About: I've loved animals my whole life. I grew up with my west highland white terrier sister and a menagerie of other pets. Seeing and spending time with animals is 100% my happy place. My parents have always had Westies who I have looked after and walked on many occasions. When they had a pair of Westies it was definitely challenging when walking them (the dogs, not my parents). One trick was when one of them would distract you whilst the other one rolled in horse or fox poo and when they were on their double lead they were masters of going opposite sides of obstacles and getting stuck! I've also had plenty of experience looking after friends' pets. Most recently I've looked after my best friend's German Shepherd, Sheltie and Siberian cat. I'm honestly not sure who enjoyed it most – me or them. My friends said I spent more time playing with their pets and fussing them than they normally do. Whilst I was between jobs a few years ago I also did doggy walking for Animal Lifeline. It was hard seeing them in the shelter but nice to be able to take them out of their cages and I certainly got plenty of experience picking up poos. I've recently had a change in circumstances and I am now trying to turn my hobby into a living as an artist/crafter specialising in pet portraits and wildlife. I'm often at the Makers Market in Trentham and I love it because I get to steal lots of fusses from the dogs that walk past. It's also made me realise that those little moments of fuss were just not enough for me. Joining Rover gives me even more of what I love – sharing my time with animals. I think it's fair to say I'm better with dogs than people. As a self employed artist my schedule is very flexible. I need several hours per day to work on my art but the timing of that is completely within my control. My priority making sure your fur babies are happy, safe and secure. I will take your lead regarding existing any routines they have and am happy to meet and greet with you beforehand to ensure your comfort in trusting me.

Caring for animals brings balance to my day; I genuinely find it rewarding and relaxing. Whether I’m fitting a walk in before uni or checking in on a cat in the evening, I make sure their needs come first and are part of my routine. (I apologise if I’m unable to accommodate your pet’s care at certain times due to my university schedule and placement commitments. I’ll always do my best to be flexible and communicate clearly in advance.) For the comfort and wellbeing of your pet, I offer pet sitting and care visits in your home rather than mine. This keeps your pet in a familiar environment and reduces stress, especially for cats and other home loving pets. I’m more than happy to do drop in visits, feeding, walking and giving them company in their own space. I am just unavailable to provide care in my home at this time.

About: I grew up in household with 3 dogs (two of which did not get on!) and a cat. This has taught me to completely understand the challenges of pet ownership and the importance of understanding their individual needs, I adore dogs and cats alike and grasp that they’re truly family members. I have frequently been in total care of my animals since I was 11 years old experiencing the true joys of pet ownership! I am full time teacher and with the upcoming summer holidays my schedule will start to free up significantly throughout the week days! Weekends and later hours can of course also be discussed! I promise to both treat homes and pets with the upmost respect! It is not only your home but also your pets, this is a relationship and dynamic that I myself understand well and will cater to all needs and requests to the best of my abilities! I have no issues with any size pets and will do my due diligence to understand a situation before I enter it.

About: I've had a poodle for 8 years now and we've just introduced a second one into the home. They are our world and love walks and cuddles. I am looking to leave my current role to be able to take this on full time. Fingers crossed it takes off and we can fit around you. Fenced garden for play time. Lots of nice walks in the local area as well where they can be off lead and run around whilst chasing balls.

About: We have our own cocker spaniel dog who is 2 and is our entire world! Finding someone outside of family to care for him was a huge deal for us and so we decided we would be the perfect fit for other dog owners to allow them to feel completely at ease leaving their dog in our home where you know they will be loved and taken care of as though they are our own!🐾 We both work full time but one of us is always home to care for our boy Ralph so this would be the case for your pet too! We have a fairly sized garden which is fenced all the way round with a 6 foot fence, perfectly dog safe and friendly for your pet!

About: I’ve grown up with all sorts of animals from childhood and have always found that I naturally connect really well with animals. I am a qualified anaesthetic operating department practitioner in the NHS and I can absolutely follow any complex or structured needs for your fur baby, I have very good knowledge in healthcare pertaining to animals and people! I am very well versed in puppy training and looking after older pups as well. I do also have my own pup, who is a 6 month old lab that’s very friendly, so if your dog needs any socialisation I would be happy to provide this in a controlled environment. I work pet care around my full time work. I generally have 4 days off in the week, which is randomised and changes each week, so my calendar will match my availability and may seem very random, but if I am given a few months notice, I can book days off work and work other days of the week to accommodate holidays for you! I offer loads of play time, walks around a lovely new estate with plenty of paths, I have a nice spacious fenced in back garden for pets to roam and run around.

About: I grew up with 4 cats, 2 dogs and 2 rabbits, later on having 2 more rabbits and 2 more dogs. Then as an adult I now have 2 cats of my own 🐈 Katy and Geoffrey. I would love to also have a dog but due to working in social care I work 12 hour shifts so unable to at present. But this does give me 3-4 days off to help others with caring for their pets I have 2 cats of my own Katy and Geoffrey. I work 12 hours shifts, one week working 3 days, 3 the following week. This gives me either 3 or 4 days off a week to support others with pet sitting or dog walks where required I use pet sitters myself so know how much I worry about my own cats and how much all the small details matter. I'm a stickler for writing up lists and the cats preferences, so will ensure that I meet all your needs/requirements.

About: I have taken care of a whole manner of animals and had a passion for animal care since I was 10 years old, which is when I started dog walking. Since starting my vet school training, I have looked after both cats and dogs, as well as working in both a cattery and kennels. I have lots of experience with both puppies and senior dogs as I have owned dogs myself throughout the years. I am happy to cater to any needs owners or dogs may have. Any animals that are in my care will be treated like my own and can sleep on my bed whenever they like. I am the kind of person to take your furry friend around with me all day. I love to take dogs out in my car to explore somewhere new. I love to have a companion to come running with me as well as take them with me to a coffee shop afterward! I have lots of previous experience with bully breeds as I have owned them myself, so I understand their quirks and how they wouldn’t be suited to kennels boarding! However, I live 5 minutes away from where I am studying, so I can travel back to take animals out for a walk or for the toilet when needed. I have an active lifestyle and go out running nearly every day, so dogs that love a walk will be happy with me. Any animals that are in my care will be treated like my own and can sleep on my bed whenever they like. I unfortunately dont have a garden however there is a large park across the road from where i live so I can take out for the toilet and a sniff round when needed.

This experience has taught me how to confidently handle animals with different needs, temperaments, and energy levels. Pet care is a natural part of my weekly routine, as I run an animal services business. I regularly provide walks, home visits, and behaviour-friendly support for clients. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their usual routine as closely as possible, offering calm, attentive care, enrichment, exercise, and companionship throughout each visit.

About: I helped in training both my dogs, im not afraid of loud or big dogs. I will take care of your home and your furry little friends. Incluiding cats as I have two. I am available for petsitting on weedkends and wedenesdays as I have university the rest of the time. But in my spare time i am happy to take care of your fury friends I will care for all your animals at your home, toliet breaks and lovely local walks in your area. And ill make sure to play with them and there toys the whole time.

About: I've grown up around cats and dogs, and I am confident with any size or breed. I have regularly looked after friends' pets. I can work with dogs to improve lead walking or recall (using a long line for safety), and I am able to train puppies in all the basics of good manners. I am currently available for doggy daycare on the weekends, but will be working from home from July onwards, so will have plenty of time to look after your dog. From the summer, I will be available for daycare, walks and home visits. I have a fully secure back garden and three friendly dogs to keep your furry best friend company. All of my dogs are fully vaccinated and comfortable around young puppies. There is also plenty of space in the house should anyone need a time out. I have areas for on and off-lead walks on the doorstep. I have a long line for your dog's safety while they enjoy access to open spaces.
