Sociology student + cat lover!
I'm Esther! I've had cats for my whole life, grew up with them, so I know the way they operate. I'm patient and calm with all cats, including anxious, aggressive, sick, or dying cats (had a couple cats with chronic illnesses/health issues in the past). A few years ago my family adopted a very shy and scared tuxedo cat who hid for months, and now he crawls onto my lap and follows me around! I love hanging out with cats, and I just want to keep them happy, engaged, and healthy :)

I have no pets in Cleveland, but three cats at my family home in NYC that I take care of, when I'm in town. If they have social issues with each other, I can also manage fights, introductions, and some territorial behavior very well. I'm calm when I meet new animals, but I can keep them active with play and fun. I also have experience caring for ill and dying cats, so if a pet needs more specific care I am a quick and willing learner. I'm very tidy and attentive to detail, so I will be considerate when in your home.
Ratings and reviews
Esther took wonderful care of both my cat Oliver and my home while I was away on vacation. I came home to a happy cat and Esther kept me updated on him while I was away. I highly recommend her as a cat-house sitter and will definitely seek her out again when I travel.
Esther did a great job watching over our cat. I would definitely book with her in the future.
Calendar and availability
Schedule
I'm currently a university student who is off for summer break, so I'm available most days! I'm an early riser, but I'm equally able to take care of pets in the evening and overnight. When I don't walk, I take public transit, so if you're more than an hour away via bus I can't commit to regular care.
- Esther can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- If you have a cat, any type, size, age, or behavior is okay with me! Just let me know if they're prone to scratching so I can plan not to wear shorts lol, but again all cats are good with me! And if there happen to be any other sorts of animals sharing the home with the cat(s), I'm happy to take care of them!
