About: I have always loved animals and dogs in particular. I do think of them as family members and have always taken care of them in this way. I have learned a lot from training and taking care of my own dog. I am currently working part time in an ad-hoc capacity so choose my schedule. I do have a little boy who will sometimes need to be with me, he is used to dogs and very gentle. We are at home a lot of the time so looking after another dog would fit into my schedule very well. I have a fenced in garden and one friendly dog, lots of dog toys and we are often out playing in the garden. They are welcome to come inside or out as they need while they are here.

He bonded with Graham, napping on his feet and was very comfortable in Michelle's company. They are a lovely couple who are evident dog lovers and treat your pets as their own. Gino stayed with Monica, Pete and ollie their cockapoo for a week whilst we attended our daughter's wedding in Italy. They took care of him and loved him as if her was their own and he had a fantastic holiday with them. Monica kept in touch constantly with updates so this allowed us to relax and enjoy our break without worrying about our furr baby. Monica is great with the dogs and really understands dog behaviours and psychology. I would definitely love for them to look after gino again.”

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. I’ve also built up experience through TrustedHousesitters, looking after pets in their own homes and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while their owners are away. Now that I’m back in the UK and settled in York, I’d love to continue doing what I enjoy and help care for your pets. While I’m not currently able to have a dog of my own, this gives me the perfect opportunity to enjoy plenty of walks, playtime and cuddles with yours! I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own, taking the time to understand their individual personalities, routines and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks and adventures, a good game of fetch, or simply curling up on the sofa for some company, I’m here to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to leave your pet in someone you can trust, and I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind while they’re in my care. I’m primarily available for house-sitting and dog walks at weekends, as I work full-time during the week. Depending on the location, I may also be able to offer midday dog walks during the week, so please feel free to get in touch and I can see what might work. I’d also be happy to consider boarding, although as I live in a flat, this would depend on the size, temperament and individual needs of your pet. I’m always happy to have a chat beforehand to make sure I can provide a comfortable and suitable environment for them. I live in a flat in the city centre, and although I don’t have a garden, I’m a very outdoorsy person and love getting out for walks. I’m often down by the river exploring the local area, usually with a coffee stop at one of the many lovely cafés along the way — so there’s no shortage of opportunities for walks and adventures! When house-sitting, I’m very happy to follow your usual routines and instructions closely. I know every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for while you’re away.
