“I recently had the pleasure of having Hannah look after my dog, Bella, while I was on holiday, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, Hannah was incredibly attentive, ensuring I felt comfortable and safe leaving Bella in her care. She kept me updated with regular photos and messages, which truly put my mind at ease. It was clear that Bella was happy and well-cared for, and I could tell she enjoyed her time with Hannah. I highly recommend Hannah to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter! I'm pleased we now have someone who Bella can be with when we are away. Thanks a million Hannah :-)”

About: I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals, including my own rescued cats, dogs, and horses. I have looked after three horses on loan, providing daily care, feeding, grooming, and attention to their individual needs. I have rescued and cared for two cats and have owned two dogs, giving me hands-on experience with different personalities, routines, and care requirements. I have also worked at Redwings Horse Sanctuary, supporting the care of horses and running wellbeing activities that connected people with horses. Alongside my animal experience, I run my own small business offering therapeutic forest school work with children and nature connection experiences. This has developed my skills in patience, responsibility, observation, and creating safe, supportive environments for both people and animals. I hold an Enhanced DBS check and I am experienced in working responsibly with both children and animals. I am comfortable providing care such as: • Feeding and maintaining routines • Administering medication where required • Caring for animals with different needs and temperaments • Providing companionship, attention, and reassurance • Looking after animals in a calm, respectful way • Drop in pet sitting, or longer stay-in house and pet sitting if required I understand that pets are part of the family and aim to provide reliable, compassionate care that gives owners peace of mind while they are away. I currently work part time two days a week in a forest school monday and Friday, but have availability the other days, evenings and weekends. Safety, trust and caring for your environment, home and pet is paramount. I have an Enhanced DBS and have a wealth of experience and references.
“Jon and Jennifer were wonderful from our initial chat. We arranged a meet and greet before they came to look after Angus. It's obvious from the moment you meet them both that they have a love and passion for dogs. During their stay with Angus he went everywhere with them, for lunch, to a dog park and even to bed! Cannot express how happy we were. We will definitely rebook and would recommend to anyone looking for a sitter in your own home.”

“Jordon was amazing! Was given photo updates and communicated so well throughout her stay with my dog. Even left my house looking cleaner than when she first got there! 100% wine and skyler will be seeing you again soon xx”

“David looked after our spaniel and elderly cat for 10 days. He did exactly that! Doug (spaniel) bonded well with David, he was even allowed to sleep with him (as he does us). Our elderly cat Millie is a rather solitary and shy soul however seemed perfectly herself when we returned home. I would recommend David to look after your pets, he even watered the plants for us. Thanks David and we hope you enjoyed your stay with our pets. June & Mark 🐾🐾🐾🐾”

“Abigail looked after our dog for us while we were on holiday and he had the best staycation with her and her dog. We felt reassured he was having the comforts of a home away from home and were kept up updated with photos during his time there. Would definitely recommend Abigail she has a passion for dogs and our dog Reggie settled very quickly with her in her home! Abigail was brilliant and accommodating particularly as Reggie needed some extra care whilst he was recovering from a recent operation.”

About: I've been a pet owner my entire life and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes, particularly large, high-energy breeds that require plenty of exercise and attention. I'm very active and enjoy long walks, outdoor adventures, and keeping dogs engaged and happy. I provide a high standard of care, treating every pet as if they were my own. I have recently moved back from South Korea where I have been an international school teacher for many years. I currently tutor online and am looking for ways to enjoy time in different cities/ have a change in pace of life! I have lots of time to care for pets during my daily schedule. I currently have no pets so want to use my energy and love to care for others. Due to a adventurous pet dog as a child, I am aware of the challenges that can be faced with energetic, big dogs so I will use this experience to keep your pets safe.
About: I’ve had my own dog for five wonderful years, and he truly opened my heart to all living creatures. We trained him ourselves from a puppy, and he has amazing recall and lovely manners. That experience taught me patience, consistency, and how important trust is with dogs. I regularly look after friends’ dogs of all sizes, small, medium, and large and I’m confident handling different temperaments and energy levels. I provide daily walks once or twice a day, sometimes including a run for more active dogs, and longer walks at the weekend for extra adventure and stimulation. Your dog would be cared for as if they were my own, with attention, affection, and plenty of exercise. 🐾 As I work from home, dogs in my care are rarely left alone and always have company throughout the day. I tailor walks to each dog’s needs, offering one or two walks daily depending on their routine and energy levels. There are always plenty of cuddles, attention and gentle supervision.. 🐾 Your dog’s safety and wellbeing are always my top priority. In my home, I provide a calm, secure and loving environment where dogs are treated as part of the family. I take time to understand each dog’s routine, preferences and any special requirements so they feel settled and comfortable. I maintain consistent boundaries, supervise interactions, and ensure doors and outdoor spaces are secure at all times. Walks are carried out safely, with close attention to surroundings and other dogs. I only allow off-lead time where recall is reliable and agreed with the owner.🐾
“Christina was a very professional pet sitter, she looked after our 2 dogs Button, who is a lively 3 year old Cocker Spaniel and our 16 year old Spaniel x Border Pippa. We had daily updates and photos of the dogs at home and out for lovely walks. Christina was experience with older dogs and administered Pippa's daily medication. When we returned home the house was left very clean and tidy. And very happy dogs. We would highly recommend Christina as your pet sitter. Graham and Sheila.”

“Melody was fantastic! She looked after our 1.5 year old Lab and he certainly seemed like he had a great day! Would not hesitate to recommend Melody for anyone else! Thank you again!!”

Pet owners share their Rover experiences - Great Yarmouth
Hollie arrived on time and was very attentive to Otto our miniature dachshund. She took him for a little walk when it was cool enough and made a real fuss of him. She also sent us some photos during the evening and was very respectful of our house. Thank you Hollie we look forward to seeing you again for our next booking.

Kirsty was so lovely with our 2 dogs. She had the experience that gave me the confidence that she would follow all instructions so that they had the routine and care that they are used to. Daily videos and updates. The house was clean and she even got some supplies in for us. Highly recommend.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred Great Yarmouth walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Great Yarmouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
