Eva offered a meet up and it was very reassuring to see her home and she immediately put me at ease. Otis had a great couple of days with her - he particularly enjoyed her wonderful garden; exploring it kept him very entertained! Eva provided regular updates and sent photos, which were much appreciated. She was very patient with him when he was a little apprehensive of her stairs (the stairs are fine - he is just a little scared of stairs in general!). She took great care of him and followed our routines at home. I would not hesitate to use Eva again and would highly recommend her to others (especially those who are a little apprehensive about leaving their previous pup!).”

About: I have grown up with a household full all animals ranging from insects, rodents, cats and dogs. I have looked after and walked dogs since I was 15, and have owned dogs for the last 13 years. I have always had a passion for animals and hold an honors degree in animal behaviour. I have always rescued dogs (greyhounds) and take on the older ones with behavioural or health challenges. I have a lot of experience with older dogs and dogs that come with additional care requirements. I have completed dog first aid, cared for dogs with severe injuries and health issues ranging from dog attacks to advanced cancers, organ failure and spinal issues. I am very experienced in administering medications for unwell animals and a dab hand with vet-wrap for those clumsier pups (side effect of owning sighthounds). I work full time, however I will be taking your dogs into work with me where it is a dog friendly environment. They will receive 24hr care. There are fields and woodlands nearby for walks. I will tailor my care for you pets. I have a good size house with a fully fenced garden. The fence is 6ft so they will be secure. Your pets will be able to roam free, however I do have a crate for any animals that prefer to sleep in them or younger ones that might need time outs to continue crate training.

About: Dogs have always been a big part of Keith and I. We have grown up with them, had our own dogs, and cared for dogs from puppyhood right through to their senior years. Keith and I have experience with Chihuahuas, Dachshunds and Border Terriers, as well as Schnauzers, Jack Russells and cross-breed dogs. We have also looked after dogs with different needs, including medication, special diets and different exercise routines. At one point, our family home had more than 10 dogs, so we are very used to making sure every dog is fed, cared for and gets plenty of individual attention and affection! We know how difficult it can feel leaving your dog with somebody else, particularly when travelling. That is one of the reasons we decided to offer boarding and day care. We want dogs staying with us to feel as comfortable and settled as possible, and for their owners to feel reassured that they are being properly looked after. We are happy to follow your dog's usual routine, including feeding times, walks, medication and any little habits that help them feel at home. A typical day with us can include morning and evening walks, plenty of time relaxing at home, lots of cuddles and, of course, regular photos and updates for you. We are particularly comfortable with small and medium-sized dogs, including puppies and senior dogs. Most importantly, we love having dogs around and would treat your dog as part of our home while they are staying with us. We have flexible working routines and work from home a couple of days a week, which means we can offer plenty of company and attention throughout the day. On day care days, dogs would not be left alone. We can fit walks, feeding, playtime, toilet breaks and rest around their usual routine, and we are happy to adapt to what they are already used to at home. We enjoy getting out for walks and have plenty of green spaces nearby, but we are equally happy with dogs who prefer a quieter day, shorter walks and lots of time relaxing on the sofa. We want every dog staying with us to feel safe, comfortable and at home. We live in a mid-terraced house with private front and rear outdoor space, and there are no children or other pets in the home. Dogs are welcome to relax with us on the sofa and furniture, and they can sleep in their own bed so we can keep things as familiar as possible. We always follow the owner's instructions around feeding, walks, medication, special diets and routines. We also take time to understand each dog's personality, including anything that may make them nervous, their usual habits and how they prefer to interact. We also know how reassuring it is to hear how your dog is doing while you are away, so we are very happy to send regular photos and updates during their stay.

About: I’ve always had dogs when growing up, 4 and 5 at a time, working and none working dogs which I loved to walk and train. I enjoy the outdoors and spend most of my free time walking and enjoying nature. My availability will mostly be weekends and school holidays as I work term time. However, I live a few minutes away from my place of work, and provided pet is not anxious or happy to be left for periods of time (no more than 3 hours), I am happy to consider during the week care to help owners if needed. All dogs will receive a minimum of three good walks a day and anything else that is needed. I live in an area which has access to lots of walks, long and short. As well as plenty of walks including beaches and trails just a car journey away if pet is ok to travel. I have a fenced garden, safe for dogs of all sizes. Your pet will be treated like a family member, lots of walks, kisses and cuddles, a place on the sofa and a bed to sleep in.

We have been trusted to use previous house sitters cars so I feel we are very responsible and trustworthy. If there is anything specific the animal or owner requires we are happy to accommodate this. We try to keep the animals weekly routine similar to what the owner would do. We are flexible in our day so would spend most of it with the animals. Pet care is full time for us so we have no other commitments. When in the owners home we try to replicate the same routine for the dogs as the owner would. Dogs are not left for more than 4 hours.
About: Boarding Kennels are a small purpose built, family run dog boarding facility based on our family farm 10 miles west of Durham city. The kennels are run by Ellie, who has both owned and had a passion for dogs their entire lives. Ellie now has a small team of Cocker Spaniels who are gundog trained and love being out working during the shooting season. Being small scale and a dog owner myself, I can offer a bespoke boarding service to your dog, where they will be treated as one of my own. I welcome dogs of all sizes, ages and special requirements. Including puppies, elderly dogs, working dogs, entire males and unspayed females. I work from home, and have a flexible routine meaning we have availability to look after dogs and cats 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. I have spent a long time planning my kennels to make them somewhere I would be happy to leave my own dogs. Therefore each kennel has a private heated and insulated sleeping area, as well as a covered individual run with lots of natural light. Dogs will have plenty of opportunity to explore our private farmland and woods while exercising. As standard I supply bedding, towels, leads, bowls and toys. However you are more than welcome to supply your own, as well as many other possessions you feel your dog will need while staying.

About: I've been around animals for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for a wide variety of pets, from dogs and cats to many other small and larger animals. Growing up surrounded by animals has given me the confidence to understand their individual personalities and needs. About: I have grown up with a household full all animals ranging from insects, rodents, cats and dogs. I have looked after and walked dogs since I was 15, and have owned dogs for the last 13 years. I have always had a passion for animals and hold an honors degree in animal behaviour. I have always rescued dogs (greyhounds) and take on the older ones with behavioural or health challenges. I have a lot of experience with older dogs and dogs that come with additional care requirements. I have completed dog first aid, cared for dogs with severe injuries and health issues ranging from dog attacks to advanced cancers, organ failure and spinal issues. I am very experienced in administering medications for unwell animals and a dab hand with vet-wrap for those clumsier pups (side effect of owning sighthounds). I work full time, however I will be taking your dogs into work with me where it is a dog friendly environment. They will receive 24hr care. There are fields and woodlands nearby for walks. I will tailor my care for you pets. I have a good size house with a fully fenced garden. The fence is 6ft so they will be secure. Your pets will be able to roam free, however I do have a crate for any animals that prefer to sleep in them or younger ones that might need time outs to continue crate training.
