“Carly communicates very well and is very responsible. Cared for my pup for a week and I never worried once. She sends fun updates with pics. Kept the house clean and tidy. I highly recommend Carly and would definitely use her again. Sweet girl!”

About: I’ve cared for a wide variety of animals over the years, including dogs and cats. Having grown up around animals myself, I understand how difficult it can be for pets when their owners are away. My goal is to make sure they feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re on vacation, and I’ll give them plenty of attention, affection, and care until you return. I am currently a college kid home for the summer. With that being said I have a completely open schedule right now until I head back in the fall! I care for every pet as if they were my own. I make sure they stay on their normal routine, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and any medications if needed. I also provide plenty of attention, affection, and exercise based on each pet’s individual needs and personality. In a client’s home, I respect their space and follow all care instructions to help pets feel comfortable and stress-free while their family is away. I always send updates and photos so owners can have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and well cared for.
“As first-time Rover users, we were initially nervous, but Taryn immediately set our minds at ease. She warmly suggested a meet-and-greet to ensure it was a good fit for us and our pets. While we were away, Taryn was excellent with communication, checking in upon arrival and sending regular photos and updates. Coming home was a delight; our house was spotless, our dogs were happy, fed, and well-exercised, and Taryn had even thoughtfully started a load of household linens in the wash. We have no doubt our animals adored her and received the very best care. We will absolutely be asking Taryn to return!”

“Great communication and I could tell from what they were saying about Roger that he was well taken care of and they were truly spending time with him. Will definitely book them again!”

About: Hi, my name is Kenzie. I’ve been around animals my whole life and genuinely love spending time with them. I’m all about creating a calm, happy space where pets feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while their people are away. What makes me different is how naturally I connect with animals and how much real experience I have. I’ve pet‑sat for lots of families with all kinds of pets and personalities, and I’m really good at helping them feel comfortable quickly. I also babysit, so families trust me to be responsible and respectful in their home. I’m easygoing, reliable, and I always make sure every pet gets plenty of love and attention. I just graduated from UGA, so I have a lot of free time right now and would dedicate all of it to your pet. I genuinely enjoy being around animals, so taking care of them never feels like “work” to me. I’m flexible throughout the day and can easily fit walks, playtime, feeding, and whatever routine your pet needs into my schedule. When I’m taking care of pets in a client’s home, I keep things super simple and respectful. I follow whatever routine you already have in place, keep your space clean, and make sure your pet feels comfortable and not stressed. I’m good at sticking to feeding times, walks, litter box care, and any little details you want done a certain way. I’m calm, patient, and I always let your pet set the pace. At my place, pets have plenty of room to hang out, explore, and get cozy. It’s a clean, safe space with no chaos, and I’m always paying attention to doors, windows, and anything that could be a safety issue. I love having animals around, so they get lots of attention, cuddles, and a relaxed environment where they can just be themselves. Your pet’s comfort is the main thing I focus on, and I make sure they feel happy and secure the whole time.
About: I have been around animals my whole life and I love them! I have a 4 year old kitty named Bunny and she is everything to me. My best friend has a mini Australian shepherd that is very friendly and I love being around him. I also have watched my brother and sister in law’s dogs for 2 years now. They ranged from having 4-8 dogs at different points and I would love to go stay with them, feed them, and get to play with their fluffy selves! I am working limited hours at this time, so I am available weekdays 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.- 9 p.m., and also weekends any time! I will monitor the animals needs and be there in any way I am needed. I will take them outside as much as directed, feed them, make sure they have water, and love on them!
“Laraine was very good house sitting with our elderly, blind cat. Since he lost his sight, he has been skittish around new people. Even though she had to give him daily oral medication, he was comfortable enough with her that he would come to her for rubs. We plan to use her again. Her working from home is a plus.”

“Amanda was great with our girl! Our pup is a bit vocal and has a few quirks; like needing doors closed, a sound machine on when we’re out, and a special diet…but Amanda handled everything. Communication was easy and consistent, and we came home to a happy pup. It’s clear she really cared, and we’ve already booked her again.”

About: I’ve had and taken care of dogs my whole life. Having a dog with multiple health issues I know how to give proper medication when needed. Even though I work full time I can board for the weekends starting on Friday. I can also walk dogs late in the evening if needed. I have a big yard that will give your dog plenty of room to play. I have several dogs myself if your dog likes to play with others.
“Amy did an excellent job with my two very shy dogs while I was away. She sent lots of pictures and I had complete peace of mind. The house was immaculate when I returned and we can't wait to have her come again. Thanks Amy!”

About: I have always owned animals and have shown, trained, bred and rescued animals. I believe they are family and should be treated with love and loyalty. I am dedicated to this full time. It is a passion for me. You will be glad you chose me and will continue to use me for all future getaways. Your animal will be loved as family. Nothing but dedication to your baby while in my care. I offer more then just a night out or week out. I offer peace of mind.

About: I've worked a family farm since I was 8 years old. I have experience with all sorts of critters. Oh and I ain't scared of spiders or snakes if that suits your fancy! Im currently between jobs and hoping to get a part time so I can still do this. But I have a lot of time on my hands so I'd love to spend it pet sitting little fluff balls. I appreciate the trust to allow me to take care of your babies. Let alone let me in your house! Again thank you so much for the opportunity.

“I am SO thankful for Nicole! She has a pup of her own with similar sassiness and issues with other dogs so she was able to relate, and work with Hank while I was gone. She has a great personality, and understands how to be alpha with Hank who tries to "run the show". Usually, Hank exhibits anxiety when I leave him but I noticed how calm he was when I got home yesterday. She clearly spent a lot of time with him and exercised him She also sent me really cute pictures and was always responsive when we texted. I will be using her regularly!! :)”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Union Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Union Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Union Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Union Point. On Rover:
- 82% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
