Helen is lovely. She is gentle and kind and Diora has taken to her very well. I’m hoping this will turn out to be a lovely long term arrangement

About: Wherever I am, there’s usually a dog in my company. Preferably, several. They make life better! Adopting dogs has made my life better by allowing me to fully appreciate the joy of canine company. I’ve been a dog mum for over nine years, during which time I’ve looked after other lots of dogs - from dachshunds to jack russells, cockapoos and corgis. My own dog is well socialised, and dog sitting is a good way to have fun getting to know new breeds and personalities! Low or medium energy dogs are the best fit here, as Dolly enjoys chilling out at home on a blanket or three, when not running around the park or beach. I’m a writer and illustrator, which gives me the flexibility to welcome dogs into my home and take lunchtime walks and breaks according to what the dogs need. We live within walking distance of Thompson’s and Bute parks in Cardiff, as well as Leckwith and Sanitorium Park so any dog guests in my care will be taken on trips to some of these, as well as beach visits if they're staying for longer. Dinas Powys woods is another favourite walking spot during Spring and Summer. My phone camera is full of dog photography, I'll be happy to try to get some good snaps of your dog too. They’ll be welcomed as part of the family during their stay, and looked after with the same high level of care, attention, exercise and hugs as if they were my own. My day job allows me the time and flexibility for breaks and play, plus I'm happy to fit longer walks into my evenings depending on your dog’s needs. I have a walled garden which is completely secure for small to medium dogs. My dogs plus any guests tend to sleep in my home office during the day, and the living room during the evening. I am used to ensuring my own dogs are safe and secure, with harnesses, leads, and collars that carry their information.

About: I'm definitely not your average pet-sitter, as I spend my days surrounded by 12 rescue cats, 3 dogs and over 20 ex-bat chickens. I'm used to running an entire household and caring for all of these creatures - from feeding them to administering medicine. I'm used to walking big dogs and am not afraid of pooches with more boisterous personalities. Another aspect setting me apart from the crowd is that one of our kitties, Jacob, is paralysed from the waist down - meaning I have lots of experience with special-needs pets, too. As well as this, one of our dogs used to be very anti-social/is senior, so I'm very comfortable with these kinds of animals, too. My animals are my life and take up almost all of my time when I am at my family home. I love to be surrounded by adorable critters - absolutely nothing makes me happier. As a chicken owner, safety and security is a top priority for me, meaning I batten down the hatches every night to ensure predators are kept away. When it comes to dogs and cats, I am very happy to oblige with whatever security regulations a pet owner sets out for me. I pride myself on my practicality, diligence and precision, so a pet owner can be safe in the knowledge that their pooches would be well taken care of.

Megan took our puppy for a walk for the first time today, it is the first time we have ever left her with any one other than family and she came back very happy with a wagging tail. Megan was very accommodating, and sent a photo to let us know she was okay.

About: I’m a full time marketing executive for a company in Newtown and photographer part time with my photography business Seren Neve Photography. I tend to work from home quite a bit so anyone local that needs someone popping in to check in on their animals I’m happy to! I have over 10 years of experience with being around and looking after dogs, I used to have a Labrador so I’m capable of looking after a bigger dog also. One of our french bulldogs has severe allergies to where we have to give her medication 24/7 so I’m also capable of looking after a dog/cat who needs to take tablets in foods. I love to keep fit and I love going for long walks so I’m very capable with taking dogs on a nice long and calming walk, or if they prefer short I’m more than happy to do that as well and then come back to play with them in the garden/house. I love all dogs and cats, from big to small so I would be really happy to look after any! I tend to be free most evenings after work and majority of the time on weekends if I’m not out and about - again this can be handy if people need someone to walk their dogs. I will only visit other peoples houses as I already have 3 dogs at my family home. I would prefer going to other peoples houses.

Georgia is the most empathetic person I know and this definitely extends to animals. She takes care of the families' 3 dogs and 12 cats, as well as chickens. She's very responsible and would never do anything to put anyone or an animal at risk. She is the absolute best person to trust your furry friend with, they will be treated like royalty! You can't do better.
