About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over 20 years, starting with family pets and friends’ dogs. I’ve worked in a rescue centre and a dog boarding facility, and I hold an Animal Management qualification where I cared for the centre’s dogs on a daily basis. I’ve fostered many rescue dogs in my home, including helping severely traumatised dogs regain confidence and settle into their forever homes. I’m now a qualified dog trainer and also work with a canine medical rehabilitation company, so I’m comfortable caring for dogs with a wide range of needs. I have two dogs of my own and treat every dog I look after as if they were part of my family—patient, attentive, and always prioritising their wellbeing. I’m fortunate to work remotely, which allows me to adapt my schedule around your pets needs. I’m flexible with routines and can adjust my day as needed to ensure your pet gets the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. Your pets routine will always be followed to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy. Building trust with both you and your pet is my top priority, so you can relax and enjoy your time away knowing they’re in a secure, caring environment.

About: Growing up in a family house we always had some sort of animal like a cat and mostly big dogs. Such as 3 newfoundlands and also recently lost our giant St Bernard. I have moved back to Lowestoft after living in south London for a couple years and do miss the loving interaction so I am open to giving attention to dogs and cats that need it. Very gentle to those dogs that are more elderly, but can also bring the energy for those puppies that need to be worn out. I do work as cabin crew working 5 on and 4 off so would be doing this on my days off. I can mark this in my calendar. Can do early or late as I do drive too. I can’t have pets in my flat unfortunately so I would be coming to your home or taking them on a walk due to my landlords rules.

About: I adore all animals and I have a passion for giving them a great quality of life. I've always taken care of my friend's and family's pets. I also have a mini zoo of my own that is the joy of my life; consisting of a bunny, two cats and a dog. I've had pets of my own for as long as I can remember, they truly do make me the happiest. So to spend time with your pets and help you would be my pleasure. I have a full-time day job Monday to Friday so I am available in the evenings and weekends for walks, check-ins, play dates or overnight care. I work in a school so I also have school holidays where I can help care for your pet(s) throughout the week. Therefore, I will have plenty of time to play with your loved pets. I am a confident and experienced pet owner of all shapes and sizes and I have plenty of love to give whatever your animal. I am a reliable, trustworthy and friendly person who would respect your home and your expectations for the care that you need for your pet(s). I am happy to bring my Dalmatian along on walks or sits if you would like socialisation or I am equally happy to attend without. I enjoy meeting owners prior to any pet care that I give so that I can understand what makes you and your pet happy.

Excellent job as usual. Both cats happy and content when we got home. I was worried to leave Millie because she is blind and needs a lot of attention. However I knew Hannah would look after her.

We were very happy with the care and thought that Jon and Jennifer put into looking after our two whippets. They took the time to get to know the dogs in advance, and sought further clarification on their daily routine. They arrived promptly, and during our holiday we received daily updates and photos showing that the dogs were being walked in a variety of locations around the area, and were relaxed and contented at home. It was great to return to happy dogs and a spotless house - and we appreciated the fresh flowers!

I am currently a full-time student however during both my summer break and term time, I have a wide range of availability due to my flexible schedule between university and placements. I have lots of experience with dogs (and animals in general) of varying temperament and have been taught how to handle and care for them all. I will be sure to give your pet plenty of love, however I will also remain aware of any behavioural signs which suggests they are uncomfortable or anxious, and act accordingly! About: I have lots of experience with animals - dogs in particular because I have had dogs my whole life. I also took my dog to behaviour/obedience dog training and agility training. I feel I have a strong connection with animals and can handle all types of characters and personalities. I have experience handling nervous dogs and reactive dogs and elderly dogs. I have never owned cats but my family members have lots of cats so I have experience with being around them and looking after them. I am currently a fully time university student looking to build up a bit of money alongside my studies by doing something I absolutely love which is looking after animals. Since being away from home I have found a huge gap in my life because I don’t have my dogs with me - this will allow me to be able to look after animals while I am away from home which is something I love doing. My days weekly vary and times I’m available based on my lectures but if you ping me a message I am sure we can sort something out - I am a very reliable person. I will always make sure the animal has its needs met and will follow the instructions left by the owner to ensure optimal care for the pet and peace of mind for the owner. I know how important your pets are as I have 2 dogs of my own at home and used to have a rabbit and hamsters. I absolutely love and adore all animals.

Nicole came to dog sit our two dogs in our caravan where we were staying as we had a wedding to attend. Nicole was really warm and friendly and made me feel like I could relax and enjoy my day without worrying if they were okay. She sent me an update with pictures during the day and it was so nice to see they were having fun. I couldn’t recommend Nicole enough. Thank you!

We had such a wonderful experience with Shirley looking after Enzo overnight in our home. From the very beginning, she was warm, professional, and clearly a genuine animal lover. Enzo settled with her straight away, which gave us so much peace of mind. Shirley took fantastic care of him, keeping to his routine, giving him lots of attention, and making sure he was happy and comfortable the entire time. It was such a relief knowing our home and our dog were in such safe, capable hands. We came back to a relaxed and content Enzo and a spotless house — it honestly couldn’t have gone better. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Shirley again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and responsible pet sitter. Thank you so much, Shirley!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and other pets from a very young age, giving me years of hands-on experience with animals of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. From daily walks and playtime to feeding, basic training, and lots of love and attention, I understand how important routine, safety, and trust are for pets and their owners. I’m confident handling energetic puppies, gentle seniors, and everything in between, always making sure each dog feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while in my care. I carefully balance pet care alongside my work and college schedule by offering set, reliable time slots that fit naturally into my daily routine, such as mornings, afternoons, and evenings. This allows me to provide consistent walks and check-ins without overbooking or rushing visits. I always communicate my availability clearly, so owners know exactly when to expect me, and I make sure every pet gets my full attention, care, and time. Being organised helps me give dependable, loving care while maintaining a busy but well-managed schedule. When caring for pets in their own homes and on walks, I always follow each owner’s specific instructions to keep routines familiar and stress-free for their pets. I make sure pets are fed on time, given fresh water, plenty of attention, and any basic care they need, such as cleaning bowls or refreshing litter areas. On walks, I focus on safety, positive handling, and fun exercise while keeping dogs secure on leads and away from hazards. I treat every home with respect and every pet as if they were my own, making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and well cared for at all times.

Christina was a very professional pet sitter, she looked after our 2 dogs Button, who is a lively 3 year old Cocker Spaniel and our 16 year old Spaniel x Border Pippa. We had daily updates and photos of the dogs at home and out for lovely walks. Christina was experience with older dogs and administered Pippa's daily medication. When we returned home the house was left very clean and tidy. And very happy dogs. We would highly recommend Christina as your pet sitter. Graham and Sheila.

We had such a great holiday and having David stay with our dog made it extra great! We could tell right away from meeting him before we left that he was exactly the type of person we wanted to stay at our home and look after our dog Gibson. It can a bit of a nervous experience leaving your home and pet with someone, but you will have zero worries with David at the helm! He's responsible, reliable and had an affinity with our dog. He even kept my squirrel snack jar topped up for my little garden buddies. The house was well looked after and looked like it did when we left. We appreciate him so much and will for sure book him again. Amazing person! Thank you so much David!

Her calm and capable manner inspired confidence, and she kept us regularly updated with pictures and information while we were away. It was wonderful to come home to two happy and relaxed whippets! The average cost for House Sitting in Waveney on Rover is £29.9 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of June 2026, there are 294 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Waveney. Enter your postcode to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Waveney walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Waveney choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
