“Cooper had a brilliant time on his holiday with Rebecca and her family. She was extremely welcoming and attentive to his needs. Our pre meet was extremely helpful and gave us an opportunity to ask lots of questions beforehand. She provided daily updates as agreed with photos and short videos of his time there. This gave us peace of mind he was enjoying himself whilst we were away. Messages are responded to quickly and she was very flexible with pick up/drop off times and also with activities for dog walking based on the weather during a mini heat wave. Rebecca lives near a nature park so Cooper thoroughly enjoyed his daily walks exploring and getting out into the open fields along with her own Cockapoo Douglas who was very friendly. We would highly recommend Rebecca and no doubt Cooper will be back for more holidays in the future.”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of Keith and I. We have grown up with them, had our own dogs, and cared for dogs from puppyhood right through to their senior years. Keith and I have experience with Chihuahuas, Dachshunds and Border Terriers, as well as Schnauzers, Jack Russells and cross-breed dogs. We have also looked after dogs with different needs, including medication, special diets and different exercise routines. At one point, our family home had more than 10 dogs, so we are very used to making sure every dog is fed, cared for and gets plenty of individual attention and affection! We know how difficult it can feel leaving your dog with somebody else, particularly when travelling. That is one of the reasons we decided to offer boarding and day care. We want dogs staying with us to feel as comfortable and settled as possible, and for their owners to feel reassured that they are being properly looked after. We are happy to follow your dog's usual routine, including feeding times, walks, medication and any little habits that help them feel at home. A typical day with us can include morning and evening walks, plenty of time relaxing at home, lots of cuddles and, of course, regular photos and updates for you. We are particularly comfortable with small and medium-sized dogs, including puppies and senior dogs. Most importantly, we love having dogs around and would treat your dog as part of our home while they are staying with us. We have flexible working routines and work from home a couple of days a week, which means we can offer plenty of company and attention throughout the day. On day care days, dogs would not be left alone. We can fit walks, feeding, playtime, toilet breaks and rest around their usual routine, and we are happy to adapt to what they are already used to at home. We enjoy getting out for walks and have plenty of green spaces nearby, but we are equally happy with dogs who prefer a quieter day, shorter walks and lots of time relaxing on the sofa. We want every dog staying with us to feel safe, comfortable and at home. We live in a mid-terraced house with private front and rear outdoor space, and there are no children or other pets in the home. Dogs are welcome to relax with us on the sofa and furniture, and they can sleep in their own bed so we can keep things as familiar as possible. We always follow the owner's instructions around feeding, walks, medication, special diets and routines. We also take time to understand each dog's personality, including anything that may make them nervous, their usual habits and how they prefer to interact. We also know how reassuring it is to hear how your dog is doing while you are away, so we are very happy to send regular photos and updates during their stay.

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. As well as having dogs of my own, I have professional experience working in animal kennels, where I cared for dogs and cats of all different breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. I currently have a French Bulldog of my own, so I know first-hand that every breed has its own individual needs. I’m particularly familiar with brachycephalic breeds and understand the extra care they can require when it comes to exercise, warmer weather, breathing and knowing when they’ve had enough. My kennel experience has made me confident around all kinds of dogs, from smaller or more nervous dogs that need a little extra patience and reassurance, to large, energetic breeds that love plenty of exercise. I’m very active myself, so I’m more than happy with long walks, energetic dogs and lots of playtime! Most importantly, I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in somebody else’s care. I’ll take the time to get to know their personality and routine and make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you’re away. Your pet won’t just be looked after they’ll be treated like one of my own. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to dedicate to caring for your pets. I’m available around my working hours during the week and have more flexibility at weekends. I’m very active, so walks, playtime and keeping energetic dogs entertained fit naturally into my routine. I’m also happy to work around your pet’s usual routine as much as possible. Your pet’s safety and comfort will always come first. I understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and individual needs, so I’ll always follow the care instructions you provide. My previous kennel experience means I’m confident caring for different breeds, sizes and temperaments. Whether I’m caring for your pet in your home or taking them out for walks, they’ll be treated with the same care, patience and attention I give my own. “This was our first time using Rover and Odie’s first time away from family members we thought kennels wouldn’t be the right solution for Odie as he needs a quiet space being an older dog and after hours of scrolling for the right person we came across Michael. Reading his profile gave us reassurance and confidence that he would be the right person to look after our boy with his home offering a home from home environment, quiet space, meeting routines, patience and understanding of his personality he ticked all the boxes! Michael was quick to respond with any queries before we went ahead with booking. We received lovely pictures and videos of Odie out on walks and snuggled up at his home and he looked very happy and content throughout the whole Holiday.We had no worries or concerns at any point.
