“We have never left our cockerpoo off with anyone but family! but Stacey was brilliant. Oliver had a lovely time with Stacey’s family, he loves children and other dogs so he was in his element! Thank you for giving us a worry free break where we knew Oliver was in good hands by receiving photos and messages throughout the stay. 10/10 service would highly recommend. Stacey also took this booking very last minute with very quick responses which is very much appreciated! Thank you for looking after Bobby !”

“Our dog jack stayed with Tom and his family for a weekend, Jack was recovering from an operation which hadn't healed very well and needed medication. We will definitely be asking Tom to look after Jack again when we're away I'm the future. Couldn't be happier”

We would highly recommend Carla and Jim, they are caring, kind, thoughtful and really accommodating. We will definitely be using Carla and Jim again as we feel completely happy and safe leaving our dogs with them. Thank you again x”

About: I’ve had a cat my whole life looking after them in later life and all that entails, giving medication and any special food. Giving extra snuggles and cleaning up after them. Our current cat is indoor and so I’m used to cleaning out litter etc.

About: Even though my expertise are in dogs, I have had experience in caring for a couple cats during my 4 years of dog care. I realise each cat is different so am happy to learn about your animals needs and give them all the attention or space that they need. I have in the past house sat and cat sat for families for weeks at a time with no problems! I am currently studying a degree in bioveterinary sciences so my true passion is to make sure your animal is always safe and cared for.
“Irina was very helpful and cooperative and took good care of our furry boys while we were away. She was responsive to messages and easy to communicate with, and everything was handled as arranged. We appreciate her support and thank her for looking after them.”

About: I have had 5 cats in my life, I have also done drop in visits for friends’ cats. Cats are my favourite animal, I even have cat bedsheets! I understand that every cat’s needs are different so each pet’s care will be personalised.
About: Having had dogs in the family since I was a child and having my own for the past 12 years, I have always loved taking care of them. I have looked after all sorts of breeds, over the years, big and small, and love them all. I am Dog First Aid Trained and have looked after dogs from puppies to senior dogs. I am a full time dog walker and sitter and have availability for new dogs. All sitting is currently done within the owners own home. I like to keep dogs in their normal routine, as much as possible. With it being good to mix up their walks in different places, I will always stick to owners recommendations and discuss and changes in advance.
About: I am currently looking after a dog for a friend on a weekly basis, often going to the park, looking after him overnight, and sometimes day trips. I have raised my family dog since he was a puppy, so am fully aware of what that entails. When I go back home, I walk and take care of him. I live with my boyfriend who has had cats in the past, so I am used to having them in the house and how to take care of them. With this, I have lots of experience of walking, feeding, bathing, and keeping pets happy! I'm currently working from home full-time, so can look after pets at any time! My hours are also very flexible so I'm able to go for walks during my working day. I live in a flat, with a secure back garden that is fenced in. The front door to the flat block is always kept locked. I am happy to do whatever is needed to keep your pet safe and happy!
“Evie was attentive and very quick to respond to my request, I am incredibly happy in the treatment my cat received and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, friendly and knowledgeable pet owner. I will definitely be using her services again knowing full well I can trust Evie to be competent and able at short notice to be on call when needed. 10/10!”
About: My prices may be a little higher than some on Rover, but I am the ONLY licensed dog boarder on this site in Peterborough. This means that I am regulated by the Council who have inspected my property and approved me as a professional boarder/daycare provider, governed by DEFRA regulations. Licence Number 119691 Issued by Peterborough City Council. Please use this link to receive £15 off your first booking with me…. https://www.rover.com/sit/lynnd34729 Please ensure any dog boarder or doggy daycare provider that you use, is licensed by the local Council. If they don’t display a license number, they haven’t got one !!! Any insurance that they may hold (including any that Rover give) will be invalidated….as any insurance will be, that you have. Don’t take the chance of something happening to your furbaby ! Ask to see the license…..to make sure. At Dixons dog sitters, we are BIG softies for all animals....but especially for dogs. I have owned and looked after dogs of my own now, for over 40 years and the profile photo shows our pup...7 year old Polly. I have now professionally looked after other peoples dogs for 4 years. I have full public liability insurance. I also hold a pet first aid certificate and a diploma in pet care. Our dog, Polly is such a fun little girl, who loves to play. Polly can sometimes be bossy with younger dogs, but once settled down they quickly form very close friendship bonds. She shares her toys, her home, her owners…and even her food with her new doggy friends. I am semi retired and work part time from home, so I am available 24/7 to pamper and care for your fur baby. Paul (my Husband) works nights, so is up and around from lunchtime every day, so there is ALWAYS someone at home. Your dog will never be left alone, and when it is too hot or too wet to go outside, there are always lots of toys to play with. They will DEFINITELY get spoiled when they holiday with Aunty Lynn and Uncle Paul ! We will care for small to medium sized dogs that fit the following criteria. However, we do occasionally take on bigger dogs (lurchers, labradors etc) Your dog needs to be socialised with other dogs. Not be aggressive in any way. Walk nicely on the lead. Be able to sleep alone or with other dogs. Please take a look at some of the reviews left by owners. Dixons dog sitters holds £2million public liability insurance and we will take care of your fur baby, as well as we take care of our own. I always insist on a meet and greet before your dog comes to stay. This will reassure you, that our house is a safe, secure, clean and loving environment. You get to meet our dog and any other dogs that are staying at the time. This makes the whole process so much easier to handle for everyone concerned. I know how stressful it can be, to leave your pets with anyone, other than family. We will never take dogs out in the heat of the day, or when it is raining heavily and won't let them off lead, unless told that they can be trusted to not run away. We have a large secure garden with shaded areas to play in, and enjoy indoor playtime and enrichment activities, when we are unable to go out for a walk, due to adverse weather conditions. We allow all dogs the full run of the house.....but have a barrier at the bottom of the stairs, and at the entrance to the kitchen, where they can be contained, if we open the front door. We are getting electric gates fitted soon. Every aspect is covered to keep them safe, secure and happy, whilst they are in my care. We always send lots of updates and photos to reassure owners. I am licensed to board 5 dogs at a time, so your dog needs to be well socialised and toilet trained. All dogs are walked once/twice a day....weather and ability dependant. All dogs are let out into our large secured garden to play, or go to the toilet every hour or so. In the Summer months, the back door is left open, so they can come and go as they please. Their last toilet break is usually around midnight. Your fur baby will become part of our family whilst you are away. There are no favourites in this household, and no forbidden areas. Everyone is treated the same. If Polly goes for a walk, so does your dog. If Polly gets a treat, so does your dog. You can enjoy your time away, knowing that your fur baby will not just be taken care of….they will be loved. Please read my testimonials. Lynn is semi retired and works from home and Paul works nights, so is up and about from lunchtime onwards. There is always at least one of us at home. We have a large private and secure garden where dogs can run and play. Enrichment activities are part of the day and walkies are twice daily. We have a barrier that is placed at the bottom of the stairs and a barrier to contain any dogs whilst we answer the front door.

“Ingrid has been wonderful with Rua. Rua took to her and her husband straight away and loves spending time with them. They have been taking Rua on walks and looking after her for day boarding, and she always comes home happy and tired from all the fun. Ingrid is friendly, reliable, and easy to communicate with. We feel completely comfortable leaving Rua in her care and would highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve struggled myself to find the right home to look after my precious boys. I offer a home from home setting where your dog(s) will receive lots of cuddles and lots of playtime. We have two male cockapoos, one of which is of senior age. We have previously had Great Danes (gorgeous breed) and have grown up round a variety of breeds. We have two children age 10 and 13 who have grown up around animals and absolutely love dogs and if your dog wants to run around with smaller humans they’re all for it. I work from home part time so I’m available for cuddles on the sofa and they can play freely with open access to the enclosed garden. We will accommodate so that everything is familiar to what they are used to for example sleeping in the kitchen, sleeping in a bedroom, being on furniture and so forth. We have a Vets locally who our dogs are registered with and plenty of green areas for dogs to have good walks. Any questions please feel free to ask. I know they are your babies and we will take great care of them. I work from home part time and I’m kept company by my two cockerpoos; one who is old and quite happily chills and the other who is seven and can always be encouraged to play. We have a secure enclosed garden where they will have access to play freely. We have lots of walks and greenery close by so they don’t have to do the same route all the time and can adapt the walks we take to your dogs needs.
“Tom was brilliant with our Lab/Springer cross Ollie. This was the first time we were leaving him with someone other than family and we couldn’t be happier with how Tom and his family have welcomed Ollie into their home.”

“I had a great experience with Carla and Jim! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and caring pet care. From the start, they were incredibly friendly and approachable, which immediately put me at ease. They arranged a meet and greet beforehand, which was a really thoughtful touch and helped both me and my dog feel comfortable before the stay as it was my first time using Rover. During the time they were looking after my dog, they provided regular updates and photos, which was so reassuring and showed how well my dog was being cared for. It was clear that my dog was happy, relaxed, and getting plenty of attention. I really appreciated the level of care and communication throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Carla and Jim again and would definitely recommend them to other dog owners looking for someone trustworthy and kind to look after their pet! Thank you!”

About: Find us on Facebook: Daisy and Bings Paw Patrol - with Jess I have been relied upon for the last 10 years by friends, family and neighbours to look after their pets while they have been away. I have looked after hamsters, rabbits, gerbils, guinea pigs, cats, dogs and once a lizard... I show each and every animal that I take care of the same amount of love as I show my own pets. I currently work part-time as a carer. I usually have a max of 4 hours work in a day and drive all around Peterborough so can easily pop in to your pets and can make time for walks before and after my work. Please send me a message regardless of what my calendar looks like, I am always willing to work something out that will benefit me, you and your pet(s). I have an Old English Sheepdog who is the most kind and loving to everyone and all animals, if you would like, I can take your dog(s) out on walks with Daisy or I can take them alone. Let me know what you prefer and I will adhere to your wishes! Whatever the animal, I will show them as much love as I show my own pets.

About: They say you can tell if somebody is a good person when animals feel safe in their presence... Well, not to blow my own trumpet, but... toot toot! Animals really do seem to love me :-) I think it's because they know that I love them back! I've previously had a dog of my own, and then inherited my mum's dog a few years ago, who I'd bought & trained for my mum in the first place. I trained him off-lead too before giving him to her, so I think he'd always seen me as his real mummy & maybe thought my mum was just his girlfriend, ha! I'm a firm believer in making sure dogs get plenty of outdoor time & exercise- having moved up to Peterborough from London, my dog was previously an apartment dog so was used to being walked at least 3 times a day, and we've continued that up here, even though we have a large garden. I just don't think it's fair to dogs to let them sit indoors all day, so I'm always out walking with my dog, Baby. Family & friends have also always relied on me to take care of their dogs when they've been away, and I regularly meet up with friends & their fur babies for lots of dog socialising & fun. I work from home Monday to Friday until 2pm, which is when I pick up my 13month old daughter from nursery, but the nature of my job means I'm around for lots of cuddles & play throughout the day (even when I'm on Zoom calls!), and regular walks in the morning, at lunch time and in the evenings. I have a fenced garden and a fur baby of my own to keep your fur baby company if needed. My daughter has been around dogs since she was born, so she is used to patting dogs gently & not doing anything to annoy them. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and in any room that I'm in - it's their home too! However, if your dog has a tendency to moult, I'm afraid they won't be allowed on the beds.
About: Welcome all! After sadly losing our own beloved family dog, we have decided to join the site with the hopes of once again filling our home with the joy only animals can bring. Accumulating ten years of dedicated dog-sitting experience, which encompasses both our own beloved pets and others, my partner and I offer a reliable and loving home-away-from-home for your furry family member. Located in a quiet village with open fields right on our doorstep, we provide the perfect serene environment for your dog to enjoy peaceful walks and plenty of fresh air. We understand the importance of routine, safety, and abundant cuddles, and we're committed to providing your dog with a comfortable, happy stay while you're away. You can relax knowing your beloved companion is in experienced, caring hands. I am currently only studying at university so I am at home every day until July 9th where I begin to start part time, weekend only work. My partner Kane works full time on shift work, so there’s usually someone at home for most of the day. We have a fenced garden, and a house that the pet is free to roam around in. We allow pets on the furniture and bed regardless of how much hair they may shed. We also regularly deep clean our home ensuring a clean and safe environment for any pet. If there is any further requirements or questions please contact us.
“Helen was very sensitive to the fact Lily is unsure in unfamiliar places and let her find her own spot where she was comfortable. Lily was relaxed and happy when I picked her up.”

“Angie is EXCELLENT! From initial contact communication was great, we needed someone to walk our dog for initially 4 days then extended it 8 which she accommodated for us. The initial meet & greet went brilliant, our dog Iggi can be reticent with people she doesn’t know but immediately warmed to Angie. She excitedly greeted her when going on a walk and Angie always sent a little report with each walk and a couple of photos. Iggi came back from each walk sated and happy. We cannot praise Angie highly enough and will use her in future when we are in the area visiting family & friends”

“Hi Irina...it was a pleasure meeting you. Simba enjoyed his walks very much. Irina always used to come with a smile on her face and Simba used to be thrilled seeing her. She took good take care of our baby. We are very thankful for all your help. Hope to see you soon. We are your permanent customer for now on. Kind regards”

I am a full time dog walker and sitter and have availability for new dogs. All sitting is currently done within the owners own home. I like to keep dogs in their normal routine, as much as possible. With it being good to mix up their walks in different places, I will always stick to owners recommendations and discuss and changes in advance.
“Today Oscar visited us again, my dogs recognised him immediately and were very happy of seeing him again. This time after walking my 2 boxers together he also helped me to teach them how to use a special stair for the car boot which I have recently purchased. I can tell that the whole experience was very positive. I learn a lot from Oscar every time on how to interact with my dogs, how to create an easy going environment for the future. Visibly he has a wealth of knowledge on training dogs and control them with kindness, calmness and good energy.”
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was 5 years old, and to me, they’re more than pets—they’re family. My best friend growing up was Mikey, a lovable West Highland Terrier who stole everyone’s heart. After he passed, I realized just how special the bond between a dog and their human really is. That inspired me to help others feel confident leaving their furry friends in good hands. With years of experience, you’re not just getting someone who knows dogs—you’re getting someone who loves them. I’ve successfully trained all my own pups and taken part in multiple K-9 training sessions, which gave me the skills (and patience!) to guide pups of all personalities. I’m all about trust, care, and making sure your best friend feels safe, happy, and loved—just like they deserve. I currently work afternoon shifts, which means my mornings are wide open for quality time with your pup! I have a set schedule for the rest of the year, so planning ahead and making reliable arrangements is super easy. Whether it’s a morning walk, playtime, or just some company while you’re away, I’ve got the time and flexibility to be there for your dog. Hi there! I’m a trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely pet-loving individual with years of hands-on experience. Over the years, I’ve never run into a single issue—just happy pets and even happier owners! I believe communication is key, so I always send regular updates, photos, and check-ins to give you peace of mind while you’re away. You’ll always know your pet is safe, loved, and well cared for—and your home is in good hands too. Cleanliness is super important to me (my flat is always spotless—dust doesn’t stand a chance!), and I bring that same level of care and respect into your home. I also offer flexible pet-sitting packages to fit your schedule and needs—whether it’s daily visits, overnight stays, or just some extra playtime while you’re at work. Let’s find the perfect setup for you and your furry friend!
“Elzbieta took Echo for 2 walks for me and arranged a meet and greet before hand. Echo took to her very well. On the walks, I was updated after that Echo had done several pee and poo breaks and was sent some very lovely photos of him. She communicated well with me. I would definitely trust her to walk Echo again and recommend her to others looking for a dog walker 😊”

About: Looking for friendly and reliable pet care? I provide a fun and attentive service, to make sure that your pet feels cosy and at home. During your pet’s stay, I will send you regular photo updates and let you know how your fur babies are doing. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals. Growing up, I looked after many small pets including cats, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, fish, and even a few African land snails! As soon as I left school, I enrolled in an animal care course, where I developed lots of practical hands-on experience with small furry animals and exotics. Around this time, I also worked as a kennel worker in Glinton. I gained experience with a wide range of dogs, including dogs with difficult behavioural issues. I loved getting to know each dog and building a trusting relationship, to help them feel relaxed and confident during their stay. The most rewarding part of the job was helping timid dogs to come out of their shell, and see their unique personalities! If you're looking for a trustworthy and experienced dog walker, or need a reliable pet sitter, feel free to drop me a message. Relevant Experience 1 year as a kennel worker at Belham Wood Kennels, Glinton Work experience at Vets4Pets and doggy daycare centre Qualifications Higher National Certificate (Level 4) Animal Management Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management For new clients, please provide information about your pet’s daily routine, likes/dislikes, any behavioural quirks/issues, how well they get along with other dogs, and any other relevant information/instructions. Please note, I am unable to accept any bookings outside of Peterborough, as I do not currently drive. Currently, I have full availability throughout the Christmas holidays, for house sitting, drop-ins, and dog walking. On Friday evenings I work as a carer - either a split shift (6-7pm and 9-10pm) or a 2hr shift (7-9). For house sits, I ensure that all new clients meet with me in their homes and complete a questionnaire before I confirm bookings. The information on the questionnaire ensures that I have a full understanding of each dog's routines, behaviour, health status, and any signs to look out for. During the day, I look after pets according to the owner's instructions, and the dog's daily routine.

“Mandy was amazing and I would have no hesitation in recommending. The only challenge was the dogs didn’t appear to be as excited as they normally are when I return which speaks volumes! I also really appreciated the regular updates, photos and videos.”

“Eszter did an amazing job of looking after our dog Yukka for a night. She seemed to have a great time playing with the other dogs and getting lots of fusses and attention. Would definitely recommend her.”

“Shaun and his family looked after my dog so well - he had a wonderful time. They are very caring and they were very happy to walk and play with my dog. I am very grateful and I will certainly be calling on them again. Thank you!”

“Irina was amazing with my dog ozzy! she was very patient as he is very nervous with new people but she is a natural and I’m very happy to know he will be looked after while I go away 😁”

“Kaos really enjoyed his time away, he has some issues with having 1 eye and needing some meds but they looked after him well, even when he got stressed on day one. Calmed and enjoyed the rest of his stay. I would definitely recommend Billie and Kane as they were so understanding and he came back feeling happy and he was so excited when we got back which was lovely as he is heading to 16 years old but can be puppy like but needs the support too, Thank you both, can’t wait to book again..”

“Another successful stay … our pack of greyhounds are welcomed into their home and thoroughly spoilt with attention, walks and liver cake. I suspect it’s like visiting your favourite aunt and uncle :-)”

“Carment and her family looked after my German Short Haired Pointers over the bank holiday weekend. They were very welcoming when I dropped Otto and Henry off and I left feeling happy and confident that they would be well looked after. Their house is lovely with planty of space for the dogs and a great garden. Carmen snet me losts of videos and photos over the weekend showing Otto and Henry having a great time in the garden and on walks. I could tell when I picked them up theat they'd been well looked after and had got on well with the other dogs. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Carmen to anyone looking for a great home for their dogs to stay. Thank you Carmen. We''ll be back!”

“We’ve just picked up our pups and we’re SO happy with how they’ve been looked after! They were with Amy and Michael for 6 days, the longest we’ve been away since we got the girls so we were nervous about leaving them. But as soon as we went to meet the couple at their home we were bowled over by how kind and welcoming they were. The girls took to them straight away and our mind was made up that they would be the perfect people to look after our pups. While we were away Amy gave us updates and sent lovely photos to show us how they were getting on; making sure we knew they were eating well, going on walks and getting lots of fuss and cuddles! I would recommend this lovely, professional couple to anyone thinking of using dog sitters and we will be more than happy to use them again.”

“Catherine was great, was able to help us out fairly last minute, very friendly and clearly an animal lover! She even offered to pick up and drop off Suki for us. Suki came home happy and tuckered out! Would absolutely use Catherine again!”

“Helen looked after both our dogs at short notice, after an initial meeting with the dogs where Helen interacted with both of our dogs and then looked after them a week later Helen communicated with us brilliantly with photos of the dogs on walks and what they were doing in Helen’s house Helen administered our larger dogs medication as he’s just had an operation and also was great as we were waiting for scan results for him and could easily of not looked after them but Helen loved the company and both of our dogs loved the attention We would have no hesitation in recommending Helen or booking again and have already seen about them going back to Helen for when we move property Thanks Helen for doing a brilliant job with them both much appreciated”

“Sandra went above and beyond when our train was delayed meaning we would struggle to pick up the dogs on time and she drove the 30 mins each way to drop them off at my daughter’s house. Both dogs seemed to have enjoyed their time with Sandra. Such a shame she is over an hour away from my home.”

“Chester had another great stay with Rachel and Jason, they provided lots of updates and photos, all of which Chester looked like he was having so much fun! We would definitely recommend Rachel and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you guys!”

“Jo and Ian were the perfect sitters for our Millie. They keep us updated throughout her stay re how she was getting on and sent photos so we could see how relaxed and happy she was, as well as being perfectly spoilt throughout her stay. We would definitely use them again.”

“Hilly was wonderful with our dog, can't fault her at all. Brilliant communication, lovely house and garden and we were very confident we had left our dog in good hands”

About: I have experience caring for dogs since I was about 15 years old. I often helped my grandmother and close family friends with their dogs — walking them, feeding them and looking after them when they were busy or away. Through this experience I learned how to be patient, attentive and responsible with dogs of different personalities. I enjoy spending time with them, going on walks, playing and making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I work night shifts from Sunday night until Wednesday morning. On the other days, I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time for pet care. I am available for walks, visits, or overnight stays on most days, and I can adjust my schedule to fit your pet’s needs. I provide a clean, safe, and comfortable space for pets, whether at my home or theirs. I follow all instructions carefully and always supervise pets to keep them happy and secure. Owners get updates so they can relax while I care for their furry friends.
“Having needed to get my greyhound Rummy in somewhere for the weekend whilst I was away, I could not have been more lucky that Kane was available. After having never boarded Rummy in someone else's home I was a bit anxious but after conversing with Kane and then taking Rummy and seeing where he was staying those worries evaporated. Rummy settled in straight away. Kane kept me updated a couple of times a day and asked what my preference would be for the number of updates which I thought was very kind. When picking Rummy up he was pleased to see me but I could tell he'd had a great time. I have a very content dog and will 100% be using Kane in the future.”
