“Maxine went above & beyond to care for Tilly during the very hot weather we are currently experiencing. Regular photo’s and messages letting us know how she was doing, Tilly always looked relaxed & cool. We would highly recommend Maxine to care for your pooches. Thank you Maxine.”

“We are very happy with the care our dog received while staying with Lianne and her husband. They were both very thoughtful and helpful to make Bobs stay just like home. I received regular updates throughout the stay. We would definitely recommend Lianne to others. Thank you so much.”

“Shirely-Ann and John took amazing care of our Whippet boy, Charlie. This was the first time we have ever left Charlie to stay over somewhere but Shirely-Ann sent us videos, photos and regular updates so we knew he was in good hands and we felt reassured that he was happy. He had a great time playing with Nicko and running around the lovely garden and all the walks around the area. Wouldn't hesitate to ask Shirley-Ann to look after our boy again. Thank you so much! ??”

“Sarah and Paul are absolutely wonderful people and they looked after my dog as if he was one of their own. Received so many photos and updates (if you wanted too). Teddy has a wonderful time, he looked happy and content. I am sure if I could ask Teddy, he would say that he can't wait to stay again.... Thanks Sarah and Paul ❤️”

“Our Toy Poodle Coco stayed with Nick for a week. Nick is a nice man and updated us everyday and sent photos of Coco. Coco loved spending time with them especially with Florence (such a sweet dog). Coco was spoilt and treated as their own dog with a comfortable home. They made sure Coco is fed and well exercised. He came back with us happy and healthy. It is almost his 2nd home. We will definitely book with Nick again.”

About: I’ve had a dog ever since I was little and absolutely love them! 8 years ago I became a qualified Dog groomer which I still love doing, before this I done 2 years at college in animal care. Being a dog groomer has gave me the experience with handling or sorts of different dogs. I’m currently at work on Mondays. I’m at home for the majority of the week with my daughter so that gives us plenty of time to spend with your doggies Our garden is completely fenced off with two gates. If you’d like your dog to be crated we are happy to do so but would need to be supplied.

About: Hi, I’m Hannah! I have grown up surrounded by pets, so caring for animals has always been a huge part of my life. I have my own dog and I know how important it is to find someone you can completely trust with your pet. I also work in the pet travel industry, so I’m lucky enough to spend my days surrounded by everything dog-related! I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of love, attention, playtime and cuddles, and I’ll always keep you updated with photos and messages so you can relax while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry best friend! I work from home full-time, so I have lots of flexibility to give your pet plenty of attention and companionship throughout the day. I offer dog walking, drop-in visits and overnight stays, with activities including walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles and sticking to your pet’s usual routine to help them feel happy and settled. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I’ll care for them as if they were my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and little messages, so you can relax knowing they’re safe, loved and having a great time. Your pet’s safety and happiness will always be my top priority. I have a secure, fully enclosed garden where they can safely play, explore and enjoy fresh air, and because I work from home they’ll rarely be left alone. I’ll always follow your pet’s usual routine, including feeding, walks, medication and any special instructions, to help them feel as settled as possible. I’ll treat your pet like one of my own and keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages, so you can relax knowing they’re in safe hands.

“Heidi looked after my boy at short notice for 10 days and sent me regular updates about their time together. On my return, my dog appears happy and healthy and I believe he was well loved whilst I was away. Thank you!”

“Diane was super - I felt totally confident leaving my dog to board with her. Dolly was made to feel welcome, was walked and treated as if at home and she was relaxed and happy when I collected her. Cant ask for more than that.”

“Such a kind and thoughtful woman. Our dog is allergic to Christmas trees, and Andrea was so accommodating, that she moved her tree away from any areas our dog had access too. We got the feeling that nothing was too much trouble for her, and we're very grateful that she could take in our dog at such short notice. We would definitely recommend Andrea and her beautiful dog.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 11, family, friends and neighbours have always asked me to walk and care for their dogs when they are busy and give them a happy loving place when they can’t be around. I now have 2 dogs of my own a chihuahua and a French bulldog they’re both fully trained, they’re spoilt everyday with love and lots of play time. I love making a dogs day the best day possible while in my care. I’m available everyday from morning to afternoon and have plenty of time to play with your pups! You can always count on me to be ready to give your pets the best day! I have a dog to keep your fur baby company, we will have plenty of cuddles and play time. You will have no need to worry when leaving your babies with me they will always be in the safest hands having loads of fun.

“Very warm, friendly family who all love dogs. It felt Good to leave Trixie with them. Rebecca was easy to communicate with. She responded fast to our questions. They did everything to make it easy for our dog to feel comfortable. Everything went really well”

“Sonny & Luna our sproker spaniels had a lovely 1 night stay with William and his wife. From arrival Sonny & Luna were able to go searching and sniffing freely in the large garden and house. Sonny quickly found the toy box and played one of his favourite games of emptying it one toy at a time and hiding them around the garden. They were taken on walks and we had videos and photos sent to us regularly over the 24 hours. Thank you William, I would definately recommend and confidently use you again to care for my spaniels”

“We could not have been happier leaving Didi with Jacques and Ann. Their home (and garden) were absolutely perfect for her and they made her feel very welcome relaxed from the moment she arrived. We received lovely updates and pictures during her stay which put our minds at ease and it was great to hear that, as a reactive dog, she had been so calm both in the house and on walks. Thank you both so much - we are so grateful she was in such caring and good hands 🙏 We would definitely ask them to care for Didi again as and when we might be visiting Norfolk and would HIGHLY recommend 😁”

“Ellie enjoyed her stay with Ruth again and got on well with some of the other dogs that came and went over her 16 night stay. Ruth kept in touch with us and sent updates every couple of days, along with catering to Ellie’s dietary needs. I would highly recommend Ruth to anyone looking for someone to look after their fur baby, as she is a kind and calm person to be around. This was our 2nd time using Ruth and we’ve already booked Ellie’s next stay with her, for later this month.”

About: I’ve got experience with taking care of lots of different types of dogs as I have helped out with friends and family. I have always loved dogs from a young age and always treat any dog that i look after like my own - making sure they are fed and watered, walked daily and making time to play. I currently work part time (Monday - Wednesday) and I generally only have to go into the office on a Tuesday, therefore I can be at home every day apart from Tuesdays. I have a fenced garden and live in a safe and quiet little village just outside of Norwich. I don’t have any pets so your Dog will get my full attention :)

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
