About: I have been around dogs from birth and spent much time looking after my parents collie which included long country walks, feeding and grooming. When I met my partner Jo later on, we got ourselves a large house with a fenced off garden, and not long after, we adopted our first rescue dog, Ben, a springer spaniel. Unfortunately due to health issues, we did not have Ben very long, but we made sure he had a good, happy life. Some time later, we adopted another rescue dog, Bonnie, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel. We quickly found that Bonnie was not settling well and required the company of another dog so we then adopted Amity, a springer spaniel, as a companion. We thoroughly enjoyed looking after our 3 dogs with walks, feeding, administering medication when needed, and tending to any other needs. Our dogs always came first, were very much part of the family, and had happy lives and a home where they were loved. Sadly, all our dogs have now passed away but we still want to offer up our home to other people's dogs and look after them just as much as we did with our dogs. Myself and my partner both work part time, so we are at home for most of the day apart from one hour in the morning when we are both at work. We have a large fenced off garden for dogs to run around and play in. Dogs have free run of the house unless owners specify that they must not be in the bedroom or on furniture. We have an under stairs area for dogs who prefer a covered, quiet area to sleep in. I have pet sitters insurance to cover your dog while in our care and I also hold a DBS certificate. We will only take one owner's dog(s) for boarding at any time. We will never take dogs from multiple owners at the same time.
About: Hi, I’m Rob! 🐾 I’m an experienced dog walker and sitter who genuinely loves being around dogs. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds and ages, including walking up to 6 dogs at once. I work from home, so I’m able to give visiting dogs plenty of attention throughout the day, with lots of time for walks, play and company. I live in a quiet area with fields, trails and the beach just a short walk away, plus I have a secure fenced garden. I also have two older, friendly dogs of my own. They can be kept separate if your dog prefers their own space. High-energy dog? No problem. I’m happy to provide longer walks and exercise, including running if appropriate. Your dog will be treated like one of my own. ❤️ Before booking, I like to know about your dog’s energy level, walking needs, temperament, diet and anything else that helps me give them the best possible care. I currently have a flexible, work from home job so im able to provide 24hr attention to any dog visiting the house. As well as plenty of free time for walks and playtime I have a fenced garden and live near plenty of open fields, trails as well as a 5 minute walk to the beach. 2 older dogs with good temperaments also in the house, but can be separated if necessary
About: this is now my full time job. i’ve been looking after dogs for multiple years now - i can cater to needs very well. able to be kept separate from other people but me if needed! doggie photo updates will also happily be given! looking after fur babies isn’t a real job for me. i would happily move things around in my plans to make things work - i have a better day with a dog by my side. also gives me a reason to be active! i love taking dogs on trips out on the train to go have a really long scenic walk - let me know if this is okay! About: I have been a petsiitter, walker, companion for many years. I love all fur babies, recently looked after chickens too. I have a car, can work in York and surrounding areas. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm.
