“Our puppy Junebug had her first ever daycare experience with Shelly, and she had a blast! She got to play with another puppy for most of the day, and I can tell she had fun by how tired she is today. Shelly has such a great setup, and she clearly loves and takes such great care of the dogs that are boarding and doing daycare with her. We will definitely be bringing Junebug back for more romps at Shelly's farm! We are more than happy with our experience, as owners and as Junebug has shown after a day with Shelly and company.”

About: Although I'm new to Rover I have been dog sitting for years, now that I'm retired and have too much free time on my hands I decided to bump it up a notch. I love dogs and my papillon is getting up there in age and lost her sister and this is a great way to give her company and a buddy. I am retired and home more than away. Weather permitting I spend most of my time enjoying the outdoors playing and working in my yard. I have two beautiful landscaped fully fenced acres, lots of room for your fur babies to run and play. My home is well set up for extra paws. I have one senior papillon who could use a buddy.
“Alex and his family have been amazing! Their property is the perfect place for dogs to play! It's easy to see how much they love dogs with how they take care for all their needs. Alex is very accommodating, communication is fantastic and I get to watch my little girl play via Instagram and the many videos that are posted there. I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

“Major loves going to Doggie daycare. And working long hours as a nurse it is settling knowing I have someone who I can trust to look after him. He’s a Pomsky with a lot of energy. So when I get off a shift and take him home he is ready for bed from playing so much with other dogs at daycare. I would highly recommend Hannah!”

“Cassie is an exceptional dog sitter who goes above and beyond when caring for my pup Arlo. She has great communication and is always sending updates throughout the day with with photos and videos. She also does training and is very available to answer any questions I have. I would definitely recommend Cassie when looking for someone to care for your dog!”

“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kelsi! From day one, it was clear how genuinely caring, patient, and attentive she is with my puppy Lucy. She treats her like her own, making sure she’s safe, happy, well-exercised, and loved. I always receive great updates and photos, which gives me total peace of mind knowing Lucy is in such good hands. Her reliability, communication, and obvious love for dogs truly sets her apart. I am so grateful to have found someone I trust completely and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for exceptional care for their dog—especially puppies!”

About: I’m a lifelong animal lover, having cats growing up and later volunteering with dogs at rescue orgs. My time as a training class assistant for Puppy Manners and New Dog Basics at the San Francisco SPCA gave me valuable skills in positive reinforcement training, socialization, and handling dogs of all temperaments. Beyond dogs and cats, I also have experience with horses, having owned and leased several. I’m comfortable with feeding, turnout, mucking stalls, brushing, and general equine care, making me a well-rounded caregiver for multi-pet households. What sets me apart is my ability to care for pets at all life stages—from energetic puppies learning the ropes to senior pets needing extra patience and comfort. Whether it’s structured walks, reinforcing good manners, or providing a calm and loving presence, I tailor my care to each pet’s unique needs. With a deep understanding of pet behavior across species and a passion for ensuring their happiness and well-being, I go beyond basic care to provide engaging, enriching, and compassionate pet companionship. After our Husky mix’s TPLO surgery in Fall 2024, I’ve decided to make pet care my main focus. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and this shift allows me to dedicate my time and energy to providing top-quality care for pets in my community. With a flexible schedule, I’m available for daily walks, drop-in visits, overnight stays, and customized care based on each pet’s needs. Whether it’s a midday walk, feeding and playtime, or extra TLC for pets recovering from surgery, I tailor my services to fit both routine and special care requirements. My experience with dogs, cats, and even horses means I’m comfortable handling a variety of schedules—from structured training sessions to free-spirited outdoor adventures. No matter the time of day, I ensure pets get the attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or my clients’ homes. At my home, we have a fully fenced yard, providing a secure and spacious area for dogs to play and explore. Your pup will also have built-in companionship with our two friendly dogs, ensuring plenty of socialization and fun. For exercise and enrichment, we have scenic trails nearby, perfect for peaceful walks in the woods—giving dogs a chance to sniff, explore, and enjoy the great outdoors. In my clients’ homes, I respect each pet’s unique routine and environment, providing attentive, reliable, and compassionate care. Whether it’s reinforcing training, maintaining feeding schedules, or ensuring a calm presence while you're away, I treat every pet like they’re my own. No matter the setting, I focus on creating a safe, stress-free, and enriching experience for pets—so you can have peace of mind knowing they’re in loving hands.
About: I am a lifelong animal lover who currently shares my home with a beloved dog and three wonderful cats. My dog is truly my child, and I ensure he thrives through a strict routine of timely feedings, regular walks, and plenty of interactive play throughout the day. This personal commitment to my own pets' happiness and health is exactly what I bring to every animal I care for. What sets me apart is my experience with specialized care; I currently look after a special-needs cat, which includes performing daily eye treatments. I am comfortable following complex care instructions and providing the patient, attentive medical support that senior pets or those with health challenges require. Whether your pet needs high-energy exercise or gentle, specialized attention, I will treat them with the same love and devotion I give my own family. My daily routine is entirely structured around my pets. We start the day at a sharp 8:00 AM for morning breakfast and plenty of outside time. Because I work from home with a flexible schedule, your pet will receive constant companionship, frequent potty breaks, and interactive play throughout the day. Our evenings are calm and cozy, ending with soft paw nudges for bedtime. Whether your pet needs a strict medication schedule or just someone to be there for afternoon naps, I have the time and dedication to make them feel right at home. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I provide a secure environment with a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor play. To give you peace of mind, I am happy to send frequent photo and video updates throughout the day so you can see how much fun they are having. For walks, I utilize multiple leashes and harnesses to ensure every outing is secure and controlled. Whether in my home or yours, I maintain a vigilant eye and follow all specific care instructions to keep your furry family member happy and safe.

“Awesome experience! Susie was super quick to respond and very flexible with my timing. She sent pictures with updates and kept me informed while I was gone. My dog was happy and tired when I picked him up after the day.”

“Kristopher was able to take Rocket last minute for a day session. Rocket had a fabulous time playing with so many new dogs and was really relaxed for the next few days after we got home. Thank you, Kristopher!”

“This was our first time using Rover. We had an event and we connected with Melodie because of her location nearby. Melodie was very quick to respond and suggested a meet and greet prior to the day of the sitting.our little dog met her sweetie and seemed to get along right off the bat. Melody prefers small dogs, which is great for us. She has a nice set up and is very caring and we will use her again!”

About: I’ve been rescuing animals for over 22 years-I’ve cared for big, slobbery Rottweilers to tiny, judgmental cats, fish who pretend not to notice me, and guinea pigs that somehow eat like linebackers. I’ve handled rabbits with attitude, a special needs Yorkie who runs the house, and our Texas rescue Lucy—who I’m pretty sure thinks she rescued me. I have a designated bedroom with a ring camera just for my furry friends! We can keep the pets isolated in their own space the entire time, or they can have free roaming of the house. Options for those pets who need less sensory and more quiet and privacy. I work full-time at a hospital Monday through Friday, so my availability for more hands-on, all-day care is best on weekends. During the week, I’m still happy to offer overnight stays, I just like to mention that-because on weekdays, there may be up to an eight-hour stretch without potty breaks while I’m at work. I live in a fantastic walking neighborhood and can happily meet you in yours or bring them to mine. Can never get too much exercise in! Plus, my big fully fenced in yard is at their disposal.
“Blessed finally someone I can trust Eileen and Rich found me on Rover. They were looking for a sitter for there pup as their beloved long time sitter had moved. Rich came to my place with piglet for meet and greet with my 3 smalls . He shared with me how much anxiety he was having trying to find the exact right fit for piglet. I have 3 dogs. Doyle is my fear dog (He has come ALONG ways in 5 short years. He immediately ran up to Rich and put his feet on his legs so he could pet him. They watched the pack for me one day and it was the first time I had ever left Doyle with anyone and even tho I was a little nervous that Doyle would try to escape to come find me I knew they would be watching him like a hawk. Just a short time later I received a photo from Eileen comfy on the couch with all the dogs (even Doyle!) Laying on her and snuggling. But honestly, I already knew on my heart that they would care and lovey dogs almost as much me by the number of dog sitters they interviewed and even coming back for a second meet and greet just to make sure everything was going to work out. I will also add that piglet is very well behaved has excellent social skills , and over all just a well balanced dog. Says a lot about her parents! I know once you see how well cared and loved your pet is there you will not to leave them with anyone else! I'm so grateful our paths crossed and I can now feel comfortable leaving my littles when momma needs some me time! Thank you Rich and Eileen!”

“Ava is an amazing host! This was Dexter's second time with her, although a much shorter stay, Dexter came back home wiped out from all of the playing. I feel very comfortable whenever Dexter's over there playing because I know he's getting love and attention! Highly recommended.”

“What a lovely experience. I feel like my dog was cherished, which is a wonderful feeling to get from a dog sitter. I'd happily let Anastasia watch Tucker anytime and would absolutely recommend her if you're looking for a sitter.”

About: Everyone needs an aunt nearby to check on their dog or care for their dog when you're away. I will spoil your pup with love and attention like I do with my German Shorthair Pointer! I work from home and have the flexibility to take your pup for a walk or stop by for a quick belly rub and potty break. And, of course, a little playtime! I love all breeds and sizes and respect each dog’s individual personality and needs. I can bring my friendly dog, Oscar, along for some play and socializing or come solo to give all my attention to yours! My goal is to help you worry less about your dog while your away from home to give your dog what they need. I work full time from home. My 1/3 acre lot is wonderful for active dogs like our GSP Oscar. Pups who prefer to lounge and snuggle have a spot in my office on the bed next to my desk. Oscar loves dogs of all sizes and so do I! Whether you need daycare or someone to love your pup while you’re away overnight, my lifestyle and home is ideal! I have a 1/3 acre fully fenced yard with lots of room to run! I allow the dogs on the couch and the bed in my office. Oscar is fully vaccinated and takes monthly Simparica. I regularly pick up poop in the yard. My neighborhood is quiet and safe. I am skilled at walking two big dogs at the same time and often do during my lunch break.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 1,645 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Upper Highland. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Upper Highland commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OR ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 1,645 sitters in Upper Highland, 89% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
