“I have 2 geriatric blue heelers with cardiac disease who take cardiac medications. I was very anxious to leave them. Aleona was a blessing! She was fantastic with my dogs. She was attentive to all their needs and mine. I received pictures every day (several times throughout the day). She gave me awesome updates as well. I highly recommend this young lady, she will not disappoint!”
“Regina is great! My puppies just love her and I highly recommend her! One of my pups is very skittish and he warmed right up to Regina and even ate his dinner for her. Thank you so much Regina for watching my pups! Sherry Seale”

“Kaylee is one of my favorite dog sitters! She took great care of my dog and kept me informed at all times. I trust her fully with my dog and I am so happy that I got a chance to have her as my sitter.”

About: With a strong foundation in canine handling and care developed over many years, complemented by personal experience as a pet owner. I am currently working part time with a small business dog groomer. I’m available for all overnights, but there is sometimes for drop in visits that I cannot come between 8 AM and 2 PM Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays and 11 AM till 2 PM on Saturdays. My current responsibilities include the dedicated care of two 8-month-old family puppies, and I am actively seeking opportunities to expand my practical experience with a diverse range of canines. I am dedicated to providing personalized canine care that aligns seamlessly with your dogs’ existing schedules and your specific instructions. My focus is on ensuring their physical health through appropriate exercise and mental stimulation, while also prioritizing their emotional well-being through positive reinforcement and affectionate interaction.

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was a little tot. From cats to dogs, I do it all. When leaving your pet with me I will make sure to take top tier care of your baby. As I know how nerve racking it can be to leave them when you’re away. I will send updates daily to give you a peace of mind that they are in good spirits. Look forward to meeting your fur baby. <3 My day to day schedule is very flexible so I will have plenty of time to care for your pet(s). Whether you need someone full or part time. When caring for pets in your home I love written instructions, but can easily adapt if there are none. If wet outside I will let them out to go to the bathroom then dry their fur before letting them enter the home.
About: I love all animals but dogs have always had a special place in my heart. They are joy to be around their positivity is contagious no matter what your day has been like. They are an intuitive soul and one that believe can be healing in alot of ways. I've had several dogs in my life time and lost some to age and to this day they are still with me. In many ways dogs are that thing that makes our lives so much better and carry memories that one never forgets. That's the thing about them, they become so much a part of you that you don't realize this until they are gone. They are our Friend, and in so many ways our Family. I am currently working from home so I your fur baby will be with me all day. Please bring something they can he comfy with like a pillow, favorite toy , blanket. I have a designated spot in my apartment and my community is fenced & safe, with its own pet area. I also have a beautiful park we can walk through across the street.
About: Growing up my family always helped shelter and rehome lost pets of all ages and types, I love animals and understand the importance of comfort that a pet needs to be in a strangers care. I enjoy gig work while I take care of my own pack at home. I do work delivery jobs and enjoy a good drive to work I like for pet areas to be clean and tidy for easy access and care. I love long stimulating walks with the pups and some toy time or practicing basic obedience commands in my time with them for mental stimulation.
About: Back in 2023 I got my first job at 16 years old at Pet Suites as a “pet pro” which is a doggy daycare (and cats too) where you can drop your dogs off for the day while you’re at work or board them there while you’re on vacation. I also have done dog sitting outside of that job too, where I would go and take care of families dogs while they were on vacation and stay with the pets at their houses. I also was an active member of the FFA all throughout my high school years where I would raise pigs and show them at different shows. I just completed school and I’m about to go into subbing part-time at a middle school so my schedule is pretty open at the moment! I usually have a good consultation with the pet owners before dog sitting for them where I find out what they’re feeding schedule looks like and other information that would be necessary for me to know and on top of that I usually have them leave me with a list either virtually over the phone or physically on a piece of paper with all the information that I would need.
“Alexis house sat my 7 year old, anxious and energetic German shepherd this weekend and was super helpful in easing my mind with regular updates and pictures while I was away. She paid extra attention to detail by notifying me of a thunderstorm ahead of time to see if my dog needed any special care! Super caring and trustworthy dog sitter, will definitely request her help again in the future!!”

“If you are looking for someone who is loving, caring, and will give you peace of mind when it comes to providing care for your pets, Emily is your girl! She was so attentive and cared for our pups like they were her own. She had great communication and provided updates everyday. I am so thankful for her!”

About: I’ve had animals my entire life and have cared for both dogs and cats since I was little. Growing up with pets has taught me how to understand their different personalities, routines, and needs. I treat every pet like they’re my own, whether that means going for walks, playing, feeding, cleaning up after them, or simply giving them love and attention. I’m dependable, patient, and happy to send photo updates so you know your pet is safe and happy while you’re away. I currently work on weekends, so I’m most available Monday through Friday. My schedule allows me to provide drop-in visits, walks, and quality time with your pets during the week. I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability and make sure your pet receives the care and attention they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special routines your pet has. I’ll treat both your pet and your home with respect, make sure everything is secure before I leave, and send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I’ve helped train your German shepherd’s and they are the sweetest babies ever. Very well behaved and I also have a lot of patience for dogs especially puppies. I have a senior dog and also know the extra care that comes with having one. I’m a full time nail technician and stylist, meaning I have such a flexible schedule and if you need me to take care of your baby during the day I can always run and do so during my breaks. My work schedule at the salon is Tuesday-Saturday I can easily take your fur babies on walks, put them in their crate if needed feed them and also give them cuddles and rubs whenever they need them
“It was my first time using Rover and Rachel made sure it was a good experience. She clarified any needs for the dogs, asked what was acceptable to not cross any boundaries already set, and made sure they had an enjoyable day. Couldn’t be happier to have them watched by her. Would recommend her if you need a sitter.”

About: Hey there! I have a good while of experience and honestly prefer dogs over people. Your pup gets my full attention and a massive, safely fenced one-acre front and backyard to run free. I promise 100% dog-focused love, safety, and nonstop fun! I am currently working part-time as medical assistant and am willing to adjust my schedule to care for you pup! My weekly work hours are from 8am-5pm on depending days! I have a fenced front & backyard (very spacious) I do have a friendly Great Pyrenees in the back yard that is fenced in, loves to have doggy friends around!

“Sarah was exceptional. I honestly couldn’t be more pleased with the care she provided for our dogs. We have a Dutch Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix and a Chihuahua mix, and she did an amazing job with both of them. She was incredibly thorough, communicative, and responsive throughout the entire stay. She sent some absolutely incredible pictures that gave us peace of mind and showed just how comfortable and happy our dogs were in her care. Unfortunately, our dogs decided to be a little naughty while we were away and made quite a mess. Sarah cleaned up everything without complaint and went above and beyond what I would ever expect from a dog sitter. That level of dedication and care says a lot about the kind of person she is. I can’t say enough good things about her. She treated our dogs like they were her own, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about them. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, dependable, and caring to watch your pets, I highly recommend Sarah. We will absolutely be booking with her again”

“Paydence was wonderful. She communicated throughout the visit and was so respectful of my house. I came back to a very well cared for pup and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an A+ sitter.”

About: I have worked at Petsmart before. At Petsmart we are required to know what makes a dog comfortable while at a public place or somewhere other than home. I have watched over puppies 2 and 3 months old for my in laws a couple times now. My parents got a kitten that I helped take care of till I moved out about 10 months later. I own a chinchilla which is an exotic small animal. I’ve had her for a year. I’ve been fascinated by pets since I was a child and always do my research before taking care of an animal. I look forward to being of assistance. I fluctuate between part time and full time. I’m usually free tuesdays, wednesdays, and thursdays. I can schedule the time off if it’s 3 or 4 weeks in advance. I usually work mornings except for mondays, when I work evenings. I can always visit the pup or kitty during break and then spend the rest of the day with them after work. This will most likely be temporary until I can get a solid schedule here or at Home Depot. My apartment complex is very pet friendly. My building is only a few steps away from a dog park inside of the complex. The clubhouse has dog treats and I can provide as well based on age and diet. I will always ask any questions about what you would prefer for your fur baby. I have a chinchilla that stays in a cage as long as your pet is around. She is curious and will not hurt your pet even if they stick a paw in between the bars, which is hard to do anyways. My living room is a large space for any pet. I’m currently working part time, but I’m willing to do weekly stays with 2-3 weeks in advance notice. I also will require meet ups before every service in a public place. This is not going to be required for existing clients. I live in an apartment so I don’t currently own any pets, but everyone in my direct and extended family either has, or has had one that I’ve grown up with. I’m very familiar with animal routines and attributes. If something is bothering your pet, I will notice. I always keep in constant contact with whoever I petsit or help take care of for anything I may notice. Most of the time it’s things owners are already aware of, but I’ve always found it never hurts to ask and inform.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Union Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Union Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Union Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
