About: Hi! I’m an experienced and caring dog boarder based in Crookes. I’ve spent many years looking after friends’ and family members’ dogs - everything from bouncy puppies to nervous rescues - and I have a particular soft spot (and lots of experience!) with rescue sighthounds. My own dog Misty is a sweet and confident saluki lurcher who’s brilliant at helping more anxious dogs open up. She’s gentle, well-socialised, and loves having a canine companion around (which is part of why I decided to offer boarding alongside my mostly work-from-home job!) I live in a terraced house with a secure garden, right next to a lovely park with enclosed dog areas - perfect for safe off-lead runs, especially for dogs with a strong chase instinct or unreliable recall. I’ll never leave your dog outside unattended, and they’ll be treated like one of the family while they’re here. Dogs are allowed on the sofa and the bed (if that’s what they’re used to!), and Misty is happy to share her toys and chews. Your dog can sleep wherever they feel most at home - on their own bed, the sofa, or even in the bedroom with us. I only take one guest dog at a time to ensure they get plenty of one-on-one care and attention. I take Misty for 3 to 4 walks a day, due to our proximity to the park - anything from quick 15-minute toilet breaks to hour-long park walks, depending on the dog's energy and needs. I’m home all day Wednesday and Thursday, and available from 2pm onwards on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Weekend availability varies but when I’m caring for a dog, I’ll never be out for more than 6 hours at a time. I feed Misty twice a day, morning and evening, but I’m happy to follow whatever routine your dog is used to. I can also administer medication or accommodate special needs - just let me know at the meet and greet so I can fully understand what’s needed. To help your dog settle in comfortably, please bring: - Food and feeding instructions - Collar/harness and lead - Your dog’s bed or blanket - Any medication if needed - Optional: a favourite toy for comfort I have plenty of toys, bowls, and treats here - no need to overpack! Meet & Greet I offer a free 30-minute meet and greet for all new bookings so that you and your dog can get to know me and Misty in person. It’s really important to me that everyone feels relaxed and confident before a stay. A Quick Note on Separation Anxiety If your dog struggles to be left alone, even for short periods, please let me know in advance. Whilst I can accommodate mild separation anxiety, I may not be the best fit for dogs who require constant company or become distressed when left in another room or at home with Misty. We’ll chat through this during the meet and greet to make sure it’s the right match. If you have any questions or would like to set up a meet and greet, I’d love to hear from you and meet your pup! I work mostly from home and spend a lot of time with Misty, so your dog will have plenty of company and attention throughout the day. I’m home all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and from early afternoon onwards on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. Weekend availability varies, but I’ll never be away for more than 6 hours. Misty and I usually go for 3–4 walks a day at our local park, which has large open spaces and enclosed dog areas ideal for safe off-lead play. Walks vary from 15 minutes to an hour depending on the weather, energy levels and needs of the dog. I’m happy to tailor walk lengths and playtime based on your dog’s age and activity level. Your dog will be treated like one of the family while they stay with us. I live in a terraced house in Crookes with a secure, fully enclosed garden - but dogs are always supervised when outside. Walks take place at our local park, just a few minutes away, and I only let dogs off-lead if I have your written permission and feel confident it’s safe to do so. Dogs are welcome throughout the house and can curl up on the sofa or bed if that’s what they’re used to at home. Misty has a great collection of toys and long-lasting chews, which she’s happy to share. I always supervise feeding and can feed dogs separately if needed. Misty eats twice a day - in the morning and evening - but I’ll happily follow whatever routine your dog is used to. Clean water is available at all times, and I’ll make sure your dog has a cosy spot to sleep and plenty of fuss and comfort while you're away.

“Payal has been absolutely incredible! Coco and Payal had an instant connection. It was great to see how closely they connected especially because coco is the type of dog to be cautious of some people. I would definitely recommend!!”
