“As first-time Rover users, we were initially nervous, but Taryn immediately set our minds at ease. She warmly suggested a meet-and-greet to ensure it was a good fit for us and our pets. While we were away, Taryn was excellent with communication, checking in upon arrival and sending regular photos and updates. Coming home was a delight; our house was spotless, our dogs were happy, fed, and well-exercised, and Taryn had even thoughtfully started a load of household linens in the wash. We have no doubt our animals adored her and received the very best care. We will absolutely be asking Taryn to return!”

“Book this pet sitter! She is a dog whisperer!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Mia. She stayed with my dog overnight for 4 days. My dog loved ❤️ her. Mia was also a great house guest in my home. Everything was very clean and tidy when I got back. She's a college student with lots of energy for your pet. I highly recommend her for the Lake Oconee area.”

“They were very kind and attentive to all of the care instructions for our three pups! All of our dogs loved them and seemed very happy and well cared for when we got home. They left our home nice and clean as well. Would definitely rebook with them :)”

About: I've got multiple years of experience handling a highly anxious dog that can be dog selective during high stress situations. I was the one primarily training my family's two dogs, as well as the one taking them out on as many walks as I was able. I have multiple years worth of experience with senior dogs that had arthritis and who needed to have their food prepped especially for easier eating. I'm currently a student at the University of Georgia and currently looking into part time summer positions, however my schedule is very flexible with daily check-ins and overnight stays during both the week and weekend are very doable. During check-ins, outside of ensuring food and water are available, I would make sure to spend time playing and hanging out with any dog and if I have time to take them on a walk I will. For overnights, I would do the same thing with the only difference being the amount of time I'd be able to spend with the dog.
“Ally was great! We’re glad we were able to have her stay at our house with our 3 big pups so they wouldn’t be anxious about being out of their environment while we we out of town”

“Phoebe was absolutely fantastic. She took such great care of our (high maintenance) pups and left our home in perfect shape. She always responded quickly and sent plenty of pics. 10/10!”

About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was ten years old for neighbors and family. I have a bachelors in animal science from UGA and currently work in a local animal clinic for cats and dogs. This clinic offers regular and medical boarding and I am comfortable with animals in all stages of life as well as those that might require a little extra time and attention. I am CPR certified and have training to administer medications and fluids and monitor critically ill patients. I work Mondays-Thursday’s 7:30-6 and can be flexible with a lunch hour to provide for all types of needs. I am open all weekends and holidays. I have one sweet medium sized fur baby who is a shepherd mix, she is friendly with all sizes and breeds. I typically care for pets in a clients home as I find this can minimize stress related clinical signs from manifesting. I love to be active and can incorporate that into your high energy pets needs or can snuggle with your low energy pet and read a book. I monitor my dogs food and water intake closely and actively observe them when outside, I treat all my pet sitting babies the same as I would my own girl.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of my own and those belonging to friends and family for years. I have no problem feeding, exercising, playing with, and cleaning up after cats and dogs. I also have experience dispensing medicine and caring for sick cats and dogs. I’m currently working part time, but I should have lots of time off this upcoming month (July/August). I can pet sit on busy days as long as owner is comfortable with me possibly leaving for hours at a time. In my home, I like to keep my cat inside. My back yard is fenced in for our dog. I try my best to keep the house clean and orderly to avoid any potential danger for my pets, and would do the same for yours. For walking, leashes are always a must.

About: I have taken care of both cats and dogs growing up. I have always enjoyed playing with them and going out on walks. In addition I have experience bathing, grooming, and feeding them. Moreover I have volunteer experience cleaning up after and feeding animals at Sweet Olive Farm. I am working part time, however I should be free most weekend days for check ins or dog walking. I will also be available on weekends for dog sitting. Having pets growing up I would always ensure they had enough water and would feed them on their regular schedule. But most importantly I believe all pets need enrichment time. For house sitting I will uphold this standard. For walks I will make sure they get to sniff to their hearts content.
“Kaylee watched over our dog and cat while we went away for several days. She communicated well, took care of our pets and left the house neat and clean. We will be using her again !”

“Avery was awesome. She sent me so many pictures of Remi at the park, the track, and hanging out at the house. She gave him so much attention and took care of him so well! Will definitely use again.”

“Carolyn was very (beyond very good) with my dog Leo. Leo can be a handful at times due his high levels of energy and playfulness but Carolyn seemed to keep him busy. She took him to work, and even cut his nails (which I typically have to give him anti-anxiety drugs for) before the groomer can even touch him. Carolyn was great with checking in while I was out of the country by sending me pictures of Leo assuring me that they were safe and sound. I would highly recommend Carolyn, and look forward to having her dog sit in the near future!”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs and lifelong experience caring for them. I’ve been watching and caring for dogs since I was 10, and I treat every dog with patience, kindness, and the same love and attention I’d give my own. I am a nurse but only work 3 days a week, and I’d love to help out on my days off! I have weekends off :) I provide safe and attentive care for walks and drop-in visits. I always follow your dog’s routine, ensure secure entry and exits, and keep them on a safe leash at all times. I pay close attention to their behavior, energy levels, and comfort, making sure they feel happy, calm, and well cared for while you’re away. Your dog’s safety and peace of mind are my top priorities
About: I have been around animals my whole life and I love them! I have a 4 year old kitty named Bunny and she is everything to me. My best friend has a mini Australian shepherd that is very friendly and I love being around him. I also have watched my brother and sister in law’s dogs for 2 years now. They ranged from having 4-8 dogs at different points and I would love to go stay with them, feed them, and get to play with their fluffy selves! I am working limited hours at this time, so I am available weekdays 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.- 9 p.m., and also weekends any time! I will monitor the animals needs and be there in any way I am needed. I will take them outside as much as directed, feed them, make sure they have water, and love on them!
“Gina was responsive when I reached out and my pup seemed happy when I returned home. House was clean and tidy so no complaints there. Didn't really have a whole lot of communication while I was away so am assuming all was good!”
About: My family is a big dog family with two Great Danes I’m used to big more heavy set animals so I do not scare easy. I have a work from home job so I am well fit to give around the clock potty breaks and walks whenever it is needed. We have multiple cats in our household so I am used to regular feedings, treats, playtime and providing all the attention your pet may need!
“Laraine was very good house sitting with our elderly, blind cat. Since he lost his sight, he has been skittish around new people. Even though she had to give him daily oral medication, he was comfortable enough with her that he would come to her for rubs. We plan to use her again. Her working from home is a plus.”

About: I’ve loved animals and pets my entire life. I’ve taken care of all sorts from large dogs to small, cats, fish, and livestock. I grew up on a farm and have been taking care of animals as long as I can remember. I’m an avid fly fisher and student at UGA and my partner is a full time dog groomer. Let us make your pet safe, comfortable, and happy as can be! I’m a full time student in an academic research field, so between research, studying, and class, I’m very free and would love to fill that time with furry friends. As of right now I’m home all day for summer! Pets in our household are always played with, comfortable, well fed and have an eye on them 24/7. Beyond anything else I will ensure your pet is safe and comfortable. The last thing you want while out of town is to worry about your little friends

FAQs for House Sitting - Wrayswood
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 403 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Wrayswood. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Wrayswood walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Wrayswood maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Wrayswood choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Wrayswood. On Rover:
- 86% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 93% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
