“This was the first time I was leaving Gizmo alone. Abbie was brilliant, Gizmo liked her instantly. I definitely felt better seeing her being her usual cuddly self. I would absolutely recommend Abbie.”

About: I’ve been deeply interested in pet care all my life. I’ve been studying dogs since I was young, when I found my parents’ collection of breed catalogues! Since then, I have gained experience volunteering at a rescue centre when I was living in Dublin and more recently have been developing my handling skills with 6 month old GSD puppy, training as a service animal. Since working with him I have noticed improvements in obedience and especially with challenging behaviours such as barking at strangers. I love watching his confidence grow and I have received positive feedback from his owners. I have owned two rescue boxers of my own, both with their own unique stories and because of how I grew up I am confident with dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also keep small animals, including rodents and amphibians. As a student I have a flexible schedule. During summer I am available anytime outside of regular appointments and structure my days around friends, exercise, spending time outdoors and engaging with my hobbies. I ask pet owners and clients to provide me with a list of rules and instructions while I am staying in their home. I love sending pictures and updates, reassuring owners that their pets are relaxed and safely enriched.

About: Hello, my name is Olivia! I walk dogs in the west end of Glasgow. Being the proud owner of a playful Red Setter, I am aware of the mental health benefits that come with taking our dogs on regular walks in addition to their physical health! A dog that is active has fewer behavioural problems and leads a happier life.Every dog companion I take care of receives lots of exercise, vocal praise, positive reinforcement, and treats on occasion. If you need to talk about any additional needs for your dog's care, don't hesitate to get in touch with me. I am home based always, my priority is your pet and yourself. My schedule works around Rover, therefore my flexibility is great! I amend my day and tasks to their needs and requirements. Your dog companion will enjoy company from my two amazing dogs and purposely gated play garden for dogs. The fence is specialised to prevent dogs digging under or getting over. Easily, if necessary, I can crate your dog. I would replicate your dog’s normal routine in my household for familiarity.

About: Caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I’ve worked with pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to gentle senior dogs, and I truly enjoy building trust and understanding with each one. Whether it’s a playful walk or a quiet cuddle, I approach every pet with patience, kindness, and genuine care. I’m a secondary school teacher during term time, so life can get pretty full-on with lessons, marking, and managing a busy classroom. Now that I’m on summer holidays, I finally have the time to slow down and enjoy one of my favourite things—spending time with animals. Pet care fits perfectly into my summer routine. Whether it’s morning walks, playtime in the garden, or simply keeping a pet company while their owners are away, I genuinely enjoy being around animals. They bring a sense of calm and joy that’s completely different from the classroom (and, let’s be honest, they’re often a bit less dramatic than teenagers!). Looking after pets doesn’t feel like a job—it’s something I truly love. I take the time to get to know each animal and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for. It’s a lovely way to spend my break, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether caring for pets in my flat or in their owner’s home, I would always make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and well looked after. In my own flat, I’d create a calm and cosy space with plenty of room for rest and play, sticking to a consistent routine to help them feel at ease. If I’m in their home, I’d follow their usual schedule closely—feeding times, walk routines, favourite toys or spots to nap—whatever helps them feel most secure. I’d take time to build trust, give lots of attention and affection, and make sure they’re never short on company or care. My aim is always to treat every pet as if they were my own, whether they’re with me or I’m with them.

About: Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness come first—whether they’re staying with me or I’m caring for them in your home. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment, free from hazards and tailored to their needs. I follow your instructions closely, from feeding schedules and daily routines to special care requirements, and I treat your home with the utmost respect. You’ll receive regular updates and photos, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in caring hands. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine as I work part-time and have a flexible schedule. This allows me to dedicate quality time to each pet, whether it’s during the day, evenings, or weekends. I’m also available on weekends, which makes it easy for me to accommodate different needs like walks, drop-ins, or overnight stays. I create a safe, welcoming environment tailored to each pet’s needs—whether in my home or yours. At my place, pets enjoy a clean, hazard-free space with plenty of attention and affection. If I’m caring for them in their own home, I stick closely to their routine to ensure they feel secure and stress-free. I always treat pets like family and handle every home with care and respect, building trust through consistent, reliable, and loving care.

“Lucy was amazing with our little rescue cat. He is incredibly nervous of new people and mostly hid during her visits (very normal for him!) but she explained her gentle and patient approach at our meet and greet and left a detailed description of each of her visits, which was so reassuring! Buzz actually felt confident enough during Lucy’s second visit to stay in his bed and watch her from a distance (he usually makes a quick dash out of the room to find a better hiding spot). I have full trust and confidence in Lucy and will absolutely use her services again. Thank you!! Xx”

“Leanne has done a drop-in session to check in on my doggo twice this week after an introductory session with her the week before. I received plenty of communication from Leanne along with some very good pictures and videos of them out in the sun. Thank you for the updates Leanne and definitely recommend to other dog owners with small dogs.”

About: I grew up in Norway in a family that loves animals—we always had pets, and my family still lives on a farm with dogs, cats, and sheep. I’ve been around animals my whole life, so being with them feels totally natural to me. I may not have training experience, but I’m caring, responsible, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with pets. Hi, I’m Karoline! I live in the Woodside area of Glasgow and study online, which means I’m home most of the day — perfect for giving your dog plenty of attention, cuddles, and long walks! Whether it’s a relaxed stroll along the canal or some playtime in Kelvingrove Park, your pup will get loads of fresh air, fun, and stimulation. I’ve grown up with dogs and absolutely adore them. We’re even thinking about getting one ourselves, but with a career change and some travel on the horizon, the timing isn’t quite right just yet. So in the meantime, I’d love the chance to care for your dog — they’ll be spoiled with love, company, and plenty of play. A little about me: I’m originally from the west coast of Norway and have called Glasgow home for over 15 years. I’m a keen traveller and love learning about different cultures and cuisines. My partner works in the merchant navy and is away for half the year, so having a furry friend to join me on walks around the West End and beyond would be an absolute joy. Here’s what I offer: Doggy Daycare – A calm, safe home environment where your dog can relax, play, and enjoy some company all day long. Dog Walking – Tailored walks to match your dog’s personality, energy, and needs. Overnight Stays – Your dog is welcome to stay over at our dog-friendly flat. Whether it’s one night or a few, they’ll have a comfy place to sleep and someone around to make them feel at home. Why choose me? A flexible schedule with plenty of daytime availability Close to amazing walking spots and parks Calm, quiet home with no other pets — all the attention is on your pup Regular photo and update check-ins so you’re always in the loop Friendly, reliable, and easy to chat to If you’d like to set up a little meet and greet, I’d love to hear from you — can’t wait to meet you and your pup! If you are new to Rover, feel free to add in this promo code for £15 off: https://www.rover.com/sit/karolh07572 At my home, pets have plenty of space and comfort. We live in a ground-floor maisonette flat with two entrances—one leads straight out to our private patio, which opens onto a grassy field that’s really popular with dog walkers. It’s a great spot for dogs to sniff around and stretch their legs. We’re also close to the canal, Kelvingrove Park, and the Botanic Gardens, so there are loads of lovely walking routes nearby. Inside, we’ve got a large living room and a medium-sized kitchen—lots of room for a dog to relax and feel at home. Our private outdoor space is a real bonus, especially in the city centre. In the warmer months, we’ll be setting up a paddling pool like our neighbours do, so dogs can cool off after their walks. Whether in my home or yours, I make sure pets are safe, comfortable, and treated like part of the family
