“Ylva provided great care of my cat who I needed to leave for 4 nights, so Ylva was doing two drop in sessions each day to feed/change water bowl & play. That's been second time my cat was left with Ylva and this was a great experience again. I like the updates I was given and I could see my cat wasn't stressed on the pics and enjoyed his play time. I came back to happy cat & clean flat again. Can't recommend Ylva enough!”

About: I’ve taking care of dogs since I’m 12 years old. In my family, we have many dogs, and I love spending time with them. I am a dog person. I am good at making them trust me because I convey security to them. I am very carefuland affectionate with them. My concern is that they are safe and happy. I’m currently studying my masters, so I spend most of the in my house. I have a lot of time to plays with the puppies. I live in a very nice flat, really close to the Meadows. I don’t have pets with me but yours will be really happy here.

About: I've taken care of dogs since my first family foster dog at 12, including yorkies, labradors, spaniels and schnouzers. I love showing them all the love they deserve and taking them on long dog walks. I have dogsat previously which included popping in multiple times a day, staying for a few hours and ensuring the dog is fed and walked. I am currently on summer holiday from university so I am free all day everyday to look after your fur babies, allowing them to feel the same love they feel when they are with you! I am happy to follow your home rules in terms of animal safety and where you allow your pet to roam. Unfortunately I don't have the ability to care for them in my own home.

“Margaret did a wonderful job of looking after my two cats while I was away, and I’m so happy , and the cats are pleased and well fed, I had nothing to worry about just waiting for the videos of the cats playing 😌 10/10 and the Polaroid photo of the kitties - I love it Thankyou so much!”

“Digby loved his visits from Shea and I loved the daily updates and photos of him looking so relaxed and happy, especially as he can be a nervous boy at times. I would definitely recommend Shea and hope that she will be able to care for Digby again in the future.”

“Naomi has been amazing with our young puppy - she is reliable, flexible, gives us regular updates including photos and works on training with him during her visits. We would highly recommend her services!”

About: We'd love to have your puppy in our little home. We have a sweet 1 year old mini daschund and it's me and my fiance Fraser. My partner has had dogs his whole life and Pablo is my first dog who is basically my baby. He was a difficult dog so we've gone through lots and lots of training programs to get him to be a happy little guy and one year later he is thriving and making so many friends. We're great at showing the dogs a good, safe time and I spend a lot of time watching the dogs so no odd behaviors will go unnoticed. We take care of our neighbour's dogs reguarly - another little daschund and 2 bigger rescue dogs with both drop-in and daycare services. We'll make sure your pup has loads of fun with our mini daschund who is the most playful little bean. We both work from home every day and have a sweet pup called Pablo. He gets walks during the day and in the evening daily and we play with him throughout the day. He also loveessss other dogs so much and is dying for a best pal, so our pups would tire each other out. On the weekend we like to go for a longer walk, go to a park or a forest or the beach and take Pablo somewhere fun. Our own dog is the most spoiled puppy. He's got 4 beds in our apartment, always has access to water and lots and lots of treats. We do a potty break every 3-4 hours and first thing in the morning so your pup would never be uncomfortable and always have a safe comfy place to rest.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats in my home for more than 10 years. And I am also a professional equestrian rider and horse-keeper for 7 years. I am good at taking care of those big friends. I am a trustable pet sitter, especially for those big dogs. I am currently a student. During the vacation, I am available for whole day. If you need the dog walking and drop-in visits, please contact me at least one day before. My living place is not available to keep your fur babies. But, I am available to take the drop-in visits and dog walking. I have ten years experience to take care of your dogs, offering foods and waters, playing with them, and staying with them

About: I’ve had my own family schnauzer dog since 6 and after regularly volunteering in local dog shelters, i came to uni and worked with different types of animals, like horses, sheeps, cows & of course dogs and cats! I am currently in uni, so I love spending time with your pets indoor chilling together, or outdoor to have a little walk & exercise daily I will spend time cuddling your pets if they are needy, or I will play with them if they are energetic and needing to run around

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life, from helping family friends with their pets to assisting close friends in training their young dogs. My boyfriend and I also regularly look after his family dog, we love taking him on long walks and keeping him active and engaged. I’m reliable, experienced with dogs of all ages, and treat every pup like part of the family. Pet care fits naturally into our routine, my partner works from home Monday to Friday, so there’s always someone around during the day. I’m available in the evenings to give your dog plenty of attention and care. On weekends, we love walking around the city and spending time in parks, which is perfect for keeping dogs active and happy. We have a garden flat with a fenced shared outdoor space and plenty of nearby parks for walks. I follow each dog’s routine to keep them comfortable and happy, whether at our home or yours.

About: I currently own two dogs myself, both from completely different backgrounds. One of my dogs (greyhound) is a senior rescue which I trained myself and which makes major progress everyday despite having a rocky history with previous owners. The second one (whippet) I have had since she was a puppy and I have also trained her myself. My schedule is currently very flexible as I am a student living in Edinburgh. I absolutely love animals so spending time with them would be a pleasure for me. I do not provide sitting at my house due to my house also being my dogs house! Due to living in a flat I understand that not everybody has a garden or the ideal conditions for a pet and therefore makes a perfect excuse for long walks with your puppies.

About: I’ve taken care of our rescue dog at home for the past 5 years. She came to use on heat and very very fearful of humans but now she is like a different dog and hard to keep up with! I currently am working from home and spending time meeting friends for coffee or going for runs or to the gym which is around the corner from my house but primarily work at home. I love being outdoors and going on runs and big walks playing tourist and sight seeing the city. I have a double locked house and live in a fob secured building. The house is a big place covering three floors with a private garden. I like to make sure the dogs normal routine is somewhat adhered to to ensure they aren’t as anxious as they could be staying with someone new!

About: This profile is both Ellen and Finley. We are two friends new to Edinburgh that love dogs! We have both had dogs in our lives for as long as we can remember! Finley has had dogs as pets since he was a kid and his family currently have a gorgeous Irish Doodle called Eddie! Ellen has also had dogs throughout her life and loves looking after them :) We have been friends for 7 years and just moved to Edinburgh in January! Finley works full time from home and Ellen is looking for work at the moment but is training to be a florist part time. We have a very warm and cosy home for your furry baby to get comfortable during these cold days and my flat is located right by Calton Hill which is perfect for a good walk whenever is needed.

About: I had a beautiful black lab since I was 8 all the way until I was 22, who I miss everyday. I have been looking for some furry friends to help fill the dog shaped hole in my heart that he left. I would regularly take him on long walks, groom and feed him as well as plenty of hugs. I work full-time however some days in the office and some days working from home, so my schedule is quite flexible, especially in the evening and weekends. I live with my boyfriend who is also a big dog lover so your dog will have plenty company and attention, we both want a dog in the future so will also be good practice for us! Also I'm looking for motivation to go on more walks, so having a furry friend will be an excellent excuse. Also open to sleepover and holiday stays too. Look forward to getting to know your dogs! I live in a 1 bed flat. I live close to many parks as well a 10-minute walk from Holyrood park and Leith links, so many choices to choose from when it comes to walks.I will be very respectful when it comes to your rules out-with and within your home.

About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover with experience caring for pets of all kinds. I used to have a Labrador who brought so much joy into my life. He sadly passed a few years ago, but he left me with a deep understanding of the love, energy, and attention dogs need. These days, I occasionally help care for my partner’s family blind dog, who requires a lot of hands-on attention. While I only see him a few times a year, this experience has made me especially comfortable with dogs who have special needs or require extra patience and care. At home, I have a very sweet and sociable ginger cat who’s used to being around other animals, so if your pup needs to come by for a visit, rest assured they'll be in good company! I work from home with a flexible schedule, which means I can easily adapt to your dog’s routines, whether they need frequent potty breaks, a midday walk, or just some company and cuddles while you’re away. I'm here to make sure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and well cared for. Looking forward to meeting your pup! I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which allows me to easily adapt to your dog’s specific needs, whether that’s regular walks, feeding times, medication, or just extra cuddle time throughout the day in a calm, pet-friendly environment. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in the pet owner’s home, my approach is always the same: patient, loving, and tailored to the pet’s unique needs. I make sure to follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, giving medication, or ensuring plenty of play, walks, or quiet time depending on their personality. At my home, pets are welcomed into a calm, cozy environment where they’ll have space to relax and feel safe. I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the day to provide companionship and attention. If I’m in your home, I respect your space and maintain a clean, pet-safe environment while making sure your pet feels secure and cared for in their familiar surroundings. With experience caring for both energetic dogs and those with special needs, I’m confident and comfortable adapting to different situations, always keeping your pet’s happiness and well-being as my top priority.

“Charlotte was great with Olive! Olive went on really long walks which was super helpful as she is a very high energy puppy, Charlotte was on time, communicated well and very willing to accomodate olive and her needs :)”

About: I've grown up around all kinds of animals, ranging from dogs, cats, rabbits, hampsters and reptiles. My love for dogs came from my Alfie, he was my little companion from the age of 9 up until he sadly passed away last year. I trained him from a puppy so I am able to cater to the needs of puppies and senior dogs - I've also looked after other family / friends pets and have been a frequent dog walker for people's dogs on sites like this I work from home full time, with a pretty flexible job so I'm able to take your dog(s) for a quick or long walk whenever needed. I try to get out for at least an hours walk before work, during my lunch and after work. I live right next to Arthurs Seat/Holyrood Park and a 10 minute walk to the meadows so there is plenty of greenery around for your dog to play :) I lift in a second floor flat so there are some stairs to walk up to get up there. However, the flat is large and can cater to your dogs needs, a crate can be added if needed and just let me know your requirements and I can adjust accordingly

About: I’ve been trusted to care for dogs and cats of all ages, breeds and sizes. I take the responsibility of caring for another person’s pet extremely seriously. I’m a remote freelancer, so my schedule is very flexible! I’m happy to take your dog for walks throughout the day, feed them and keep them company at home. I treat every home with respect and follow all instructions carefully to keep pets safe, happy and comfortable. I stick to their routine, maintain cleanliness and provide regular updates for peace of mind.

About: I love dogs and am currently working at Just Dogs shop in Stockbridge so have plenty of hands on experience! I also a few years ago worked with a site called Pawshake in Cornwall and dog sat and walked along the coast which was lovely. I am always available on Mondays, Thursday and Fridays and some other evenings and the occasional weekend day. I can be very flexible and work around your schedule to make things easier - just send me a message and I can check if I’m free (the app availability may be out of date). Look forward to hearing from you! I work part time at Just Dogs in Stockbridge and have some week and weekend days free and can be very flexible and am happy to travel around Edinburgh. I live in a two bedroom flat in Dean Village and have an enclosed garden on the water so nice access to a private outside space. Straight onto the water of leith and parks so very lucky spot for dog walking! And lots of space at home so dogs of all sizes and needs.

Carmen M.
“I was skeptical at first, but I did not want to leave my dog alone during the whole weekend so I thought I could try this app since my flatmate used to take care of pets and she used this app. I texted Carmen and told her I was a bit worried so she said that we could meet next to Bristo square and see how the dog felt. I thought that was a great idea and when Willow saw her he kinda fell in love 🥲. He jumped on her and started licking her jeans. I just hope he doesn’t like her more than he likes me 🤣. Thank you Carmen! And definitely see you another time”

Jiajun W.
“Jiajun is absolutely amazing with dogs! From the moment we met, I could tell how much love and patience he has for animals. My dog felt comfortable with him right away, which says a lot because she is usually shy around new people. Jiajun kept me updated with adorable pictures and messages every day, so I always knew my dog was happy and safe. He took her for long walks, gave her plenty of playtime, and treated her like family. I couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter. I highly recommend Jiajun to anyone who loves their pets!”

Freya J.
“Freya is caring, responsible and kind who I always trust with my furry friends! I often leave my dog Bruno in the capable hands of Freya and he always comes back beaming with glee! Sometimes I wonder if he'd rather live with Freya! Just know that by choosing Freya to care for your furry friend, they will be in very safe hands and probably won't want to leave! Cannot recommend Freya enough.”

Ellen C.
“First and foremost Ellen is a dog lover. She always connects with the dog in any gathering or household. Dog welfare is of great importance to her. I would highly recommend her as a dog caregiver.”

Beth L.
“Beth is a calming influence on my 10 month old cocker spaniel puppy who has a lot of energy to burn. My dog loves playing fetch and tug of war with Beth, and enjoys relaxing with cuddles in her company, which can usually be challenging as my dog is easily over stimulated.”

Fanny W.

Rochelle F.
“Rochelle is a great pet sitter, she's looked after my two dogs and two cats for a few years now and all I can say is that I won't consider another pet sitter. She always provides updates (with videos and photos) as I miss them dearly whilst I'm away! She eases their anxiety whilst I'm away with cuddle and play time and completely understands my pets individual needs. She's flexible with timing (my flight was late and she was able to continue sitting until I got back at last minute). She really takes a lot of care and consideration into pet sitting and I can't recommend her enough. She's been recommended to all my family and friends!”

Clementine E.
“Clemmie is a wonderful person and very trustworthy. She cares a lot about doing the best job she can, and this is evident in her care towards my dog, Milo. Clemmie has taken care of my Bichon Frise Milo on multiple occasions and has gone above and beyond each time (longer and more exciting walks, socialising with other dogs, lots of 1 on 1 time). Milo always comes back to me happy and knackered. As a person, Clemmie is warm, friendly, funny and approachable. I would definitely recommend her.”
