah and fam. So blessed to have found you!

Our 2 year old mini golden doodle, Pepper, had a lovely stay with Leah and her mini golden doodle, Ollie. Leah communicated frequently and provided great updates. We knew Pepper was doing well the whole time, and it was nice knowing Pepper had another dog to hang out with. Two walks a day and a fenced in backyard with exceptional care from Leah, and another dog was a perfect situation for our energetic pup. 11 out of 10!

We had a great first experience boarding our dog at Yufan’s house. My dogs absolutely loved him and felt comfortable right away. He was also very convenient and flexible when I needed to add extra days to the stay. I really appreciated how accommodating and caring he was. Highly recommend!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Upper Providence home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Upper Providence.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Upper Providence sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
