“I had reservations about using someone from this site for looking after my 2 Jack Russell Terriers, especially as 1 of my dogs is anxious in the city and I couldn't find anyone outwith the centre or built up areas. After reading reviews I opted to book El, who agreed to a pre-stay meet as a way to introduce ourselves and meet the dogs and of course get to know one another. There was plenty back and forth chat on here and I provided Bullet points on request for what the daily routine would look like. We were away for 3 days and El couldn't have been anymore helpful when I messaged to check up on things, providing updates on the days activities and plenty of photos. This eased my concerns significantly and allowed me to enjoy my rare time away. I would highly recommend booking El to anyone who needs a responsible petsitter and would also use El again without hesitation!”

About: I've regularely pet-sitted in the past 5 years, especially for small dogs, and my remote work and flexible setting allows plenty time for regular walks. I have a remote job and a flexible schedule that allows time for regular and long walks, if needed. I am very open to adapt to the pet's needs. I live close to a fenced park (Dalmeny Park) and two big parks (Leith Links and Pilrig Park). My flat also has a private fenced garden.

About: I have adopted a rescue 5 years ago and due to her anxiety, can administer medication and pick up on many behavioural signs before there is a problem. I have worked very regularly with a behaviourist and a vet behaviourist for over a year and a half, so I have great knowledge and experience with training, dog body language, positive reinforcement and many others. As much as I do not offer training services, I am happy to learn your dog's routines, key words and ongoing training so that I can stick to it as consistency is key. As my dog is shy, I do not accept puppies, reactive or hyperactive dogs. I am more than happy with all other dogs and that includes seniors as I have a private garden (and a flat on a ground floor so only 1 step) so they can go potty as often as they need. I also live 5 min from holyrood, so can take your pooch on a long walk if required. I work from home 4 days a week. My office day changes sometimes, but I'm usually in the office on Tuesday or Wednesday for half a day so I'm out for 5h. My office day can be easily changed to accommodate caring for your pet properly as long as I get a few days notice. It will be best if your dog doesn't have separation anxiety in case I need to pop out, but if SA is a thing, please just let me know so we can agree the right level of care. I have a fenced front garden and my flat is on the ground floor. No steps in the flat so perfect for seniors. I have a friendly but shy medium dog. I also have a spare dog bed, a bowl and a licky mat if it's easier to not carry all that every time. And of course your dog is welcome to play with my dog's toys.

“Aroa did an amazing job with Magnolia! She was communicative and provided lovely updates. Magnolia got time in the park, which she loves and plenty of walks. I could tell Magnolia had a great time with Aroa and was never bored :-) She came back to me happy and tired, which I think is the best sign. Would love to have to Aroa watch Magnolia again!!!!!!”
