Absolutely perfect. It was my first time using Rover. I was so undecided whether to bring Odin for our weekend away as he gets a bit fed up being dragged around on lead but didn’t want to leave him in kennels. I felt doggy daycare for a couple of afternoons would be the best of both worlds. Maxine & hubby was so lovely, booked us in at short notice, responded to messages super quick and we felt 100% comfortable leaving him. Without a doubt if we come down this way again we would love Maxine to look after him. Thank you for being so wonderful!

About: We had our own beautiful border collie for 8 years, who has sadly passed. We have also looked after dogs for friends and love getting out walking with them. We have the beach, woods, parks and fields on our doorstep. We would love to give your dog a comfortable stress free home whilst you are away. We would prefer to meet them first to decide if we, you and your dog would be happy for us to care for them. My husband and I are both retired. We have no other commitments so your dog would be our priority. There would always be someone here, so the dog would never be alone. We have a small fenced back garden and spacious living room area. We also have a crate if thats what your dog is used you.

About: I provide attentive, personalized care that helps pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I take the time to learn each dog or cat’s routine, personality, and needs so they receive care that feels familiar and stress-free. Whether it’s keeping up with puppy training, administering medications, caring for senior pets, or giving extra patience to shy animals, I treat every pet like family. I also keep owners updated with regular photos and messages, so you can relax knowing your pets are in caring, dependable hands. I am currently working flexible hours during the week so I am able to suit around your animals needs and availability is totally free on weekends. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. I make sure each pet has a designated space for rest, access to fresh water, and meals provided on their regular schedule. I maintain a clean and pet-friendly space, free of hazards, where they can feel secure and relaxed. I provide plenty of playtime, walks and enrichment activities to keep them happy and stimulated. If a pet has special dietary needs or requires medication, I follow the owner’s instructions carefully. I also ensure that pets receive lots of affection and attention, so they feel right at home while in my care. When caring for pets in their own home, I focus on maintaining their familiar routine and environment to minimize stress. I make sure they are fed on schedule, have access to clean water, and are given proper exercise through walks and playtime. I also follow any specific instructions provided by the owner, including administering medications, maintaining grooming routines, or using specific training cues. In addition to caring for the pet, I respect the owner’s home by keeping it clean and secure. I make sure the pet’s living areas are tidy, and I provide updates to the owner so they feel reassured that their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for.

Hannah was the most accommodating and helpful host we’ve ever had. She gave us regular updates on Maggie and how she was getting on, as well as replying to any questions we had. We will definitely ask Hannah to look after Maggie again, if we are in her neck of the woods.

Macey looked after my dog for 3 daytime sits whilst I was on holiday in her area. She was amazing and Ollie had a fantastic time. She gave him loads of love and good walks. She also sent lots of photos and kept in touch to let me know how Ollie was getting on. I would totally recommend Macey and will certainly book her again if I'm in the area on another occasion. She was brilliant.

I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, so I'll keep you updated with regular photos and messages throughout their stay, giving you peace of mind while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine,as I have fury friends of my own. As a part-time shift worker, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. On my days off, I'm home for most of the day, and even on workdays I carefully plan my schedule to ensure dogs receive regular walks, playtime, feeding, and lots of affection. I understand how important consistency is for pets, so I do my best to stick to their usual routine to help them feel comfortable and settled. About: I have looked after pets ever since I was a little boy, whether that was my own or a family or friends. When I was younger I helped my parents puppy train the dogs we had and I have done the same with mine ever since. My passion lies with animals and giving them all the care, love & attention they deserve. Working from home means I can do this :) I currently work full time from home so I can give your pet all the care and attention in the world along with plenty of playtime and love! I have a 4 bedroom house with a fenced garden where your pooch can feel at home. There are plenty of shaded areas also. When the weather is nice I can take playtime outside for them or at your wishes! I lost my 2 of my fur babies earlier this year and August of last year and have been devastated ever since. I now currently have just a small miniature poodle who is coming up to a year old. He is lovely & he loves all dogs and would love a friend to play with. If you would like your dog kept separate then that is of course fine as well. We have plenty of toys and treats here but feel free to bring your own if that makes them feel more comfortable :)

About: Hi I’m Kelly, I have had animals since as long as I can remember, they have always been a huge part of the family. I am a stay at home Mum and so this enables me to give the animals constant love and attention. We live in an area full of beautiful places to walk the dog’s, we also have a big enclosed garden with tall fences. The animals have full roam of the house. We have one cat and one lovely dog called Mini - they live in harmony together. We do have a door that can separate the house into two areas if the animals that we look after don’t get along. Animals are my passion and I would love to be the house away from home for your fur baby whilst you are away. I would love to hear from you so please message me if you have any questions. References available on request so please do ask! I have experience looking after pugs (my mum has pugs too) french bull dogs, German shepherds, huskies, Labrador’s, labradoodles and jack Russell’s I am always happy to have a phone/ video call prior to booking so you are comfortable with me and the environment your pet will be staying in.

Ruth was brilliant! We had an event in Norwich and couldn’t take the dog. Our 12 yr old Cockerpoo hadn’t been left with anyone outside of family for years but she was happy with Ruth for the day. Doing a meet and greet a few weeks ago helped a lot and Ruth’s calm way with dogs. Would highly recommend 😀

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Waveney on Rover is £31.05 per day (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 231 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Waveney. About 88% of Waveney sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Waveney commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
