About: I have over 8 years of experience caring for dogs and cats, including working in a home boarding environment. I now offer drop-in visits and dog walking, providing reliable, calm and attentive care for pets in their own home or on their regular walks. I have experience with rescue dogs, young puppies, and more nervous or reactive animals, and I always adapt my approach to suit each pet’s needs. I’m trusted by friends, family, and clients to feed, walk, check in, and spend quality time with their pets, making sure they feel safe, settled, and well cared for while their owners are away. I understand how important consistency is for both cats and dogs, so I aim to keep timings regular to help them feel settled and comfortable while you’re away. When caring for pets in your home, I take a calm, respectful, and reliable approach to make sure they feel safe and comfortable in their own environment. I carefully follow all instructions, including feeding, walking, medication if needed, and maintaining routines. I have experience with both confident and more nervous or reactive animals, and I always adapt my approach to suit each pet. I ensure your home is left secure after every visit, giving you peace of mind while you’re away.

We met Irina today as the meet and greet prior to her boarding our dog, and we left feeling confident and reassured that he will be in good hands. She clearly knows dogs and how to manage their 'quirks'..! Most of all she came across as caring and kind.

About: Having had dogs in the family since I was a child and having my own for the past 12 years, I have always loved taking care of them. I have looked after all sorts of breeds, over the years, big and small, and love them all. I am Dog First Aid Trained and have looked after dogs from puppies to senior dogs. I am a full time dog walker and sitter and have availability for new dogs. All sitting is currently done within the owners own home. I like to keep dogs in their normal routine, as much as possible. With it being good to mix up their walks in different places, I will always stick to owners recommendations and discuss and changes in advance.

Angie is EXCELLENT! From initial contact communication was great, we needed someone to walk our dog for initially 4 days then extended it 8 which she accommodated for us. The initial meet & greet went brilliant, our dog Iggi can be reticent with people she doesn’t know but immediately warmed to Angie. She excitedly greeted her when going on a walk and Angie always sent a little report with each walk and a couple of photos. Iggi came back from each walk sated and happy. We cannot praise Angie highly enough and will use her in future when we are in the area visiting family & friends

Today Oscar visited us again, my dogs recognised him immediately and were very happy of seeing him again. This time after walking my 2 boxers together he also helped me to teach them how to use a special stair for the car boot which I have recently purchased. I can tell that the whole experience was very positive. I learn a lot from Oscar every time on how to interact with my dogs, how to create an easy going environment for the future. Visibly he has a wealth of knowledge on training dogs and control them with kindness, calmness and good energy.

About: Hi, I’m Harriet, thanks for visiting my profile! My darling 15 year old rescue Jack Russell passed away in 2025 and I’m missing the company and love of walking with furry friends! Being a genuine lover of animals, I trained in the animal sector and academically achieved my HNC qualification in Animal Management. I have worked in a rescue kennels and cattery for 5 years, worked on a farm for 2 years, and I’ve also worked in a pet shop for 2 years; so I have a lot of experience with different temperaments of animals and their needs. I am a patient, enthusiastic, confident and knowledgeable. Pets are my passion and I would love to meet yours! I work shifts but I know my schedule far in advance so it is best for me to plan walks with your companion. Looking forward to meeting you and your pet! I am well experienced in medications, specialised diets, elderly dogs, and varied temperaments. My home is pet safe as I had my dog for 10 years. I do have a cat.

Elżbieta was extremely professional from start to finish. My dogs instantly fell in love with her, flipping on their backs for belly rubs! My dogs can be much but Elżbieta dealt with it with no issues and exceeded my expectations. After the walk I’ve had lots of pictures and being in a different country so far away it put my mind at ease to see an extensive report on the wellbeing of my babies. I would highly recommend Elzbieta, you can tell she has so much love for the animals she will do her utmost best to make sure they’re well looked after!

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for all manner of animals, I provide home-from-home care tailored to each pet's unique needs. I’m skilled in administering medication and always treat any pets in my care as if they were my own. I will always follow your pets’ routines in your absence, in order help them feel safe and secure. I’m accustomed to caring for animals of all ages; from the very young to the more senior, I love them all and their gorgeous unique personalities. I thoroughly enjoy making connections with my furry friends and their owners alike. I have many returning clients and go above and beyond to ensure both your pets and you are completely satisfied with all the services I provide. I have received many five star wonderful reviews from pet owners over the years. One of my greatest pleasures is walking in nature with the dogs in my care; whether it’s a woodland adventure or a splash by the water, I offer diverse walks for your fur babies to enjoy, that include opportunities for socialisation with other dogs and humans. I am home full time as I have an online tutoring business working with students around the world. This enables me to be very focused on the animals in my care throughout the day as my lessons are spread out across the working week. My home is ideally set up to care for your fur babies. I have a large enclosed garden perfect for your fur babies to run around in; they have full access to the garden as they desire as my back door is rarely closed. I have crates, should your pet need crating or you may of course provide your own. I adhere strictly to any special requirements you have regarding the care of your pet. I also have my own private walking field where all dogs are safe to run freely.

About: I have always had a strong love for animals, especially dogs, as I grew up surrounded by lots of different pets. Being around animals from a young age has helped me develop a natural understanding of how to care for them, be patient with them, and make sure they feel safe, happy and comfortable. My experience as a dog sitter is something I really enjoy because I love spending time with dogs and getting to know their individual personalities and needs. I understand the importance of giving them plenty of attention, exercise, fresh air and companionship while their owners are away. One of my favourite parts of dog sitting is taking dogs out for walks. I enjoy giving them the opportunity to explore, exercise and have fun, while also benefiting from being outdoors myself. Going for regular walks with a dog helps me stay active and supports my own health and wellbeing, making it something that I find both enjoyable and rewarding. Overall, looking after dogs is something I am passionate about. Growing up with pets, combined with my experience caring for animals, has taught me to be responsible, caring and attentive. I would always treat someone else's dog with the same care and respect that I would give to my own pets. Working from home allows me to provide dogs with the attention, care and companionship they need throughout the day. Because I work remotely, I have the flexibility to take regular breaks to feed them, let them outside, give them attention and take them out for walks. Being at home also means dogs are not left alone for long periods of time, which can help them feel more comfortable and settled. I can easily fit walks and playtime around my working schedule while still making sure my work commitments are met. I really enjoy being around dogs while I work, and I believe my home-based routine is ideal for dog sitting. It allows me to give each dog plenty of care and attention while providing a safe, calm and loving environment for them. Although my garden is on the smaller side, it is fully fenced and provides a safe and secure space for dogs to have regular toilet breaks and get some fresh air throughout the day. I understand that the garden is not intended to replace proper walks and exercise, but it is a convenient and secure space for quick toilet breaks whenever needed. I also live next to a beautiful bank and walking area, which is perfect for giving dogs plenty of exercise and outdoor stimulation. I regularly take my family’s dog there for walks and really enjoy spending time outdoors with him. The area provides a lovely environment for dogs to explore, get some exercise and enjoy their surroundings. Having both a secure garden and such a beautiful walking area nearby means I can provide dogs with regular toilet breaks, exercise and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.

About: I’ve had pets ever since I was little and loved looking after them. I absolutely love nature and all animals (I don’t eat meat and my dream is to save the environment). My dogs, Sky and Lolly, and my cat, Ivy, are my whole world so I know how scary it is to leave your fur-baby with someone new. I am absolutely dedicated to making sure that all animals in (and out of) my care are well looked after and feel safe and loved! I’ve got a big heart and can’t resist looking after any animal I come across. I’m currently working part time so I can be available for walks and boarding most evenings/ Thursdays and Fridays during the day. Availability: Monday: evenings Tuesday: N/A Wednesday: evenings Thursday: daytime/evenings Friday: daytime/evenings Saturday: *daytime/evenings (usually depends on the week)* Sunday: evenings I have an enclosed garden which is a decent size. I also have a very friendly pug/shih tzu cross who would be more than happy to keep your fur-baby company. (I also have a cat who is friendly but pretty much keeps herself to herself). Pets are allowed on the furniture. I’m very vigilant about pet safety.

About: I have a lifetime of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including having pets of my own and working in a kennels for a year. This gave me hands-on experience caring for a variety of dogs, understanding their different personalities, routines and needs. I’m confident with feeding, walking, cleaning, providing enrichment, and making sure animals feel safe, comfortable and cared for. I understand that every pet is an individual, and I always take the time to build trust and make them feel at ease. After losing my own pets, I’m looking forward to reconnecting with animals and providing the same love, attention and companionship to other people’s pets I work part-time and also work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to offer pet care around my working hours. I’m available for lunchtime visits and walks, as well as after-work appointments, making it easier to fit around your pet’s routine. I understand how important consistency and companionship are for pets, and I’ll always make sure they receive plenty of attention, care and affection while you’re away. I am available anytime during the weekends an my days off. I provide care in your pet’s own home, where they feel most comfortable and secure. I understand that keeping their normal routine is important, so I take the time to follow their usual feeding, walking and care schedule. During visits, I’ll provide companionship, playtime, feeding, fresh water, toilet breaks, and plenty of attention. For cats, I’ll respect their individual personalities and give them space if they need it while making sure they feel safe and cared for. I’ll always treat your home and your pets with the same care and respect I would give my own.

About: My prices may be a little higher than some on Rover, but I am the ONLY licensed dog boarder on this site in Peterborough. This means that I am regulated by the Council who have inspected my property and approved me as a professional boarder/daycare provider, governed by DEFRA regulations. Licence Number 119691 Issued by Peterborough City Council. Please use this link to receive £15 off your first booking with me…. https://www.rover.com/sit/lynnd34729 Please ensure any dog boarder or doggy daycare provider that you use, is licensed by the local Council. If they don’t display a license number, they haven’t got one !!! Any insurance that they may hold (including any that Rover give) will be invalidated….as any insurance will be, that you have. Don’t take the chance of something happening to your furbaby ! Ask to see the license…..to make sure. At Dixons dog sitters, we are BIG softies for all animals....but especially for dogs. I have owned and looked after dogs of my own now, for over 40 years and the profile photo shows our pup...7 year old Polly. I have now professionally looked after other peoples dogs for 4 years. I have full public liability insurance. I also hold a pet first aid certificate and a diploma in pet care. Our dog, Polly is such a fun little girl, who loves to play. Polly can sometimes be bossy with younger dogs, but once settled down they quickly form very close friendship bonds. She shares her toys, her home, her owners…and even her food with her new doggy friends. I am semi retired and work part time from home, so I am available 24/7 to pamper and care for your fur baby. Paul (my Husband) works nights, so is up and around from lunchtime every day, so there is ALWAYS someone at home. Your dog will never be left alone, and when it is too hot or too wet to go outside, there are always lots of toys to play with. They will DEFINITELY get spoiled when they holiday with Aunty Lynn and Uncle Paul ! We will care for small to medium sized dogs that fit the following criteria. However, we do occasionally take on bigger dogs (lurchers, labradors etc) Your dog needs to be socialised with other dogs. Not be aggressive in any way. Walk nicely on the lead. Be able to sleep alone or with other dogs. Please take a look at some of the reviews left by owners. Dixons dog sitters holds £2million public liability insurance and we will take care of your fur baby, as well as we take care of our own. I always insist on a meet and greet before your dog comes to stay. This will reassure you, that our house is a safe, secure, clean and loving environment. You get to meet our dog and any other dogs that are staying at the time. This makes the whole process so much easier to handle for everyone concerned. I know how stressful it can be, to leave your pets with anyone, other than family. We will never take dogs out in the heat of the day, or when it is raining heavily and won't let them off lead, unless told that they can be trusted to not run away. We have a large secure garden with shaded areas to play in, and enjoy indoor playtime and enrichment activities, when we are unable to go out for a walk, due to adverse weather conditions. We allow all dogs the full run of the house.....but have a barrier at the bottom of the stairs, and at the entrance to the kitchen, where they can be contained, if we open the front door. We are getting electric gates fitted soon. Every aspect is covered to keep them safe, secure and happy, whilst they are in my care. We always send lots of updates and photos to reassure owners. I am licensed to board 5 dogs at a time, so your dog needs to be well socialised and toilet trained. All dogs are walked once/twice a day....weather and ability dependant. All dogs are let out into our large secured garden to play, or go to the toilet every hour or so. In the Summer months, the back door is left open, so they can come and go as they please. Their last toilet break is usually around midnight. Your fur baby will become part of our family whilst you are away. There are no favourites in this household, and no forbidden areas. Everyone is treated the same. If Polly goes for a walk, so does your dog. If Polly gets a treat, so does your dog. You can enjoy your time away, knowing that your fur baby will not just be taken care of….they will be loved. Please read my testimonials. Lynn is semi retired and works from home and Paul works nights, so is up and about from lunchtime onwards. There is always at least one of us at home. We have a large private and secure garden where dogs can run and play. Enrichment activities are part of the day and walkies are twice daily. We have a barrier that is placed at the bottom of the stairs and a barrier to contain any dogs whilst we answer the front door.

About: I've had pets for about 15 years. I've had rabbits, guinea pigs and family dogs. Ive looked after family and firends dogs when they have gone on holiday and I have looked after neighbours pets when they have been away. We have a lovely cavalier king charles spaniel. He is very friendly with other dogs, very energetic and playful. I feel like I'm good at helping train puppies as the dogs I have had, have learnt really well with command's. Me and my partner bith work hybrid jobs so we will always have plenty of time to give to your dog, as one of us will always be hime. I Will normally take short notice bookings as I understand things can be planned last minute. We have a kitchen/diner that has patio doors straight onto the garden. The garden is all enclosed. Every dog I have looked after, runs around with Bailey playing in the garden. We love going on long walks and walking around the lakes. If they get mucky then I'll be happy to give them them a quick bath or just wash their paws.

Danielle looked after sungi yesterday. Sungi had an amazing time and really enjoyed her adventure. I get very worried being apart from Sungi but Danielle was incredibly reassuring, and reliable. It was such a relief to know sungi was safe and happy. Lovely to see the photos of their adventures too.
