“Ebony was so kind and helpful throughout my dog baby's visit. She sent me tons of photos and updates while she had my baby. Baby(my dog) was well taken care of threwout her stay with Ebony. I'm so grateful for her, as she took my booking last minute since I had an unexpected family emergency come up. I will definitely use Ebony again in the future seeing as how amazingly she took care of what I consider a family member to me.”

“Angela was great! She was very patient & gentle with my anxious dog during the meet & greet, so I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her! They seemed to get along great during the stay. Angela was good about sending pics & communicating. Would hire again!!”

About: I’ve had dogs since forever, I love mine more than anything. My experiences dog sitting and cat sitting range from my neighbors and family to taking care of animals on my uncles farm. I love meeting people’s pets so it would be my pleasure to meet more!! My dog Ruby is 15 years old and I love her to death, I can’t imagine her being alone all day. I have a dog, Ruby, at home and she’s almost 15, I take care of her full time. She needs a bit more care since she’s old but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Ill let them out, take them on walks, play with them. I’ve had experience with both puppies and kittens. I love teaching them tricks and trying out new things with them.
“Chris is simply the best! You always want someone who will treat your pets with the same level of love and attention that you give them and he certainly delivers on that. He spent an entire day with our boy, on a holiday no less, while we were away on an important trip. He gave us detailed updates, sent us the most adorable pictures, and made us feel safe and comfortable with him handling both our beloved dog and our home. Chris is incredibly friendly, super understanding, and highly responsive. My husband kept saying "This guy is the real deal, he is really awesome" whenever Chris would send us updates. We will absolutely be having him back again and can't thank him enough for being himself and for being an excellent caretaker to our dog!”

About: With over 3 years of experience living with dogs and cats, I treat every pet like family. I offer a calm, trustworthy presence that keeps tails wagging. I’m a student so I’m usually studying at home with my Havanese! I maintain a feeding, grooming, exercise, and mental enrichment routine with my dog. I feed my dog 2x a day and walk her for 30 minutes in the morning. Since she’s crate trained, she enjoys lounging around her bed while I work. I can offer similar services but just let me know what you’re looking for.
“My cat took to Shari very quickly & she sent plenty of pictures & videos and general updates throughout her stay. I felt at ease knowing my cat was well taken care of and given plenty of attention. My house was exceptionally clean upon my return, which was hugely appreciated. Can’t wait to book Shari again.”

About: You’re a loving pet parent and you want someone who will care for your pets with the same care, attention, and reliability that you do. Whether you’re heading to work, out for the day, or away for the weekend, I’m here to provide dependable, compassionate care so you can relax knowing your pets are in good hands. While I may not have years of formal pet sitting experience, I bring years of hands on experience as a pet parent to two golden retrievers - one full of energy, and one a senior with special care needs. I’ve also frequently cared for friends and neighbors pets, providing everything from walks, playtime, and medication support. As a law enforcement and military spouse you can trust that your pets and your home will be safe and in great care. I understand how important your pets are to you, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’ll treat your pets like my own with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love. Being a self-employed mental health therapist and a stay at home dog mom means I have flexibility in my week to care for your pet. If you are requesting house sitting please know that this includes 2-3 drop-in visits and optional overnight stay. We can discuss individual needs and details about this at our meet and greet! While caring for your pet in your home I will follow your instructions closely to keep your pet’s routine as consistent as possible. I welcome you to share preferences for feeding schedules, walk times, playtime, administering medication, and other needs. Your pet will also receive plenty of positive attention and I will take care of any other details we discuss so you know that your pet is safe and happy when you are away.
“Dalvane is amazing! He stayed with our two elderly Havanese for two weeks. He was faced with some difficult issues with their not eating and pooping/peeing in the house. He handled them really well keeping us informed and working with the vet. He cleaned up after them and the house was immaculate when we returned. We can't say enough good things about Dalvane! He will be our go to for our boys in the future!”

About: I've had dogs the day I was born. Since moving away for college I haven't been able to get my own. I've worked at a pet shop and done animal photography. Dogs have been such a major part of my life since I was a baby. I miss them and need more in my life. I work part time. I'm available most week days in the morning and early afternoon. If you need someone to walk your dog while your at work I would be perfect. For walking your dogs or house sitting it would depend on what the client wants. I want to make sure that any animal I am helping to take care is comfortable around me. Ultimately the owners know their pets better than I do and I want to respect what they want.
“Michael was awesome! Took great care of our girl and kept us posted with pictures and messages. So glad we decided to have him stay in our home as our dog is older and we didn't want to disrupt her routines. Would highly recommend and plan to use again.”

“Devaney was amazing with our high energy/high anxiety pitty mix. We were so nervous to leave because last time when we didn’t have a sitter (just intermittent walker/feeder) she tore up the place with anxiety. Devaney sent me frequent updates and pictures all weekend and we even came home to a very clean apartment. She gave my cat lots of loving as well! 10/10 recommend and will be booking with her again!”

“I booked Christine for two nights of house sitting my dog and cat and she did a great job! She took the time to understand their routine and needs. Both my girls were instantly comfortable with her, she kept the house tidy, and she kept me updated throughout the day with pictures. I will be booking Christine again in the future and highly recommend her to look after your pets.”

“Alisa is such a pleasure to work with. She’s a true animal lover and is amazing with my shy girls. She’s super responsive and reliable. Can’t wait to work with her again!”

“Cindi did a wonderful job caring for my animal. She provides lots of pictures and videos on how my pet was doing throughout the stay. We had one day where it was hard to get ahold of but when I was able to she was extremely responsive to support my pet. I would recommend her for other owners to book her for a sit. You can tell she loves animals and will care for yours.”

“Alexis was amazing and the best pet sitter I’ve ever had! She went above and beyond to make sure my kitties were well taken care of, and they loved her! Can’t recommend Alexis enough!”
University District pet parents share their Rover experiences
Tea is a frequent house sitter for our highly anxious dog. Tea provides outstanding care and maintains consistent communication while we are out of town (and provides pics of our dog). Most importantly, our dog loves and trusts Tea, which is all any pet parent can ask for.

Sophie took great care of our boy Duke and our home while we were gone for a week! While we were gone, we had an issue with our garage making it hard for Sophie to get inside, and she went above and beyond to help us resolve the issue. We are so grateful to have a sitter we can always trust!

Aashna is the perfect sitter for my 4 year old Pom Gus. She’s very punctual , and I can tell from the pictures she sent that Gus was comfortable and happy around her. She followed his care instructions really well and communicated regularly. I would 100% use her again and I highly recommend her.

Andrea is a phenomenal dog sitter! She took care of my pup for a week and treated her like a princess the whole time. My dog has urinary incontinence and we recently switched her meds and were figuring out the new dosage. She was very patient and cleaned up after my pup had a few accidents during the week. Andrea gave us daily updates and pictures and even cleaned up the place and washed the bedsheets on the last day! I highly recommend her and will absolutely be reaching out to her for help again :)

Omega was absolutely amazing! She spent the night at our hotel watching Pixie while we were at our son's wedding. From the moment we met Omega it was love at first sight for both us and Pixie. She is just a sweetheart and made sure we felt at ease leaving Pixie with her. She was knowledgeable, professional and a total sweetheart to boot. She kept us up to date via text with Pixie, her eating, exercise water intake and of course shared a bunch of photos with us. It made enjoying our son's wedding so much easier knowing what excellent hands Pixie was in. I would recommend Omega whole-hardheartedly for any pet parent who wants the confidence that their baby is being taken care of by the best!

Riley took care of our three dogs and our cat for four nights. He did a great job! One of our dogs is quite Senior and takes some extra patience and support, and we're so grateful Riley was here for him. It's hard to leave them, but we felt very confident with Riley, and he gave us great peace of mind. He sent pictures and didn't hesitate to text me a question when he wasn't sure if something our old man was doing was normal for him. It was! But, I'm so glad he asked. Riley kept our home just as we left it, and we are especially glad to have found someone that was able to stay at our home while we were gone so our pets could have as much normalcy as possible. We highly recommend Riley if you are looking for excellent care for you pets!

We have two loud and energetic pups and Marti took great care of them while we were away. She provided excellent communication and updates. We also appreciate how responsive she was throughout the vetting and booking process. We will definitely use her in the future and recommend her to anyone.

audrey was a great caregiver for our two dogs! she was available on somewhat short notice for a holiday week, and for a puppy even! she communicated daily and we came home to very happy pups. the extra bonus was that the house was clean and mail was brought in too. thanks audrey!!
