“I was initially worried about using a dog walker while I'm at work but Ryan came and did a meet and greet with myself and Reggie and it is working out really well. Ryan keeps me updated with when he picks Reggie up and I always get a Rover card and photos after the walk. I would have no hesitation to recommend Ryan to others. He clearly loves his job. Thankyou Ryan”
“Highly recommended and professional, came to meet Maggie the day before and pick up the key, and took her for a nice walk the next day (despite the less than ideal weather)”

About: I have grown up with a variety of pets, including fish, dumbo rats, a rabbit, a Sharpei and currently an active, friendly French Bulldog. Also, my sister, who is also a Rover sitter, has trusted me to help with pets that she has cared for, including walking and play. As well as this, I helped care for an unwell senior Jack Russell. I have just completed my A-Levels and am currently available throughout the week where I can dedicate my time to your pet. For walks and check ins, I am available up to or around 8pm every day. I would follow any instructions left by the owner in order to make the pet feel more comfortable and keep its routine. I would make sure that they were kept entertained. I am ok to take them on extended walks if the breed requires.
About: Hi, I’m Larnie! I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember and have always had both dogs and cats in my life. I currently have one dog and four cats of my own, including a kitten that I raised from birth. I also cared for and raised a litter of four kittens, helping them grow into happy, healthy cats before finding homes for them. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, responsibility, and understanding each pet’s individual needs. I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending time with them, so you can be confident that your pets will be cared for with the same love and attention that I give my own. I have recently finished college, which means I currently have a very flexible schedule and can provide visits throughout the week. I’m available most days, with limited availability on Saturday afternoons and Sunday midday. I aim to work locally so I can be reliable and responsive for both regular and last-minute bookings. From September, my availability may become more limited as I move home, but I will continue offering pet services and will keep my schedule updated. The safety, comfort, and wellbeing of every pet in my care is my top priority. I believe pets are happiest when their usual routine is maintained, so I aim to provide calm, reliable care tailored to their individual needs. I have experience caring for both cats and dogs and currently have four cats and one dog of my own. For pet visits ,I can provide feeding, fresh water, litter tray cleaning - cats - , playtime, companionship, and medication if required with clear instructions. I understand that every pet has a different personality, and I will always respect their boundaries while making sure they feel safe and cared for. If boarding is required, I have a large secure fenced garden for dogs and an enclosed outdoor area for cats providing a safe environment for pets. I am also working towards creating an even better dedicated space for pet care in my home. Throughout every booking, I provide regular photo and video updates, and I’m always happy to keep owners informed for extra peace of mind. I will treat your pets with the same love, patience, and attention that I give my own.

I have experience training dogs from puppies through to adulthood, so I’m confident handling energetic or strong dogs. I have currently studying part time so this is perfect for me. I am available a total of 4 days a week and study for the other 3. I feel that this fits into my life very well. If walking your dog, I will be okay whether big or small. “Mabel loves her walks with Jo and his partner, she’s always well looked after and can’t wait to see him/them again, I have peace of mind knowing my home and my dog will be very well taken care of. I am disabled and can go into hospital at anytime..knowing I have someone whom I can trust to make sure Mabel’s ok means everything, Jo has become invaluable to me in a short time and has never let me down and goes above and beyond what’s expected of him 😊”

“Courtney took our 40kg Kangal puppy out for a nighttime stroll whilst my wife and I were out at a concert. Seems Sully must like Courtney as apparently he walked really well with his head collar! It gave us peace of mind to get a message from Courtney to say he was lovely and put back to bed. The Rover card is great too, with a cute photo of our boy all dressed and ready for his walk. We've already booked Courtney again!”
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs in the past 3 years, from nervous dogs to those who are super playful. Each of them I give the care and attention they need. I treat all dogs like my own, fussing, attention and care. Puppy care too, as we all know they are hard work. 😅 I work evenings/nights.. and my partner works during the day so there is normally always someone. My routine differs, depending on my shift work but always make time to go out for walks. I can offer home-boarding to you, alongside my dog Rex. As long as they get along and we can meet up prior. He is super playful, well socialised & neutered. I do have a secure long garden (around 30m), so plenty of space for dogs to run around in. Getting to know your dog beforehand is, and meeting them with Rex is always best as it puts your mind as ease and for all involved. Please let me know your dogs vets (just incase) and any special requirements beforehand. If there is anything specific to them but happy to help and accommodate! My home is a home away from home for them ☺️

Dog owners share their Rover experiences - Basildon
Catherine has been a fantastic dog walker for Buddy. She is reliable, friendly and clearly has a genuine love for dogs. Buddy always comes back happy and well exercised after his walks. Communication has been great and it is reassuring to know he is in such safe and capable hands. Highly recommended.

Really happy that we chose Linda to walk our dog Daisy for a few days while we were unable to. First time had to use a dog walker & was a bit apprehensive & also worried how our dog would be with someone new. So pleased. Linda arranged a meet & greet beforehand & it did put our minds at rest & Daisy was happy. The walks all went really well & our dog has had some lovely times. Linda communicated quickly giving us updates & some great pics. As well as dog walking she would spend some time in the garden with her & settle her back down with cuddles before leaving. Really helped us out & lovely to know. Will definitely use Linda again in the future & nice they now have that bond.
