“Nicole watched my dog for two days and did a great job. She kept me updated and sent me pictures and videos. She made sure he got his exercise and playtime in daily, and Romeo had alot of fun too. I highly recommend Nicole and will use her the next time I need a dog sitter.”

“Kristin, you were so great with Daisy! The pictures and texts you sent on how Daisy was doing made us feel really good. When we picked her up, she was all smiles and excited! I highly recommend Kristin to anyone needed a dogsitter!”

About: I have many years of personal experience with my own pets which included several cats and fish. I now am a reptile owner. They include a beardie dragon, uromastix, a snake and several tarantulas. I have pet sat dogs(walking) and cats(check in) for neighbors and co-workers on and off as a kid and adult. Going to veterinary school and working in a vet clinic gave me additional experience and skills with animals.I enjoy being around animals and believe them to be part of the family. Reliable, trustworthy and punctual would describe me. Good communication with owners is also important. My availability is open at this time for weekdays and weekends. Don't hesitate to ask questions as I will respond. Have a good day and happy tails!! Currently I am available all seven days for pet sitting and housesitting. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have about my bookings Attending to their needs first. Potty breaks, feedings, litter cleaning or medication. Then some personal attention with pets or hugs. Then fun time with walks or toys!
“Beth saved the day (week, month!) during a family emergency, and said yes to a last-minute canine house guest ... over Christmas! I needed to find a safe spot for my dad's dog, and Beth not only took her in but also made her feel like part of the household, as well as sending me regular updates and happy photos during their week+ stay. I can't thank Beth enough for her flexibility, openness, and compassion. Highly recommend!”

“Our dog had a wonderful stay with Cindy. Cindy and her husband were very friendly. They treated our dog as if it was their own. I will definitely use Cindy again. Highly Recommend.”

About: Dogs are my favorite friends. I take care of them just like they are mine. i love giving them cuddles, kisses and yummy cold treats. Your loved ones will have the best time when they are with me. Frequent walking, playtime, and safety are my top priority when taking care of them. Of course, cuddles, food and comfy blankets/beds too! I enjoy training dogs with any kind of cool tricks. I’m currently working at home. I usually walk 3x during the day. Early morning, mid day and evening. Your furry friends will join me on my walks and have 30 mins individual play time x 2 during the day and before bed time. I have a fenced yard and a small friendly dog that will keep your dog active at all times. Water will always be filled up for them to sip on. Sunroom to keep them comfortable at all times when weather permits. When the weather gets too hot/cold, your furry bestie are going to warm up/cool off/play/rest in the basement. they are free to roam inside the house.
“Im so glad i found maddie! She was so accomodating and enthusiastic about watching our dog for a couple days. She had no trouble handling my dog, even though he struggles with anxiety and food aggression. She gave candor all the attention he needed, and he came home a very happy dog.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my whole life. Growing up my family had a golden retriever, Yorkshire terrier and beagle lab mix. I recently lost my 17 year old cava-poo. I’m currently working part time and have Mondays and Fridays available to help you out any way I can. Weekends are also flexible for your needs. I have a fenced in backyard to keep your dog safe. I also have a large crate inside if needed. My cat is super friendly and gets along with all pets.
“Destiney was so sweet! She sent me videos of my puppy while I was away. She responds back quickly to messages and has great customer service overall. She gave my puppy a bath prior to me picking him up which was an added bonus. Lastly, she was very accommodating and understanding when I had issues with the pickup time due to unforeseen circumstances. I will definitely book all my future dog boarding with her. This was my first time booking with Rover and I want to thank Destiney for such a wonderful experience.”

“Best sitter ever goes above and beyond my puppy loves his company and environment. He will send daily updates and pictures/videos of your dog and walks them. Will always use his services”

“Penny was great! She sent many photo updates of our puppies. They had many adventure walks, had time to play in her yard, and they also did some training sessions. We will definitely be back!”

“They were awesome! My pup, on the other hand, was not, and they still were able to help and accommodate me while I was out of town. Shout to the neighbor as well!! Thank you both again”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
